I remember that 3 years ago, when I bought a Jap game and late they release the English translation, then DLsite sends me a coupon 100% and was free the English version
But in last year, now I need buy both versions, not more free english version if you have the jap version
With Female Brave Iruru I love the game, but I am angry, they released a trial by $8 (RJ272105), late the complete game (RJ320738) by $15 and now release the english game (RJ384888) by $15

Yes, they arent same product, but more balance plz T_T

Well, DlSite has no official policy about that point.

At first English translation (not fan made unofficial) where rare, and usually specifically made for the customer of the English version of Dlsite.
That was when they gave free coupon for owner of the JP version. At that time, English and Japanese version of the game had different RJ (/RE) numbers.

Since merging the EN and JP sites, Dlsite only have one RJ number for each work, you just select the language version before buying it.
It's at that time that the last free coupon were seen. So one can assume that they stop giving them for late English version release. And not every work with an English version had a free coupon.

But, yes, I'm 100 % (and more) with you with having to re buy the English version when a dev release it years after the original version. Look at " " - it only got an official English release after the full version (game + update + append) was release. So nearly 3 years after. Thankfully by the time the append was announced, the dev had stated the WIP of the English version. But if you had buy the original version before the English released, you would have had to buy it again... 3 years to wait is a long time (or just 1.5 if you waited for the official announcement).

I'm not even talking about dev mentioning after 2 years of ci-en, the game release and one year after the release that they plan to do a English version (sometime without even ever doing it).
It's hard to keep waiting hopefully. You can't buy every work twice. Fan can't translate all work...
One reason peoples goes for pirated work.

There was a time when they shared the number, but with RE instead of RJ for the file if it was English DLSite exclusive, post merger the ownership was trnasfered to their new RJ number.
The 100% off coupons also aren't always on release.

It was a guarented to me, I said: "Today I buy the Jp release, if late they release the ENG I will receive free" I remember that I received a Spanish coupon too
Now sometimes they translate 1.10 and late the game launch the 2.0 and the english dont receive update =/ It is worst when the english version is Steam exclusive
If I buy only onetime is more safety ... or return at pirate

English version exclusive mean the game ain't translated by the dev or Dlsite. It's a 3rd party who d the localization (like Kagura games) and they release on Steam (maybe other platform) but not Dlsite / DMM to avoid the difference in law regarding adult material. And since it's on another platform, Dlite can't gave free coupon. The dev might aim for handing free key code... but the 3rd party will be against it, since they need to make money selling it to avoid being in the red after working to localize the work.

They used to give you a coupon to get the English for free whenever a game you owned got translated by them, but they stopped doing it when the sites merged.

I was kind of upset about it because I had been issued two coupons, which I had not yet redeemed, and they canceled my coupons when they made the change. When I asked customer support about it they told me they were not going to give the coupons back. I wish I had redeemed them right away instead of waiting now. None of my older free giveaways were lost, however.

But yeah. They don't do it anymore. Really nice developers may sometimes add english to the Original game. The guys who make Goblin Burrow decided to add English as an inexpensive patch/DLC you can purchase for their game.

But as a general rule, if you think there is any chance at all the game will later be translated to English, you might as well just go ahead and wait for the English before making a purchase.
