the password does not have 3 characters. So, at least:
80 * 80 * 80 * 80 = 40960000 / 1000 = 40960 = 11,37777777777778 hours to find out if it has four
3276800000 / 1000 = 3276800 = 910 hours to find out if it has five..
Okay, calculating these made me realize it's stupid to crack it with MY program. It'll just take forever and there's a good chance it has like 8 characters, which could take like a full year of computing power, at least at this speed...
The program is using up 100% of my CPU to not do much, that's why I haven't been doing it full-time.
Unless someone has a better program, it's just not going to work.
It's going at a thousand attempts per second... Which is veeeeeeeery slow. I believe there are about 80 symbols per character slot, probably more.*sigh* how long is this gonna takes to crack the passwords.... I can't crack it, someone PLEASE crack it for me...

Not only is he pirating stuff, but he makes it so money comes to him because of it. So not only is he screwing up the developers, he's making sure a small part of money that COULD go to the Dev is going to himself instead. Using the Cash Sharers is bad but not the worst thing he could do, he goes as far as making people give money almost directly by paying a premium account through a referral link...

Did you try to copy/paste the password into the rar file? I know that some passworded archives only work if you actually type out the password.
Also, could you try sending me the links to the password he supplies?

Hentaipalm is sort of a different story I think. He was a moderator for hentaipalm and is the reason why we got one of the previous versions of Kasumi Rebirth (Either the first version or 2.09 ), I'm not even sure what triggered a change in him.

Just as a note, this file was posted on leonsblog during what appeared to be a minor freakout on the owner's part. He made a post in general about feeling very insulted and unappreciated, and that he didn't care about various things any more, referring to himself as the "fallen king". Shortly thereafter, the kasumi link was posted, with the suffix "(cracked by fallen king)", with comments disabled on that post. The "fallen king" stuff has since been deleted, but comments are still locked on the Kasumi post.
So, what I'm saying is that there's the possibility that this is a troll/attention grab. Not necessarily definite, so probably worth it to keep trying, but still, possible. Perhaps ask around the leonstreasury forums (though they appear to be "closed" at the moment), see if anyone else has had success.

Just noticed that the URL listed on the kasumi download page isn't broken -- it's misspelled. Replace "vip-pases1" with "vip-passes1" in the URL, and you get a "VIP-Only" page. Maybe the guy with the VIP account can check this out?

Still, there might be something more to the archive than meets the eye. Some people try to make passworded archives a little tricky to open for security reasons, such as making them case sensitive or hiding the real password in descriptions like the little angels hentai forum does.

i've been searching around. it seems like noone that is able enough cares about cracking this game.

for what i can understand there isn't much new content. some new costumes, backrounds, a few new touching gimmicks.
i like this game, but i certainly would never waste my time cracking something when the new version barely succeeds in bringing "new" elements to the game.

Yeah, it basically comes down to people giving enough of a crap to stake money on it.
Removing the DRM is fairly easy, but it requires access to a validated copy of the game. i.e. buying it.
I have no interest in buying this, and I doubt anyone will buy it for me or share their dlsite account, so that's where my participation ends.

You guys do realize that this game has the Username/password protection.
I once long time ago downloaded it (3.1) and i still have it. But the problem is that I cant play the darn thing! When I try to run it, it ask for DLsite.com User ID and password.
So until someone makes a crack or a proxy, we are stuck!

And you do realize the uploaded game includes "cracked" in it's description.

i have it, but i need to redownload it from dlsite (new computer)
the problem is, when i check my old games, theres nothing there.
if i search month by month, i can find it (i did last time) but i have no idea when i got it, so that could take hours.
but if i just search "older than (yesterday)" nothing shows up.
i guess its just fucking broken.
edit: lucky break. i pressed a month/year at random and just found it.
its a porn miracle!
now, onto the hard part,

the old version used to have a program that linked you to a server, didn't require a password, but still required you to have verified it.

so unless someone wants to make a new dlsite account, buy the game, remove payment options, then share the account I guess we might as well call this one busted.
