Final fuck error help

im having an issue trying to get Final F*ck to run. i got this game with the DLC from DLsite years ago and could never get it to run past the character select screen.
the game closes and gives me this error "Player Open Error[fxfg[fs[.player]" and 2 others like this with random letters when i press OK and just closes.
i have my local set to Japanese, opened with admin mode, and Directplay is on. also tried methods from other forums and still getting the same error. should i try getting the game from another source? or maybe im missing a file thats not offered from the official download?

Sorry to see this thread sit so long.

Do you play a lot of Japanese games? So you know to adjust for locale? If you play a game using the wrong locale setting, it won't be able to find its own media files, because it can't read their names right.
