As they neared the fleshy structures, Himari held her breath a few moments as she looked about, wondering what the strange noises coming from them all was. "I think they are muffled voices Cassy. We need to check this... out," Himari replied slowly as the larval looking creatures came out from several of the structures.

When the scarabs burst from the ground, Himari gasped and tried to rejoin the others, but she and Cassy were cut off by four of the dozen that sprang out of the ground at them. "Shit, come on Cassy, let's do this. Work with me and we'll take them out one by one," Himari told her apprentice, using her torch in her left hand to keep the other scarabs at bay as she closed in on the nearest one to them both and stabbed it with her sword, pinning it to the ground for Cassy to hack its head off.

The first Scarab did not even have the time to reach its preys before Himari's blow stopped it, and Cassy's arrow achieved it. While Himari fends off the second Scarab, the remaining two team up against Himari's protegee. One of them tries to charge her while the other one bombards her with a sticky spit.

Himari and Cassy fight well, managing to wound the second and third Scarab, Himari only receiving a graze from one of the insects' charge. However, one of the spit projectiles hit Cassy straight away. She falls back, stuck on her ass and on the ground, as her two opponents began to close in.
"I'm... I'm stuck. Is that what they use to build their nest?"

Himari stabbed her blade down into the nearest scarab, stopping it in its tracks and serving it up to Cassy on a silver platter pretty much, while also managing to keep the others at bay with the torch. One of them managed to get through though and bit Himari's leg, where she kicked out at it and shooed it away. Himari looked over to see the other two going for Cassy while the other kept her busy, trying the same tactic apparently as they were. "Probably Cassy, don't let them get on you, stab them with an arrow if you got to," Himari said, moving to aid her apprentice by kicking the other two scarabs away from Cassy.

Once she had managed to clear the area enough, Himari slashed the goo and pulled Cassy to her feet. "Come on hon, shoot the second one there, I'll keep these two off of you," Himari said, nimbly dodging and slashing at the third and fourth scarabs to keep them away.


(Just for clarification, Himari is going to attack the third scarab after freeing Cassy. Just thought I'd add this into an edit.)

Himari immediately comes to her student's help, and the two of them make short work of their opponents. However, Himari, disadvantaged by having close combat equipement, receives several wounds.
The fight ends on a victorious note, the whole party having managed to dispatch the scarabs without much damage.
"We need to help the people inside those things! " Cassy exclaimed. Unfortunately, time would prove to be of the essence, as a new, more ominous rumble could be heard.

Himari had to act fast. Should she try to rescue as many prisonners as possible, and try to face whatever foe was coming their way, or should she order her party to either press forward into the cave, or back to their entry point?

As soon as she got Cassy back up onto her feet, Himari moved between Cassy and the third and fourth scarabs. Himari got a few bites in the process, but the two of them managed to take out the rest of those scarabs that were attacking them thankfully. "Aye we do Cassy, let's... damn, something's coming guys. We need to hurry," Himari began replying to the group before they heard something else coming. "Check all the structures, fast," Himari ordered the group, moving to the nearest and looking inside while the others spread out and did the same.

If they found anyone inside any of the structures, Himari ordered her group to free them and bring them out to the middle of the area the structures were set at. If the ominous rumbling got closer, Himari would scramble to get the structures cleared out of prisoners before looking to the others. "Alright guys, get these people to safety, Cassy and I will see what that is," Himari would order the rest of the group while she and Cassy went to check out the thing coming their way, quietly of course.

The clock was ticking, as the Hunters explored the nests. In each of the small structures, a prisonner was bound with the same adhesive sap the scarabs were using earlier. There were varying species, and either females or hermaphrodites. Some of them had given birth or were giving birth to the Scarab's grubs, while the others were bloated with the creatures' eggs. All of them were visibly tired. There was no trace of Soprano yet.

Himari and her troop go as fast as they can, but the rumbling went closer and closer, until something sprouted out of the earth. It was a strange, monstruous creature. It was humanoid in appearance, and very big, dwarfing all of the Hunters in size and thickness. Its hide was dark, and looked thick. It had four long, muscled arms, and legs ending in digitigrad feet. Its face looked brutish. Small, red eyes in too many number surrounding a muzzle which parted open like the petals of a flower, or the tentacles of an octopus, depending on the point of view. The creature had a thick penis which ended in the same kind of splitting, hollow head; it also had breasts, or what passed as breats, the same kind of hellish mouths replacing its areolas, with tentacles escaping the opening.

"C... Can we even win against that?" Cassy wonders, visibly afraid.

"Commander! There are 8 victims. We'll try to carry them out as fast as we can." shouted the Elvan Hunter.

As they explored the structures, Himari and company found several prisoners inside the things, which they quickly cut free and got out, pulling the scarab larvae out of them to speed their birthings up some. When Himari didn't see Soprano, she breathed a sigh of relief, though she was still worried that the poor harpy girl may be further in somewhere.

"Oh shit, take cover, quick," Himari hissed softly at Cassy as the Eldritch Guardian burst from the ground. "Cancel that guys, Eldritch Guardian first. The two of us can't take something like this by ourselves, not in our current state. Then it might come after the rest of you before you can get far enough back up. Cassy, you stay back a bit and hit it from a distance, everyone else that's melee, hack it to pieces, but keep it away from the prisoners," Himari called back, waiting for the Hunters to take positions before letting Cassy start them off by firing an arrow at the thing.

Once Cassy fired her first arrow, Himari would nod to the others as they all rushed in from different directions, so that it couldn't possibly stop them all, where they would all begin slicing tentacles and other bits of meat off the thing.

The other hunters try to use the distraction to weaken the guardian. They are very successful (1d10 = 10): the Eldritch Guardian loses 2 points of resistance (6/8)

The Guardian uses his multi-rape ability to remove Cassy's clothes.

Cassy lets her arrow fly towards its target. But the creature swats the projectile away and, now attracted by the recruit's attack, charged towards her. Surprising everyone, the towering guardian caught Cassy into her powerful arms, squeezing her against his black chest a meter or so from the ground. Himari jumped in to help Cassy, but one hand casually swaps the neko away. The other hunters use the opportunity to harass the giant beast, which tries uselessly to knock away the rest of his opponents.

However, the beast remained focused on Cassy. His muzzle split open to reveal a large, tube-like tongue which dived inside Cassy's armor and took it off, Meanwhile, one of his hands pulled Cassy's shorts down.
Before long, the tentacles of that beast played with his preys body. His main tongue lathered her with saliva, while the tentacles sprouting from the mimicries of breasts played with their respective bosom. More worringly, the creature frotted his wang against Cassy's labia; the hollow end of the rod was closed and now ressembled a "normal" penis, and was about to enter the blonde girl's intimacy.

(Well I didn't know that. So Himari called for them all to stand their ground against it. Also, if it was just her and Cassy there was no way they'd have been able to manage even 2 or 3 rounds I don't think. :p)


As Cassy's arrow flies towards the Guardian, it batted the thing away and moved towards Cassy. Himari tried to jump in and release Cassy after the Guardian scooped her up easily before she could do anything to stop it, but Himari was knocked away for her troubles. Hissing angrily at the Guardian, Himari jumped back up as the others take a few successful swings at the thing, where she then jumped at its back and began hacking at the tentacles sprouting from there.

"You... fucking bastard. Let my apprentice go!" Himari shouted at the thing, hacking and slashing at the tentacles.

When she saw the thing's cock beginning to poke at Cassy's folds, Himari growled and jumped down and before it could thrust up into her, she stabbed her blade into the thing's shaft. "NO YOU FUCKER, LET HER GO!" Himari screamed at the thing, hoping to force its attention on her, where she would dodge anything coming at her and try to cut the thing to pieces, trying to remain as calm as possible, though it was tough when her apprentice was in dire straits like this.

(5 vs 1 should still not be that tough a fight, although it is supposed to be a boss fight after all, from what its stats look like anyway. So I don't expect them to come away without some pregnancies at least.)


Before she could stop it, Himari could only watch as Cassy was impaled upon the Guardian's huge cock, which barely fit in the recently deflowered Cassy. (That sucks, my bro was sick last week. And that's fine about the boss thing, I would figure though that between the 4 of them, that they would have dealt a little bit more damage than they have, but that's the way the dice roll sometimes.)


With the others help, Himari and company manage to whittle away little by little, the Guardian's body. Himari angrily gritted her teeth, trying to keep from making a stupid mistake before they could destroy the thing. Cassy unfortunately was paying the price for everything it seemed. "Cassy honey, just... t-try and hang on. I swear we'll get you down," Himari swore to Cassy.

Himari couldn't help but think to herself that this was all her fault, which if kind of was since she suggested a slightly less experienced Hunter came with each group. She tried her hardest to break Cassy free or kill the thing, aiming for the most vital point that she knew of on one of these Eldritch Guardians.

Himari desesperatly assaults the Eldritch Guardian, but receives a powerful punch for all her trouble, which sends her on the ground. Slowly losing consciousness, her last sight is of Cassy's distended belly in the throes of orgasm, spurting cum against the creature's pitch black hide while grubs keep piling in her body.

"I'll make you a full report once every one has rested, but the gist of it is that we fell that beast thanks to your and Cassy's efforts. A big crack was visible on its surface "We "deactivated" it, and the Maze reacted around us as if it was closing, but it did not close all the way. Other groups reported having fought the same kind of creatures as us and found the same kind of objects. Captain Lilly has a theory on what's happen..."

(Poor poor Cassy, though she is inexperienced, even with the mind meld thing. So I think it works out that she got so overwhelmed like she had. If she hadn't, I would have been very surprised. :p)


As she climbed up and prepared to stab the thing in the head or wherever she could really, Himari paid the price for letting her emotions get the better of her as the huge beast slammed its fist into her and sent her flying. The last thing Himari remembered seeing was first the guardian pounding Cassy some more, and then the floor rushing to meet her face as she slammed into the wall and then fell.

When she woke up again, Himari groaned a little before springing up to a sitting position. "Cassy, is Cassy okay?" Himari asked quickly, before groaning again and holding the back of her head where it'd slammed into the rocks.

She listened to the report from her comrade that was healing her before she heard Cassy's moans filling the chamber. Looking over, Himari instantly teared up at seeing Cassy in such a state. Sniffling, she looked away, unable to bear seeing her new apprentice like that. "I wish it had been me instead of her, she didn't deserve that," Himari cursed her own luck that the Guardian hadn't come for her instead of Cassy.

At least the others were comforting Cassy in her stead, because Himari apparently couldn't do anything to help her apprentice. Hell she'd gotten knocked out before they could even finish the thing off. This got Himari thinking, did she even deserve to be a commander, or even a captain herself after this? "W-What else has happened since I was knocked out? Has there been any more attacks? Or since you took out that thing has it mostly subsided around here?" Himari asked the elven guy healing her, trying to get a hold of herself and stop thinking negatively.


Edit: (I'll say, put give Himari another RP, and Cassy should get 5 points into Physique.)

The elvan hunter seems to have noticed Cassy's disarray.
"That kind of things happen in our line of work, Himari. You were actually very brave during that fight. Were it not you and Cassy taking the brunt of that monster's assault, we would all be in the same state as she was."
"Oooooh! Huff... Huff..." Cassy bellowed as the last of the guardian's spawns escaped her body, proptly crushed by the hunter next to her.

"Sonia, can you take care of the rest? I'll put our young recruit back to her feet?" the elf asked.
"Sure thing." the tomboyish red-haired hermaphrodite replied while walking towards Himari.
"Sucks, right? Falling on a fucking A down in this hellhole." she swore while patting the Neko's arm in a recomforting gesture.
"Well, it seems the captain thinks this is intentional. These orbs are magical and, most importantly, man-made. Some bastard managed to find a way to artificially open a Maze. Lilly found traces of an old laboratory, near the epicenter of the Maze. She thinks the main ball is there, alongside whoever threw this shit at us."

A messager interrupted the hunter's explanation.
"I have new orders from Captain Lily. Currently available hunters are ordered to secure their positions while group commanders are to delegate their commandement and rendez-vous near the epicenter's entrance. We managed to secure a route from here."
"Himari..." Cassy said as she sat up while the healer patched her up. "I'm sorry. I must have disappointed you. But I will become stronger, I promise. In the meantime, I'll make sure nothing gets past here." she affirmed with conviction.
"Do you have any other questions about the current situation?" the herm hunter asked before Himari would take her leave.

"Still though, I'm supposed to be the commander of this group. And Cassy's my apprentice, my first apprentice to be exact. And yeah it does fucking suck. Stupid bastards," Himari said, first to the elven guy and then Sonja the other herm like herself and Cassy.

When the messenger came up as Sonja helped her to her feet, Himari listened and nodded before moving over to Cassy and kneeling next to her. "No Cassy, it's not your fault. And you didn't disappoint me, not at all. You held strong against that thing, enough so that me and the others could finish it off before it did anything else to anyone. If anything, I'm the one at fault here. I didn't think an A ranked monster would be down here. Hell if anything I didn't expect anything stronger than a C ranked monster to be honest. Just, rest up and everything okay, and be careful. When we train some more, you're gonna learn some blade work to go with that bow. You need to be able to melee fight too so that this doesn't happen as easily again," Himari told Cassy, patting her shoulder and leaning down to kiss her on the forehead before raising back up. "I gotta go though, Lily needs all the commanders at the lab, so just be careful okay. Sonja, you're in charge here until I either get back or you get word from Lily or someone to retreat back up to the surface," she added to Cassy and then Sonja, nodding before heading on to follow the messenger.

Himari hurried towards the rendez-vous point, following the torches placed along the way. Approaching from what seemed to be the entrance of the big cave, flesh-covered metallic doors wide open, she noticed Lily, standing alone and staff at the ready. She looked positively worried.

As soon as she saw Himari, she gestured her to hurry near her. Just as the neko herm was a few meters away, she felt a warm breath on her shoulder. She barely had the time to turn around and see a huge, chameleon-like creature about to tackle her, that a magic blast hit the reptilian creature, who promptly became invisible.

"That was close. Things are starting to get sour. There are Chamelenoids lurking around. They already caught the three other commanders. There's only one remaining, but that bastard is quick to return to his camouflage as soon as I see him." the Succubus swore.

(Heh, well I hope you like Himari's plan. It's a pretty serious one, but she's really serious about ending this threat now after what happened to Cassy.)


Moving onward, Himari soon came to where Lily was waiting for her. When the felt the warm breathing on her shoulder, Himari gasped and turned as Lily blasted the thing away from her. When Lily explained what was up, Himari smirked and closed her eyes for a moment. "Heh, then having a neko is perfect. Remember we have higher senses of hearing and smell than succubi and stuff. Plus I got a plan, just trust in me and be ready to help. You'll know when and how," Himari said with a smirk, sniffing about and twitching her cat ears around to listen for the thing.

Himari purposely moved away from Lily a little bit, letting her senses guide her. She was calm, very calm, and ready to strike at a moment's notice. She knew the Chamelenoid would come for her again, as she was the more winded of the two, and it was obvious she was. When she felt the breathing again, regardless of whether or not Lily saw the thing, Himari waited, and let the thing grab her, and then, she enacted her plan. In the blink of an eye, Himari spun her sword pointing downward, and shoved the thing through her own torso to ensure the creature didn't have a chance to dodge since it wouldn't expect it, impaling the thing and herself on the blade, and feeling it as a sort of penance for what she'd allowed to happen to Cassy. She aimed as best she could to avoid hitting any vitals, knowing what to aim away from. When she felt her blade go through the Chamelenoid, she released the handle and grabbed the thing over her head, wrapping her hands around its neck and throwing her legs out from under herself and forcing it down with her, slamming its jugular into her shoulder.

"Finish it Lily!" Himari would call out to Lily, waiting for the succubus to come over and finish the creature off before she pulled her blade out of herself and let it clatter to the ground. "F-Fuck, that hurts... l-like hell," Himari then groaned, hoping against hope that this would succeed.

((I should have more time for writing this week, hopefully. Sorry for the wait))

A fireball flew past Himari's head, burning the camouflaged monster. Losing its colours, it flayled and screeched as Lily put the beast's head on fire. It hastily retreats, leaving Lily and Himari alone.
The succubus rushed at the Neko's side. She immediately popped out a healing spell which closed the herm's wound before she lost too much blood. The mending was still slightly painful, but the most stressed out of the two seemed to be Lily.
"What the heck did you think you were doing?! Don't go all self-sacrifice on me you stupid cat!" she admonested her comrade. "Listen, I know you are very invested in your job, and your comrades, but please don't give me that kind of scare again, got it?" Lily asked in a worried tone.

Once Himari was completely patched up, Lily advanced cautiously towards the hidden room's entrace. "What have we got here?" she wondered out loud as she found a piece of paper not far from the entrance.

Day 3: I finally received the materials from H. It was about time. Still, I am very grateful to him, for managing to smuggle everything under both the guard's nose and the hunter guild's.
Day 5: First experiments not really successful. Small vortexes opened, only to close immediately. There doesn't seem to be enough energy to create a proper dimensional rift, and consequently a Maze. I need to get more gu...

"Hm... So my suspicions were well-founded. But who could be so stupid to try to open a Maze, and even more stupidly under the city?"

The path seemed to cotinue into a short corridor. There were one door on the left, one on the right, and one door at the end, with a lockpad on it.
"So... Left, or right?" Lily pondered.
