Re: In Cold Storage (River and Genevieve)

Gen was unsure about this. They were high up, and moving from chain to chain up here would be difficult and slow-going. Still, if it was difficult for their light forms to get up here to the top, it would be even more difficult for heavier, bulkier enemies to climb up here. Gen was also certain that there must be some sort of ventilation system installed to keep this room so cool, if indeed it was kept this temperature by a real system and not the devilish witchery that seemed to abound in this so-called reality.

Picking east has her direction, Gen began to grip her way between chains, in the same manner as River, hoping thing this wouldn't get too difficult.

Sticking to the chains as they made their way across the chilling room towards the direction of faded light, doing their best to keep the noise they made minimal, the two bare maidens would find the light from the candles becoming dimmer and dimmer as they proceeded...such that their surroundings became vague. As the light diminished, and the darkness intensified however...their other senses becoming more honed so as to account for such, they would become privy to a sound best described as heavy breathing coming from the direction they were heading towards...Panting, accompanied by nonsensical mumbling, as if there was perhaps someone, or something in the direction they were headed towards. Was the path of faded light truly the best decision?...

River stopped when she heard the breathing, waving silently to get Genevieve's attention. She then proceeded to put her finger to her lips to indicate silence, then started pantomiming her side of the conversation. She went through motions of breathing heavily, then pointed down where the sound was coming from. Then she pointed in the direction they were moving, towards the sound, then back the way they had came, ending with a shrug. it was hopefully apparent river wanted to know if gen thought they should head back, or try to sneak around whatever was making the breathing and muttering sounds.

Gen heard it as well. It didn't sound good, whatever it was. The darkness closing around them was making it difficult to see the chains in front of them. She nodded her head, motioning to River that yes, she did want to choose another direction.

((Can I do an intuition roll of some sort, to see if Gen notices or has a gut instinct about what to do in this situation?))
