Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well, I am fey, so I feel that I kind of have to send some prayers her way. Most fey do, at least of the ones that I know anyway. And yes, it is good in those cases to send a prayer her way too," Giselle said with a chuckle, blushing a bit when Cosimo called out to the crew that there was to be a wedding.

"Yes, as far as I know it was anyway. My sisters and I, Tina, my eldest sister, and Delilah our middle sister, we went with her to explore it and recover all of the gold that had sunk with it. Thankfully the whole bottom hadn't filled up with water too very much yet, so... we're rich now, hmhm," Giselle replied with a giggle when asked about the other boat. "And don't worry about this boat. I don't think Kylie would risk doing anything while I'm here, and even if she would, I think I can calm her back down," she added to ease his fears, grinning a bit as she too looked up at where Kylie was hiding.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

No one can calm that girl down when she gets goin. You usin your magics doesn't really count. I've yet to meet the soul that can bring her out of that rage with just words. Cosimo said sadly. She just... loses sight of everything. Even herself. That's why I'm so dead set on this. I run the Rose from the Sea most of the time. Where I'm A: Strongest, and B: Where my heart truly lies. Kylie could do much the same with Melora's Tear. She would just need a personal gate and then she'd be free to vanish as a shadow should. Cosimo mused, stroking his mustache slowly before standing and stretching.

Well, that can all wait, she really does have a great deal to think on. I'm sure she'll come back around quickly enough. The Trials are no laughing matter Giselle. So let's get you set up in my Cabin for now, me and Gessy will double up in his. And we can see about a meal. he said, scooping up her bags and showing her the way to the captain's cabin, a door on deck leading straight into a lavish albeit small living quarters.

Small things, and some very large ones, trinkets of Cosimo's travels, lined the walls, trophies of certain sea monsters, weapons, flags. He'd been a very busy pirate while he was still a-pirating and judging from the map on the far wall, been farther out then most. There were places marked on that map that even Giselle had never seen, islands far to the west and north along Styria. The Crimian Sea was well noted and mapped already, but Styria remained a bit of a mystery oceanwise, and what was most surprising was an archipellago that certainly shouldn't have existed far to the southwest called the Screaming Isles.

Cosimo only took the time to collect a sword and a bandolier of pistols from the wall, this particular cutlass looking far plainer then the one he was wearing, it's surface from hilt to where the blade hid in it's leather shining with an odd mercurial silver shimmer, looking as if it would melt at the slightest touch or fall away in a shower of liquid metal. But it didn't and he chuckled as he kissed the hilt and left Giselle to the ship and in peace for now, Try not to touch anything... well... I suppose Anything hanging on the walls is fine, but that chest there, truly Giselle lass, don't disturb it. he said, pointing at a large locked ornate chest against the western wall of the cabin Some monsters should stay in their boxes. was all he said on that before leaving her in peace.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Mmm... I think I could do it, given enough time. And not just with my songs," Giselle replied softly, looking confident in her ability to calm Kylie down, as she had done it several times now. "And it's fine Cosimo, sir, I truly wouldn't mind if you had me sleeping up in the crow's nest to be honest. I've slept in much worse places, I assure you," she went on to say with a smile, though she didn't refuse his offer and followed him to his cabin, sighing softly as she brought her bags in with her that she'd had out on deck.

Looking around once inside, Giselle smiled to Cosimo as he grabbed his weapons, and nodded when he told her not to open the chest. "Alright, I won't open it. Also... may I?" Giselle replied, looking pointedly at his cutlass, looking eager to inspect it closer. "I've never seen a sword like this before. It looks so... different," she added, looking at the thing closely before handing it back and let him go on.

Once she was alone, Giselle looked closer around the room, staying clear of the stuff he'd told her not to touch. "Hmm... I hope Kylie's okay," Giselle murmured to herself as she sat down on the edge of the bed in there to see how comfortable it was.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hm? Aye if ye want. It's called a Drake Blade. He said, holding the sword out for her to unsheath. When she did, she found it was just a hilt. Come now, You're just a pretty thing without your teeth. he said to the blade, No hidin, she's family. He cooed further, where Giselle would see a wicked shimmer form along the hilt before the metal rushed forward into a long sweeping cutlass blade from the basket hilt. It would shimmer with that same mercurial look all along the length, and Giselle would have sworn she'd seen it move.

There are a few different ones, rare, very rare. All of them There, in the Screaming Isles. He's the only one far from his home. His name in Common would be called... He struggled to remember for a long moment.

Sorry, what is one word in Creshanin turns into something of a poem in Common or Styrian. Wont even translate into the Crimean hometongue. It's true name is Sansseron which means "When the Darklight Dances on the Calm waters." They're made from the blood of elder dragons, and the catch is the dragon must be alive for it to be forged. Hence the name Drake Blade. This one's Blood bearer is a Quicksilver Dragon and well, like it's bearer that blade has some very... interesting abilities. I was there at his end, it was the only gift he could give. Cosimo said, stroking the blade gingerly before taking it back and sliding it into it's sheathe. It's alive, but I'm not sure if it's sentient. It's never spoken. Mayhaps it's just shy. he said, smiling softly.

He took his leave then while Giselle was left to ponder Kylie.

Kylie for her part did join her in the cabin about a half hour later, looking a little tired but smiling as she changed into something more comfortable, leaving most of her weapons by the bed. How's Dad treating you. she asked, smiling.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"A Drake Blade... wow, never seen one before. It's... not here," Giselle said, before Cosimo urged the blade to materialize for her to draw it. "It's beautiful Cosimo. And a very good blade," she added, gently handing it back to Cosimo.

"And I've heard of some of those really powerful weapons that are sentient. I know that the overlord of the Netherworld has one, because Hazel's told me as much before, but other than his, I don't really know of anyone else having one, save those in the old tales of heroes long past," Giselle said, looking thoughtful as he resheathed the blade. "And... maybe I could coax him to speak up, perhaps... if he can that is," she added with a wink.

When Kylie finally came in half an hour later, after Giselle got the room cleaned up a little bit to her liking, and their things put away and stuff, Giselle smiled at her and leaned over to kiss Kylie on the lips when she got close enough. "He's a sweetie. And he seems really happy to see me, and you obviously. I think he's... almost giddy actually," Giselle replied to Kylie, leaning her naginata over on the wall near the bed.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Yeah, he's in high spirits. It's nice to see him like this. He's usually so sour, or faking. Kylie said, returning the kiss and snuggling up with Giselle to the rhythm of the ship on the waves.

Surprised he brought the warship though. he DOES have smaller ships in his fuckin fleet. He's expecting trouble at the harbor I think. She said, flopping back onto the bed and looking around the walls.

Wouldn't get your hopes up on talking to his sword though. That thing... Seen him use it once, never seen 10 men fall faster in my life. And I honestly to this day have no idea how he did it. But bleh, I'm already homesick, and the kick is I'm going home! This isn't fair. she whined, rolling around on the bed like an 8 year old who didn't get dessert.

I told him NO to big dinners with the crew though. That's always a mess when the rum and brandi starts to run. Still, i'm excited to show you Garellia, it's a giant Mess, but it's a fun mess. she said, giggling.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle smiled and pulled Kylie into a hug on the bed, the waves of the sea gently rocking them up and down a bit. "Well, maybe he just wanted to get here faster. Or he was compensating for something, hmhm," Giselle replied, giggling a bit at her own comment as she kissed Kylie. "Heh, I'll bet I could get get ten men to fall faster, though not in death of course. Just by doing... this," she went on to say, quickly yanking her top up so her perky breasts bounced free as she giggled.

"And I wouldn't mind at least one night of a big dinner though. Remember, I can hold my drink a bit better than most," Giselle said about the big dinner/party, sticking her tongue out at Kylie and winking at her. "So... what do you want to do for now? You could take me on a tour of the ship now that we're settled in," she asked curiously, unsure of what to do really.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I suppose. Sorry love, just... A lot to think about. Cmon, I'll show you around Kylie said, rolling up and stretching a bit. Afterwards, suppose we should do some work around the ship. Lord knows it's big enough. She said, grabbing up her gauntlets and sliding them on.

Heading out, she sidestepped a deckhand and then gestured Giselle to follow. Deck's pretty obvious, too big, lotsa people, all the time. Even with Cosimo controlling most of the ship, there's a lot to do, especially up in the rigging. she said, pointing up. There aren't any Hellfire's on the upper deck, those are all below. she said, heading down below deck. From here, there's all the guns, there's a magazine there, plenty of powder, ammo, guns, swords... rum... lotsa rum. she said loudly, because while it was busy up top it was fucking Anarchy down here. The cannons were much larger then they'd looked, the barrels feeding back into a large arcane looking chamber made of brass and steel.

These are interesting. Serena would love these, you see, the canisters they're loaded with, or balls depending. usually canisters, are charged inside the loading chamber before they're fired, and then Boom. Whenever they hit, they explode with their namesake. It's veerrryy pretty. she said, stroking one and yanking back her hand with a yelp, because her body lines had immediately started to glow with the energy. Seemed the loading chambers, which were 6 foot long and made of swirling tubes heavily runed, would charge her to. I like them less now.... No cannon firing for me.. she muttered, leading them on.

There were several more decks, a cargohold, sleeping quarters, hammocks, kitchen. But the interesting thing was the subdeck, very bottom of the ship. It was entirely empty of people, silent as a grave.

Cosimo's violin is unique and powerful all on it's own, I'm not ENTIRELY sure what all it does, but all these runes here... she said, gesturing to several large, deeply burned glyphs on the floor, ceiling, and walls, Amplify it's effect and Cosimo's control. It's how he can get this ship to speed so quickly. This ship's only major weakness would be it's size and low speed... Problem is, it's not slow like it should be while her Captain is on board. she said, grinning maliciously for a moment. I spent a couple years on this ship with Cosimo, the screaming isles are... Terrifying. But I'd love to visit them now that I'm older, stronger. The locals are all goblins. There's no other races there at all. But they're all Blue and have mental powers. Psionics. The dragons there each have an island of their own, and get along pretty well, but the goblins and dragons use eachother to stay comfortable. banshees and sea wraithes are where they get their name though, they haunt the straights between the islands. she said, leaning back against the wall in the shadows.

Hopefully we can meet up with Terra soon, you guys will get along. I love auntie Terra, she's completely batshit, but she's fun. You'll finally get to see me dance. she said, smiling excitedly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"It's alright honey, I'm not upset or anything. I'm just worried about you more than anything is all," Giselle told Kylie, smiling warmly at her as she followed her out to tour the ship. "And I guess I could help cook some, I don't mind doing so after all. Besides, it'll probably be the best cooking they'll have had in a while," she added with a chuckle.

Giselle followed Kylie around and looked all around the deck as they walked around it, and when they went below deck to look at the guns and whatnot, Giselle stared in awe at the arcane things feeding the cannons. "Wow, I didn't think this ship would have magics like this. Delilah would love to see this," Giselle said, looking closer at the thing. "So, it's a... gods what did Hazel call them... a frag... fragmentation, or something like that. Well, whatever they're called, they blow bits of steel and whatever else inside, around and blast big holes in things as well as take down everyone around with the shrapnel," she added, trying to remember the proper wording to use.

After they continued on, with Giselle agreeing to not play with the cannons else risking blowing them all up, they reached the kitchens, and that's where Giselle took the most time looking around at, seeing where everything was and seeing what all food was in there to cook. "Hmm, these are definitely arcane runes. And I could feel the magic in his violin too. And banshees? Bah, fake sirens is all they are. No gentleness in their voices at all," Giselle said after they got to the subdeck, and after Kylie had spoken, throwing her nose up at the mention of banshees. "And I thought you said that you couldn't dance when I asked you to dance with me a while back?" she then asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously at Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I can't... not... with other people. Like in a ballroom. Kylie admitted, blushing again and looking away sheepishly. I can do the sun dance and I danced in the storm temples with the priestesses there... It's different, you'll see. she added, still blushing furiously and looking at her own feet, fiddling with her collar.

But yes, a whole lot of this ship is magic'd. and a whole lot of it isn't. Merrick would kill to get on this ship, see what all had been done. But he can't so Bllleeeeh she added, sticking her tongue out before heading back upwards through the decks.

The kitchens were preeetty small, but well stocked with basics, and the cook himself, an older man with long greying hair and a leg o the peg named Belso smiled at Giselle as she came in. Hey Bel, Ever find that Cat? she asked him, causing him to snort and stick out his... well... he didn't have a tongue anymore, but he still made the motion and then gave Kylie the bird. Take that as a No... she said, hugging the old man, who returned the gesture warmly and smiled at Giselle, waving her over. Bel will show you what all he needs help with if that's really what you're wanting. But the meals run in shifts on the ship, So... it's long work. Kylie said, gesturing for Giselle to follow her up back to the deck proper and into the fresh salt air.

I'll be up there. she said, pointing back up into the rigging. Gotta remind the guys how it's done after all. But for now I'm fine, just let me think on things a little bit love, the work will clear my head. And if there's a storm, since you're a strong swimmer, you should rush Up to the deck, not down, and run standby. If we have an overboard you'd be their best chance of getting back to the ship alive. she added, hugging Giselle tightly and kissing her, before heading up into the rigging and whistling sharply at the other men, who whistled back in turn shrilly to let her know they'd seen her, making a spot where she could get up and start scrambling along the lines checking lines and managing the sails.

It looked both exhausting, and dangerous, but Kylie was who she'd always been, and took to it easily, gracefully bounding between the lines and masts to secure and relieve canvas quickly. There was another round of whistling shortly after and Giselle got to see her launch herself from near the crows nest all the way down to mid mast, snatching a taut line and hurling herself into a tangle, working furiously to fix it, before giving the dread Death whistle, which was returned JUST AS LOUDLY, which was surprising. This was where she'd acquired that particularly nasty sound it seemed, doing this task.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Oooh, well then, I'd love to see it. But, I'll teach you how to really dance. You're a fighter after all, so you're already trained really, therefore it shouldn't take you too long to pick it up," Giselle said, winking at Kylie. "Heh, hell I'd say Merrick has something even more crazy and wacky in his mage tower, wherever that's hidden," she added with a chuckle as she followed Kylie back up to the kitchens.

After watching Kylie hug the old cook, Giselle smiled at him and shook his hand. "Honey, you know how you can create storms and stuff now? Well I can cook up a storm in the kitchen. I've not even shown you what I can really do in the kitchen," Giselle asked Kylie with a smirk.

"Of course, I'm probably the strongest swimmer on the ship right now. Just be sure to have rope ready, the longest one you've got on board, and if someone goes over, I can just dive in after them," Giselle replied with a nod, looking confident in her swimming abilities and kissing her on the lips in return.

With that, Giselle watched as Kylie climbed the rigging, before she sighed softly as she stared up at her. After a few moments, Giselle decided to go and look for Cosimo to tell him that she'd like to help out in the kitchen. "Cosimo, sir, if it's alright with you, I'd like to help out some. I can cook really good, so, I wouldn't mind helping out in the kitchen," Giselle told Cosimo after finding him.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Cosimo was on the deck, chuckling as he watched Kylie zip around in the riggings. For being an adoptive parent, and one Kylie had made seem a little distant, he certainly didn't seem to be so. If anything when Kylie was around she was all he had eyes for. It was touching really in a way, to see that Kylie did have someone that could qualify as real family outside a memory of her parents or the ghost of reginald.

Hrm? Kitchen? Well I suppose if ye want. I mean, it's normally true, everyone lends a hand on a ship but I certainly wasn't going to impose. I do know that we're coming up on one of Kylie's favourite spots here, should be there around midnight or so and you wont want to miss it. he said, giving her permission to do whatever she wanted so long as she wasn't underfoot, and not wanting to ruin the surprise.

She's lucky to have you, ya know. Believe it or not, little miss cranky there didn't have any real friends save one or two in the entire branch. Only Vos, a lycanthrope, well, Okami I suppose who was an outsider like her, and Myria who passed away young. I personally don't want her to leave the island but... She's wanted into those archives since she was a child, ever since she learned she wasn't allowed in there really. Badly enough to steal that little water walking trick of hers from them. She's bright, capable. She's an obvious choice really, but still... I'm worried. What Father isn't. he said, sighing with a slight melancholy up at Kylie before turning to Giselle.

But, you're family now to, you and yours. Great, I have even MORE daughters to worry about. You're gonna turn this old man as grey as Gestalt. he teased, laughing.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I'll be alright Cosimo, sir. I'm a pretty good cook, and I don't need quite as much sleep as a human. Perks of being fey and whatnot," Giselle said with a confident nod. "And... I understand. I'll do my best to make her happy, though... there's definitely going to be a rocky road along the way," she added with a smile.

"Hmhm, you don't have to worry about us Cosimo, sir, Tina's like... really freaking strong, and Delilah's an amazing mage. Honestly, between the three of us, I'm the weakest, though, I'm also the youngest, so that probably has something to do with the fact I'm the weakest," Giselle said, chuckling a bit at Cosimo's words about having more daughters to be worried about. "But anyway though, is there anything special you'd like to have for dinner tonight? I'm an excellent cook, and I love seafood, which I assume you have plenty of," she then asked curiously.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hmm hmm that's why we're going to this spot after all... You'll see. For now? Just help Cookie, he's setting up something Light, because after midnight, we're ALL staying up to feast. Kylie wont have had a hunt like this in almost 8 years... I promise Giselle, you'll see her light up in more ways then 1 now I suppose. And it'll be a meal you'll never forget. he said, his eyes flashing as he licked his lips.

After that he hugged Giselle tightly Take care of her Giselle. Please. He muttered, only for her to hear, before heading further down the deck, shouting orders at Kylie Oi Girl! Yea you! Girl! Get that runner Pinned! he bellowed, Kylie launching herself at the offending object to get it tackled, seeming to greatly enjoy the acrobatics. She'd have been just a child last time she was on this ship. This had to be amazing for her and it was fun watching her scramble around. But she had to go help the cook.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Mmm... she's gone hunting with me before though several times. But, alright, I'm game. And I'll help cook this feast," Giselle replied with a smile.

She returned the hug and kissed Cosimo on the cheek. "I promise I will, don't you worry," Giselle promised him, kissing him again and heading down as she heard him shouting orders to Kylie and others, while she went to the kitchen again.

"I'm back, so where do you need me, Cookie? If you like, I can take over for lunch now, I've cooked plenty of times, so I can do it if you want to take a rest," Giselle asked the cook man, smiling brightly, and not caring to follow his instructions, if he had any, though if he wanted to give her freedom of the kitchen, she would happily take over for him for now.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Heading back down to the kitchens, giselle would find Bel slashing potatos apart with a very small stove burning away at a pan of fish, the potatoes were going in there to make small portions of stew for the crew.

He tossed her a potato and chuckled, sliding a knife to her and held up 4 fingers. 4 more peeled and diced, while he went about filling plates with a couple oranges from a barrel, and small round hard loaves of bread.

Retrieving a chalkboard, he spent several moments clicking away before showing Giselle. midnight feast. I suspect Dervish Tir Fish. Very Dangerous. Little Miss is back though. Should be fun. it read, before he wiped it away and wrote again. Best part is, while we cook the fish, we can eat the eggs raw. They're incredible. So, I know it's boring, but just the basics for now, Can't have the boys workin on full loads. Makes em sluggish. It read, Bel tapping the board with a smile.

More tapping away with the chalk

Tell me about Little Miss' time away from home. Crew has missed her. She was this high last time. it read, Bel holding his hand just at his waist and chuckling.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle happily caught the potato and began peeling it, smiling as she quickly and efficiently peeled it. After that, she got the rest, cutting them up just as quickly and efficiently as the first, and once she had them all done, she brought them over to him and smiled. "Of course Bel, I understand. Here, I can finish these up for you real quick then. And Kylie... well, I met her when my sister Delilah brought her home from the beach that she'd been staying near for a few days. Kylie had shipwrecked that big old ship on the reef near the shore back home. After that, we just... well, kind of got to know each other better, and became lovers. We've gone hunting a few times, saved a lot of people, adopted some little alraune that we rescued from an evil black one. It... it's been a really action filled adventure to say the least, since I met her. I do love her though, and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. So... what was she like when she was younger? She's never really told me much if anything about her life before I met her," Giselle replied when he'd finished writing, trying to tell a bit of their time together while taking over the cooking portion for now so he could write back to her.

"She's really strong too. We used the gold from that ship she was on, to buy her one of those dragonslayer bows... or whatever it was she called it exactly. And she's so fast, can climb... she's just... honestly, really an amazing person. I love her so much too, and I want to be with her always, and couldn't imagine a life without her," Giselle went on to say after a few moments, while he was writing back.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Most people never realize how strong they are in truth. I think you'd be surprised with yourself. Little Miss has always been tough, sharp. But Brittle, I worry because she breaks apart easily. One moment, this is painfully slow. The board read as he headed out of the kitchen only to pull a very large, very muscular bear of a man in with him. At 7 feet tall and almost 350 pounds of slabbed flesh, the man truly could pass as a bear, if not for the white hair, and the silver curling mustache from the 6th dimension of mustaches.

It twitched as he saw Giselle and he smiled. His skin was a deep hard tanned brown and he was dressed in very loose fitting but comfortably looking white cotton pants and a shirt. This is Yrrig. Tell her about Little Miss, I'm having trouble speaking. Sore throat. Bel wrote, showing the board to both of them with Yrrig laughing and slapping Bel's shoulder.

About when she was Little I suppose? We've not seen her in a long while. She's grown up well indeed. He said, Bel nodding while Yrrig extended his hand to Giselle. Very well Met, You are Giss-A-eel? Correct? he asked, having a little trouble getting her name right, but that was primarily due to his accent.

Let me see now. When she was young she was like Bel here. Couldn't speak at all, not a whisper. Cosimo brought her aboard while her Brother, gods watch over him, stayed in Garellia to train. She had a nasty habit of biting anyone who tried to teach her. Gestalt included. He's got a few scars to prove. We used to call her our little wild cat. he said, leaning back and remembering her earlier days.

3 years she stayed at sea with us and Cosimo, and later on near another 2, But for those first 3 I tell you true we were mighty scared of her, and for her. Ye see, having children or women on board a ship at sea, is considered frightful bad luck by many, but Cosimo would have nothing less and so we all did our part. But in truth it wasn't all that necessary. She was a right little hellcat. Because she couldn't talk, she couldn't ask for things ye see, and she didn't like to point or motion unless she was in a very bad mood, or very sad. So she would Steal whatever she wanted, and she got good at it very quickly. Her favourite food is Oranges, I doubt that's changed at all, and each crewman gets a sour fruit a meal, and rations of them along the way. She was not happy with her own ration, so she would swipe ours and because she was so small, she could hide in places we couldn't go, or didn't look. he laughed, snatching up an orange himself and biting into it, rind and all chewing thoughtfully.

It wasn't that she was particularly naughty, or even unfriendly, but very shy, very very shy. And she couldn't swim, and nothing and no one could convince her to go near the water. When a child cries, the world moves to help, but when a child that cannot make sound cries, I tell you it tears at your heart and she would whenever she got near the railings. But she liked to climb. So there was always a little battle going on in Little Miss' head, Do I climb into the rigging and feel the wind, or the Nest and look at the sky, or do I let my fear of the water beat me. We watched that struggle for almost a year when we weren't chasing her about trying to get back little odds and ends, or even just our gods be damned oranges! Until one day Bel offered to give her her very own Barrel FULL of them. I've never seen her so excited Until Bel shoved them off the ship. He was mighty cross with her, she'd pilfered something. It was your chalk wasn't it?

som clicking...
Aye, Took my chalk and started to draw all over the ship. And she was a Talent! they were beautiful but I can't talk to anyone without my damned board! he wrote, shaking his head. Just a child surely but I wanted to teach her true not to touch my board. I need it something terrible or these louts run rampant. he continued before Yrrig picked back up the story.

Without a second thought she dove in after them! We were so stunned that we couldn't react right away, and then before you know it half the crew is overboard and Cosimo is first one in the Drink! Had to drag her AND the barrel back on board because she wouldn't let it go! She looked like a drowned rat, with her long hair all a mess in the water, poor thing meanwhile Bel is trying to swim with his stumpy leg and scratchin his head. he said, trying hard not to laugh at Bel's expense, who was already doubled up with laughter himself anyway, a dry raspy sound that was full of honest affection and mirth at the memory.

From then on we found it easier to Bribe her and soon she was always in the rigging. But we wouldn't let her help, it's dangerous. We lost our choice there too soon enough when a pin broke and lashed about. Knocked her clean off the rigging. Had she not caught the line she'd have hit the deck and well, let us not dwell on the possibility. But she did and it swung her around the mainmast. And then the line snapped tight. She'd wedged herself around to hold it, all of 40 pounds like a little block wedge. She'd cut up her hands something awful but she held that line for all she was worth. Probably saved someone's life. Ye see, when a sail line snaps free, the sail can break loose and shake people down. because she'd locked it down herself around the mast, the others got down and we could get to helpin her. From then on? It's like what she's doin now. Up with the crew, workin hard every day. Proud of herself, and it broke her shy streak. Soon she was... well. she was still a right little imp, but she was a friendly one. he said, smiling, Bel nodding.

What's comin up now though. It's her most infamous moment with this crew. Cuttin her teeth so te speak. Very special to her, and to us. Bel wrote, seeming excited for what was coming.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Hmm... perhaps, and I already promised Cos that I'd do everything in my power to protect her, and it's alright Bel," Giselle said to Bel, watching as the larger man came in.

"Hmhm, it's just Giselle. And yeah... Kylie was like that for a little bit back home. I'm not sure what caused it, but it worried me a bit," Giselle told them both as she continued cooking. "Heh, and she's bit me before... though, not hard, and definitely not to hurt, and no her favorite food is still oranges, gobbles down most of the ones we got at home," she added with a chuckle.

"Well... you needn't worry about her having oranges this time around, because I brought a whole bag of holding full of them, because I knew she'd want some. There's got to be at least a couple of hundred almost in there," Giselle promised them both with a wink. "And I can't wait to see this place is that everyone keeps talking about, and what will be there," she went on to say, looking curious as she finished up getting everything ready and cooking now.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'm alrighty might afeared of how many she eats now. Thank the goddess herself you brought your own! Yrrig answered, laughing loudly before he pulled Giselle in Close.

Has a Sea Sprite such as yerself, ever seeeeeeen a Dervish Tir? Frightful things ye ken, no teeth to speak of at all, but their fins are sharp as knives, and they swallow ye whole, jump right up on the ship to snap up a man. Yrrig muttered, Great things, like sharks with gaping holes for mouths and a tail tipped with a scythe And they only live, in very special places. No one hunts them, no one fishes for them. Cept for this very fleet now we know how. And each new crew member cannot sail further passed this very spot, until they take one for themselves. He continued, waving his hand out in front of Giselle as he spun the tail of the sea monsters.

The eggs are eaten by nobility, 100 gold a hand and the meat itself, if it's fresh... Oooo a kings ransom in the Harbor itself. Every Inn and Tavern around the whole great country wants a taste, royalty and merchant kings storm the port for word when our ships roll in to unload our haul. Pretty sad for pirates to be fishin for a living but eh, we're all getting lazy and when ye don't have to steal your wealth anymore, why bother? he said, his doom and gloom tone changing ubruptly to mild confusion and a Eh attitude about it, shrugging.

Wont be long lady Giselle. Wont be long now at all. A sight you wont want to miss. Bel added with his board, nodding his head but he was smiling about something.

The cooking for first shift and second was done and the men were rolling in, snagging their plates and eating quickly, thanking Bel and Giselle as they returned them which Bel immediately threw into a sink at the back, stomping his stumpy leg as the dishes began cleaning themselves.

There were 6 more shifts, Giselle getting to see literally every man on the ship, including Cosimo who ate the same meals as his men, With his men, and Kylie coming in on the last shift, kissing her cheek as she basically just took a plate and dumped out the bag. She'd found it, tipping 14 oranges onto her plate and cheering at the crew, who all laughed. She sat with the rigging team, laughing and talking, looking as Happy as Giselle had ever seen her, coming back with her bare plate.

Bel's been saying poorly things about me hasn't he. she teased, Bel quick with the board. Yer damned right it be true Hellion! Don't work in here all day Giselle, see the ocean out where there's no land. You should come on up after last shift and look at what we're sailing for. Cosimo already ruined the surprise Bel. We're goin Fishing! she cheered, the crew roaring as she threw up her arms, banging on the tables and laughing
