When lunchtime came around, Maria called a full one hour break for everyone, telling them to get some food. While Kylie watched the others train, she noticed that Sheena and Lysa both were getting better, and Annie was improving quickly under Maria's tutelage as well. It was easy to see that Maria was a good teacher, and that she took a lot of pride that her students were learning as quickly as they were.

"Tomorrow we'll work on your other hand. If you're a duel wielder then you need to learn how to use a blade in either hand and be just as good in your off hand as your main hand. No flashiness needs to be done with swordplay, you're fighting to survive, remember that. By the time these girls have been trained up by me in sword fighting, I expect you to be able to duel with me on equal terms with swords, and none of your fancy tricks that you usually use," Maria told Kylie as they stopped their sparring and she went on to help the others.

When Kylie pulled Mara and Asha aside, the two of them listened, with Mara being a bit more tense than Asha, where they did as told by Kylie and held their arms out. Asha was genuinely curious it seemed, while Mara was just... tense, as if she were a little scared of Kylie now. "Oh, I didn't realize that these were vital spots too," Asha said as she looked at her arms and whatnot that Kylie had marked, touching a couple of the ones on her arms and legs.

With that, the pair went lightly at each other, though Mara clearly had the agility advantage and could dodge better, while Asha's swings came faster than Mara's could and she was able to parry and block quicker than Mara could swing. The two went at it with one another for a couple of minutes before Asha finally got a strike on Mara, directly on the inside of her elbow and ended up winning the first round. The following two wins were Mara's though, who used her faster reflexes and better mobility to slip behind Asha, continuously hitting Asha from behind. Asha got the next one though, finishing it by giving a smack to Mara's back, and then another to her other arm. Mara was obviously not wanting to go with Kylie to get the royal jelly the next time she went to the bee hive, and redoubled her efforts as much as possible, but unfortunately for her, Asha's sword skills proved too good for her in the end and they ended with Asha managing to trip Mara up and go down on top of her as she straddled and held her wooden blade against Mara's throat.

"My win today Mara, and my royal jelly," Asha said before looking over to Kylie.

There's even more. But you can't hit them with a long blade easily. Unless you're using something like a rapier, and even then, you might break the blade. Kylie said, running her fingers along the lines on Mara's arm to show Asha. Major artery to here, major vein here, and the tendon is here. Hit the first two, and your opponent will bleed out if they can't stop it. Hit the tendon and the arm is useless. she said.

The others are mostly around the head and jaw, and several along the spine. A really sneaky one is here. But it will catch whatever blade you use on the bone and it's a slow kill. So you have to give up the knife if you have to use it. she said, poking Asha this time just under her collar bone.

Kylie watched the two girls go at it, Asha making herself the winner, and Mara earning herself a trip to the bee hive. Asha got to be sword winner, Mara got stealth training in the bee hive.

Alright, lets get your honey and then head back. You've both been going at it hard, the walk back to the house and back here will cool you off. Cmon. she told them, enjoying the walk back to get Asha's honey. Once she had it for Asha though, she smiled at the dragonkin and sent her on ahead. Asha nodded as Kylie explained about some of the other weak points that would require either a shorter blade at closer range or something. "I'd rather hit the tendon, that way there's less reason to kill. It also seems to be the best course of action as well, because it could take quite some time for a person to bleed out, and in that time they could have an adrenaline rush and manage to overcome you. So incapacitating their ability to fight seems better overall in my opinion," Asha said with a nod before looking up to Kylie. "But don't think I'm afraid to kill. I just don't like to when there's no need to. But if the situation calls for me to, I would kill anyone that opposes me. If I had to Kylie, I would even fight to kill you, in order to protect Feynrial," she added in a serious tone to let Kylie know that she would do whatever was necessary to protect her home.

After they finished up and headed back to the house to collect the few jars of royal jelly for Asha, who looked quite proud and was smiling happily as she carried the basket that Giselle got for her to use while carrying the half gallon of royal jelly in the four single pint jars that Giselle had fixed it all into from the large buckets. As Kylie hung back a bit with Mara and spoke though, Mara blushed a bit and looked away. "T-That's not it Kylie. It's just that... Hiro promised he'd never tell anyone that. I'm not worried about the bees, because I've been there before, several times. Asha meanwhile headed off with the royal jelly she'd gotten, looking quite happy with her reward. "I'll head back to the temple after I drop these off at home. There's no reason I can't keep training some too. Good luck and be careful," Asha said as Kylie and Mara headed off, waving at them and wishing them luck on their venture to the honey bee hive.

Mara followed Kylie along towards the hive, listening to her speak, only butting in to point at the hunting cabin to grab another three or four buckets to put into Kylie's bag of holding that she had brought with her. "I can understand and respect all that Kylie and all you're doing for us, it's just... I feel betrayed. Hiro knows that I don't like talking about it, but since I doubt he told you I guess I should. I was engaged once, to the man of my dreams... or so I thought. Until I came in and caught him sleeping with another woman. The woman in question just so happened to be my best friend at the time. I trusted her, and him, and they betrayed me. So I'm sorry if I come off as a bitch and stuff, but it's just hard for me to trust people without a good reason anymore. I'd rather them have just left without ever telling me than to come in on them, on our bed of all places. The least that bastard could have done was have some decency about him and gone to her place," Mara said, looking angry, but not nearly as much as Kylie would have thought.

After a few moments, Mara sighed softly and relaxed her body a bit looked over at Kylie. "How about this though. You tell me one of your secrets, something embarrassing, and I may start trusting you a bit more," Mara said, sticking her tongue out at Kylie, looking much more lighthearted than before, seeming to have relaxed around Kylie now that she'd told her about her reasons for not trusting people.

"Bats? Really? Ahahaha!" Mara asked, almost incredulously, laughing even harder after Kylie said clowns too. "Well, I suppose it's not really that silly of a fear. I'm actually kind of scared of roaches myself. It's silly, because I can literally just step on them and kill them. But I just jump onto a table or a chair and eek like a little girl again," Mara went on to say, blushing a bit and punching Kylie lightly on the arm.

When they got to the hive, Mara looked around and whistled softly. "It's gotten bigger since I was last here. That's been about... gods, nearly a year ago now," Mara said softly, looking around to Kylie and nodding as she donned her face rag mask.

As they walked up to the entrance, they saw a guardian greet them just as last time, and it buzzed at them a few times before it allowed them entry. Walking inside, Mara looked at Kylie and smirked. "So um, how did you end up with the royal jelly anyway?" Mara asked quietly.
