Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Oh I remember my promise, but walkies don't have to be early in the morning of course. We can do those anytime," Giselle said, winking at Kylie.

"You needn't get three, though that would provide us plenty of bacon and ham. But we can make do with just one bigger one if you can find one. Even with the magic freezer thingy some of it might go bad," Tina chuckled, though Kylie knew that Tina would be impressed if she came back with more than just one boar.

Before Kylie left once Kate was done, with Giselle taking the baby, Giselle caught Kylie's wrist and pulled her back around and into a deep kiss. "Be careful out there hon," Giselle said, smiling as Kate cackled happily at watching them kiss.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie leaned into the kiss before smooching Kate too and shouldering her shooty thing and the pointy flyey things that went with it along with the shorter slashy things and the punchy stabby things. AND THEN SHE WAS OFF!

For about 3 feet. She was still naked. Heading back inside, Kylie put on her leathers, and then kissed Giselle again, and then kate again, And THEN THEN SHE WAS OFF!

She decided to just get right to it, heading straight out into the jungle and turning towards the river as she climbed a tree, heading for the water this early in the morning as she moved from limb to limb quickly and quietly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Wild boar are pretty damn common on the island, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one. Just look for tracks like that of a pig. And some of them like to grind their tusks on trees, so look for some with the bark missing too in small lines about the size of a boar tusk," Tina called after Kylie when she was finally on her way out after giving a last kiss to Giselle and Kate, both of whom smiled as Giselle waved bye to Kylie and waved Kate's little hand too a few times to be cute and whatnot.

Out and on her way to the jungle, Kylie quickly found her path she liked towards the river and was quickly able to climb the tree she found to get a good view, spotting the river nearby and the alraune village not too very far away as well. They would just be waking up she knew, though maybe they could help her out a little bit if she couldn't find a boar quickly. From the tree top, she could see several smaller creatures of the jungle and birds mostly, though she did see a small panther that looked quite young stalking about, though obviously not for her, and from the looks of it possibly a larger bird she spotted on the ground picking at bugs most likely.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Panther, ok, no pig here. Time to move on, Moving through the trees to avoid spooking anything, Kylie would look down at the trunks ahead of her looking for score marks, so they were a bit like deer then with the tusks. Antlers scored trees as well. it'd make things simpler. But basic logic said if a predator was nearby, something like a boar with a good nose wouldn't be. So she moved further up the river. Nothing else to do really.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Heading a little further upriver, Kylie started to see some markings on the trees, in the way Tina described as well. Looking around after climbing down, she spotted prints on the ground too, leading upstream a bit further, and the trail looked fresh.

On the far east bank of the river as she went upstream a bit, Kylie spotted a few alraune fishing from the looks of it, with six in total, three reds, two greens, and a pink. Two of the reds were keeping a watch out for trouble just in case while all the rest handled the fishing itself. When they spotted Kylie who was obviously hunting from the way she was dressed, they waved across at her in greeting.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Again her way forward was pretty simple. Follow the trail. Dropping to the ground only to inspect the markings and the trail after, it headed along the river and wasn't hard to follow in all fairness, Kylie doing so again back in the trees, porting when she couldn't simply move or jump. She had piggeh to find and Muuuurder. For the bacon. She waved back at the Alraune, but immediately went back to baconhunting.

This would be a lot easier if it was just a big sack of bacon, and not like, a 1000 pound super pig with giant super teeth on it's face or anything.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

After waving back to the alraune, Kylie saw one of them pointing upriver a bit at something. When she looked into the water she saw what looked like a big log drifting, but after a closer look she saw it was a crocodile, a much smaller one than the big bastard from the other day. After heading onward however, she found the prints traveled away from the river a bit, and to a small pond that the river branched off to.

Then, she saw it, the boar. It wasn't huge by any means, like the croc from the other day at least. But it was fairly big and probably a good hundred pounds or so if not more. She saw it was drinking from the little pond and wasn't really looking at its surroundings, giving her the perfect element of surprise on it. She remembered that with a boar, the main thing was that its heart had bone around it and either needed to be punched through all brute force style, or something thin needed to slip through to hit its heart.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

She'd have worried if her bow wasn't made of reinforced metal along with her arrows that could cut fucking logs. Bone wasn't much of an issue. Wood bow? wood arrows? Sure. She'd worry. Not today. There was no kill like overkill.

Drawing back, she breathed in, held her breath, and fired, another arrow snapped out of her quiver to the bow and fired swiftly after just in case. She hated chasing things.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie's first arrow whizzed through the air almost silently, striking her mark and embedding itself in the boar's chest. The second arrow, though not needed at that point, struck a mere two inches up from the first, crushing what was left of the bone surrounding the heart. The boar lie dead on the ground, and Kylie stood victoriously from her firing spot.

Moving over to the boar, she saw her arrows were pretty deeply embedded inside of it, though with a few tugs and a little cut from one of her knives, she got them out to clean off, though the head on the first one looked a little dinged, from the impact on the bone most likely. Kylie knew how to clean her kill, though she probably would want to take the carcass back to town and get it properly cleaned and cut there, however the house was closer if only a little bit.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

What was the point of a house if you weren't ever gonna fucking use it. GEEZE!

She seemed to say with her eyes and a slight snort.

Damned bacon, being all alive before she killed it. Normally she'd be more reverant of nature, but this was just bacon. It didn't get consideration beyond being fried in a pan. Packing the wound so she didn't get blood everywhere, Kylie picked the boar up and proceeded to head back. She had bacon, she had been triumphant. Today was Bacon day.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The walk back was a bit... difficult at times, to say the least. Mainly as the boar was a bit heavy and she found that carrying over 100 pounds of pure meat and fat, and dead weight, was no easy task. Eventually though after about half an hour to an hour, she was laying the carcass down onto the backyard lawn near the tower she had constructed.

Kylie saw Maria sitting up at the very tip top of the tower, meditating with the wind blowing through her hair, and looking quite peaceful to say the least. She was able to find Mara after a minute or two though, with her being inside and moving stuff around in the freezer part of the pantry so they would have room for the meats that Kylie was bringing, and whatever Giselle and Tina would bring too.

"Oh hey Kylie. Gosh you look a little winded. What happened?" Mara said, having apparently not been told where Kylie had gone and merely told to move stuff around to make room for more meat.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie was tempted to drain a tree to make this easier, but considered that would be a bad idea, and then wondered why she hadn't just fucking drained the boar! Holy fucking shit why hadn't she fucking done that?! HOW MUCH EASI... ok, it wouldn't have been any easier. But... reasons.

Getting it back to the house, which of course was harder then getting out here to it in the first place, something to do with about a hundred pound of Oink, Kylie left Maria alone, and found Mara. Went hunting, got us some Bacon. she said, smiling. Who else could go out hunting and be back in less then 3 hours with a fucking boar? No one that was fucking who.

So, i'm gonna get something to drink, and the figure out if I should clean it here, or just let a butcher do it for us... Thinking the latter. she said, drinking what else, but more coffee.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well nothing wrong with bacon. Need some help cleaning the thing? I can help if you want," Mara replied, perking up a bit. "Although if you need help moving it to the butcher then I can get us a cart ready for it instead," she added.

Either way, Kylie would get her drink while Mara got ready to do whichever thought Kylie decided on, and once she was ready to continue, Mara would be there to help her do it. Before she left to do either, Kylie also noticed that Kate was nowhere to be seen, and if she asked Mara, then the dark elf would tell her Giselle and Tina took Kate into town with them.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'm really good with a knife Mara, but I don't know piggy well enough. Let's get the fucker to a butcher to properly dice it up for us. Lord knows I don't need to be covered in blood after staying mainly clean the whole way back. Kylie answered swiftly enough, before finding out Kate had also gone to the market, which was fine.

From there it was just her now unnaturaly strong glowey ass hauling the cart to the butcher humming happily to herself while Mara and Maria were free to do Whatever the fuck they pleased. Maria seemed more then happy meditating at the top of her tower, which was awesome, and Mara just seemed happy in general to be part of their family and know she was loved. And how easy it had been to get that acceptance. Again, Awesome. But for now she had to get this fucking oinker to a knife man to turn it into something edible beyond Spitroasted Boar.

So she did, and she didn't mince words with the butcher, just paid the man to slash it all into edible meat paid for in silver, and to be delivered to the house when he was done with it, before heading to pick up her new ordered arrows, armor piercing (And Bone piercing) bodkin arrows as well to refill her quiver. She simply gave him the dented one as reusable steel and with a now full quiver at her disposal, including an option for scale, bone, or flat out platemail, she felt much better, the weight reassuring on her back. From there it was to the temple to see to her underlings training.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Aye, I'll help you load it up and get it there. I got nothing better to do for the next half hour or so, which was when everyone was supposed to meet up at the temple for Miu's training session," Mara said with a smile.

Mara did just as she said and helped Kylie get the thing to the butcher, who let out a soft whistle and looked quite impressed as he got out to look at the thing when they got there. "I'll have it done as soon as possible ladies," the butcher told them, with Mara helping him get the thing inside while Kylie went to the blacksmith.

"Hey there Kylie, got your arrows all ready," the blacksmith called out to her when she came in, setting a small case onto the counter with all of them in it. "Oh just bring me any of your messed up ones and I'll melt them back down and remake them into new ones for you," he added with a smile, seeming to enjoy working on Kylie's arrows and other contraptions.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Grateful for the help and chuckling at the butcher's whistle, Kylie waved at Mara. I'll see you at the temple then. she said simply before going to pick up her arrows. Hearing what she had, she nodded when he said he'd remake her damaged arrows.

You are just a treat. And yeah, I make some big orders I know, all the wooden arrows were for archery lessons at the temple for a small group. That's why that was so large. As for these? What can I say.... some stuff on this island needs shooting. she said, shrugging as she got the arrows set up in the quiver to her liking, and closed the case, taking it with her.

Could never have enough cases.

From there?! THERE!??! it was time to go to the temple to watch the others run, and see if they were ready for more training or needed to keep increasing their speed. She just Hoped Miu wasn't running them to death.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Mara nodded to Kylie and headed over to help the butcher get the big old piggy into the butcher's shop. "Aye I figured they were for practice and stuff," the blacksmith replied as he took the damaged arrows.

Before leaving the blacksmith, he told her he had a gift for her, which turned out to be amazingly enough, a mythril dagger with a curved blade such as an elven blacksmith might make. "I ordered some mythril and have been practicing with it, and have improved the forge some too with materials from Tear Cove. What with all the money I've been making from you and stuff. This is my first mythril work, and I thought that it would make a nice gift for you, lass," he told her with a proud look in his eyes. "Just don't expect any miracle work with mythril from me just yet though. For anything incredibly difficult, you'll still probably need to go see Oren about it in Tear Cove. And he's the one I ordered this stuff from by the way," he went on to say.

After leaving the blacksmith's, Kylie found that Miu was running the girls around the temple grounds now, and not just the temple. Though they were just jogging at the moment thankfully, and she wasn't running them ragged at least from the looks of it, and Mara had arrived too it seemed. "Hey Kylie, why don't you join us. I'm taking them on a jog around the whole grounds, not just the temple yard itself. It's a good mile jog altogether and will get their blood a pumping," Miu said with a grin as she greeted Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie accepted the dagger and tested the balance. The blacksmith certainly had his basics down, and that was what was important. The dagger was well made and she liked the curve. She could certainly think of some good ways to put it to use as well. Well done. Do me a favor though, mail Oren and remind him he has to make a decision to be in my employ or not. I think it'll be no, but what have you I still need an answer from him. she said, sliding the dagger into it's sheath and setting it up on the back of her belt.

Heading on out, she made it to the temple and smiled seeing everyone, waving at Miu in greeting before shaking her head. Just finished a hunt, my blood's already pumping. I'm gonna pester Yuki about some more sparring. When you guys are done with the jog then they can get some more specialized training in. High stakes hide and seek I think miu. Kylie said, jogging alongside to deliver the message and hoping she heard a few nervous groans before peeling off to find punchy priest for punchykungfufighting.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Alrighty, I'll send him a message," the blacksmith replied, nodding as he let Kylie be on her way.

After arriving and chatting with Miu while the girls were jogging, the neko priestess nodded and looked to the others. "Alright girls, soon as we're done here we're gonna play some hide and seek. Some real hide and seek," Miu told everyone as they continued onward, a couple of unsure looks from both Annie and Sheena.

Kylie found Yuki not too long after, tending the gardens of the temple. "Ah Kylie, how are you? Good I hope," Yuki asked when she saw Kylie approaching, raising up to look over to Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'm doing great actually. But you see? I need to be too tired to resist what I made Giselle promise she'd do. So I thought my Hand to hand could use some more work. I'm better then with a sword, but I could be better. And I'd really like to have an opponent push me to my limits. So... I'd like to spar without your amulet. she said, smiling happily and removing her weapons, all of them, gauntlets included, and setting them aside.

I'm sure you'd also like to get a real match in. So by all means, wear me out so I can't get cold feet later. she said, still smiling gently. She liked yuki quite a bit. But it was more that she admired her character rather then she wanted that ass.
