This is a special glove I made out of lead lining with the refined stomach of a Rust Monster as an arcane and electricity insulator," Merrick said after a few moments, showing off the glove as he lifted up the arcane vault that Kylie had closed back up and took it back inside.

"Well of course it has lots of power, I built the damned thing after all. I'd be ashamed if it didn't have lots of power. And the other thing I mentioned, about the weather stuff, it might be more easily controlled as you grow and learn more about your powers. Hell, it might even be completely controlled altogether to the point that unless you really try, you won't change the weather any at all," Merrick replied, looking Kylie over after setting the arcane vault back inside in its proper place. "I could show you a few things, but I'm no sorcerer. However, Hazel knows plenty, and also, I know another elf that is a sorcerer that could help you out. She lives on Alighieri, one of the Netherworld islands, the one furthest to the north of the main nine actually," he went on to say.

"Well either way, please don't risk blowing my arcane vault up, because I like living, and being able to enchant things, because my abilities aren't nearly as good as other enchanters," Serena said.

"Well, wizardry and sorcery are two different styles of magic. Sorcery is using your inner arcane magics, blood magic if you would in many cases, though not all. While Wizardry is basically using all of the arcane energies around you, in the air, the earth, or what have you. That's one reason why sorcery is so chaotic, and wizardry is not. Though both have their dangers of course, obviously," Merrick said when Kylie finished talking.

"Aye, I am. Merrick's a good teacher, and as I use the same kind of magics he does, it's easier to learn from him, than from lady Hazel," Serena replied to Kylie's question.

"I know that Kylie, and that's one of the odd things about your magical powers. It's as if you have, yet don't have them at the same time. It's hard to tell really. I'll need to study you a little more before I'm sure what to really label you as, in terms of like... magics and stuff at least. But, if I'm correct in what I'm thinking, then it may even be possible to literally enchant you yourself. Although, that may be a long shot at best," Merrick said, staring at Kylie for a few moments as if pondering how he might be able to do just that.

Serena blushed, while Merrick chuckled a bit at Kylie's words. "I'll do my best. But like I was saying, don't get your hopes up too much okay, because there's no guarantee that it'd work," Merrick said, glancing over at Serena, who shook her head a bit to try and shake the blush away.
