Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"You won't, I know you," Kaal told Kylie with a smile, before shifting to dragon form again and letting her mount up.

Once he was in the air, Kaal followed Kylie's directions, and looked over his shoulder at her after a couple of miles along the trail. "The lamia village I mentioned is about thirty to forty miles northwest of here. I ought to be able to reach it in about four hours, give or take, maybe less if I rush. It looks about two hours before noon now, so give it till about two o'clock before we get there, round about," Kaal told Kylie as they flew.

The faint trail she'd been shown was still present, and easy to follow for the moment. The lower to the ground they flew, the better she felt it and recognized it enough to tell Kaal which way to go. After an hour of flying, they came to the river that ran down to make the waterfall in front of his cave, where Kylie felt the energy signature went into the water, and subsequently vanished for the moment, from her senses. Kaal seemed to sense that something was wrong, and stopped over the river. "What's the matter?" he asked a moment after stopping.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kaal there's no telling how well they fared without anyone to back them up. Kylie sighed sadly as they followed the trail until it dipped underwater and stopped. sweep in just above the trees and I'll drop I need to check something. Get back up in the air though this might be a trap. Kylie told him, waiting for him to pass by as she dropped into a tree and waited for.... anything...

If everything turned out to be fine, she'd launch herself into the water, looking for the trail.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Alright, be careful, and scream if you need me. I'll take a look around just above the treeline," Kaal said, maneuvering around for Kylie to jump down so she wouldn't hurt herself.

Dropping down into one of the taller trees, Kylie saw Kaal swoop on through, soaring carefully, his head swinging back and forth to look in all directions. It was quiet, all things considered, maybe a little too quiet, Kylie probably thought. Nothing seemed to be ready to attack them at the moment though, and she knew Kaal could hold his own against most things up here. Once in the water, after jumping in, Kylie very faintly picked the trail back up again, and it followed the river, northward, from their position. The river was only about fifty feet deep in this area, so even at the bottom of it, she was still getting plenty of sunlight to see by.

If she followed the trail northward along the river's bottom, Kylie found the trail continued along the river, using it to mask the trail to all but the most attuned to energies of all kinds, such as Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Sneaky fuck. Kylie muttered, coming back out of the river. If it diverted from the river it would reveal itself again and for now it traced the river plainly north.

Porting back up onto Kaal as he passed, she patted his shoulder. Just follow the river for now. I'll let you know if it breaks off but he's thinking ahead. We should be careful. Kylie said, keeping the rifle slung across her back while she set her bow up.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As Kylie surfaced, she saw Kaal dive down towards her position, and he lifted back up when he felt her weight on his back again. "He is a demon after all, likely a smarter, more powerful one. I'd be surprised if he didn't think ahead," Kaal replied softly, going back up into the air, just above the treeline.

Following the river northward, the pair made their way for nearly an hour or more, before it suddenly jumped back onto land again, striking due west from their position now. As soon as Kylie nudged him, Kaal veered left and turned them to the west. "How much further do you think, Kylie?" Kaal asked curiously.

About 5 minutes after they turned west, Kylie felt Kaal tilt right so fast she nearly fell off his back, as an arcane bolt of something flew past them. "Whoa there!" Kaal cried out. "You see where that came from, Kylie?" Kaal asked, narrowing his eyes and not stopping, as he used his tail to pull her back up on his back properly, and swerving around a bit to keep from being an easy target.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie stayed quiet while they followed the River and then they steered off almost straight due west. Kaal asked his question to which Kylie didn't really have an answer. Honestly I don't know. she said before the dragon tilted hard and veered out of the way of a bolt that shrieked passed them.

Not a fucking clue but they'll regret it if they do it again. Kylie hissed, drawing 5 arrows, one knocked to her string, one between her teeth and the other 3 clutched tight to the bow, standing up on Kaal and using her balance to stay atop him, ready to literally skydrop out on the poor motherfucker if he shot at them again. I DO IN YOU FOLLOW UP! She roared passed the steel in her mouth, hair billowing around behind her wildly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"They're gonna regret it anyway," Kaal growled angrily.

Another bolt flew out of the trees a moment later, and Kylie had a target, as Kaal dodged the bolt. As soon as Kylie fired her arrow, another bolt came out. Diving off of Kaal's back, at the second bolt, and stringing the next arrow or arrows, Kylie heard the whooshing of Kaal's wings, as she went skydiving. Multiple bolts fired up at Kylie, but since she was falling so fast, they couldn't strike her.

Looking around quickly, Kylie saw 4 figures in the trees, and she had 4 arrows left to fire. The figures were all rearing back, readying themselves to fire again at her and Kaal.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As she fired, she simply leaned away from Kaal as he moved again, sliding off his back and falling cleanly while more bolts tracked her in the air, whistling by her while she spotted 4 enemies. SHE HAD CHOSEN AN AMAZINGLY CONVENIENT NUMBER OF ARROWS FOR THIS!

Using the time she had in the air, Kylie started firing back, giving the fuckers something to think about as steel shafts with wide heads screamed off of her bow towards them, Kylie firing all 4 before spinning in the air to spot Kaal, and then landing on his back after a short port, holding on while Kaal did what he was going to do.

GONNA KILL HIM! GONNA KILL HIM TILL HE DIES TO DEATH! she shrieked, more and more pissed off by the moment.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie's arrows soared from her bow and struck two of them, in the chest, with the third getting pinned by his or her foot. The fourth one just managed to dodge, falling back on their ass, before scrambling away. Kaal went after the one that was running. "Get the fleeing one, Kylie. I'll deal with the other," Kaal told Kylie, though if Kylie told him no, he wouldn't split up.

If Kylie went down after the fourth figure, whether she went had Kaal keep with her or not, she found that whoever it was, was fast, very fast.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Let him run! We can't afford to split up, we're the only ones out here! Kylie called, staying with Kaal wherever He went but the little fuckers were fast. As they passed she shot the pinned creature again just to be thorough, sticking to Kaal's back as they went. She hadn't lost the trail yet, the source was still further off.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Alright, let's get the running one," Kaal called to Kylie, with the pinned one getting taken down by a quick shot from her and a blast of Kaal's acidic breath from him.

Kaal swooped in between the trees, bobbing and weaving around, to catch up to the last one that had attacked them, and soon they were within close enough distance for Kylie to port off Kaal's back and onto the bastard, or bitch... whatever it was, Kylie didn't know yet, as it was a robed figure.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie grinned a little wider each moment Kaal got closer to the running... thing. It was a robe as far as she knew. She was gonna kick that robes ass. Rolling her neck and sighing as the bones cracked beautifully, Kylie waited until he was close enough to get a good teleport in. And as soon as it happened, she threw herself to her hands and started a sweep kick before she teleported, the kick already in motion and almost impossible to dodge as she just appeared in front of him/her/it before going into a vicious series of palm strikes, filling the creature full of holes from her blades and broken bones from her palms.

Once it was done she was back with her dragon because damnit they had other shit to do.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As they continued to chase the robed figure, Kylie saw the flash of something from under the robe, that resembled a tail. Kaal caught up to the robed figure moments later, and Kylie flung herself forward as Kaal gave her a good toss, before porting in, and catching the robed figure's legs, tripping them up. Kylie heard a female voice yelp as this happened, before the 4 foot long scaled tail swung about before Kylie could stab the person the tail belonged to, and swat her in the face, knocking her away.

The robes flew off right into Kylie's face, and once she had either ported around them, or cut them in half, she would see that it was... a rather pretty girl, a dragony one, with greenish scales on the borders of her hairline, some on her neck; upper arms, and the back of her neck. She also had some around her greenish tail, where the scales wrapped around to her hips a bit, before going down her legs to her ankles. The girl looked... rather terrified, to say the least, as she scrambled away from Kylie.

"I didn't do it because I wanted to!" she cried as she tried to run again.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

THEN WHY DID YOU FUCKING DO IT HUH!? Kylie cried, not about to be caught off guard by a fucking tail again as she rubbed the spot on her face and scrambled after her, porting again and launching herself around the dragon woman's shoulders, sinking in a hard hold around her neck while she wrapped her legs around her waist and held on for dear life, choking her out. She was in no mood for this bullshittery, she was on a hunt, this bitch could answer her fucking questions mid flight.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I didn't have a choice! It was refuse, and have my mother kill me, or do it, and probably have you and him kill me!" the girl cried back, trying to scramble away.

Kylie was able to port around and latch onto the girl's neck, choking her down and out, before the girl could do much more than cough, and thrash around a bit, her tail swishing around before she was out cold. Kaal landed and sneered as he shifted form to his humanoid one. "That's one of Feykro-Vith's wyrmlings. She might be useful. Bring her along. I'm curious as to why she said what she did. I doubt that she's... being honest, but stranger things have happened recently," Kaal said, looking curiously down at the unconscious dragonling.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie turned her head as Kaal landed and the look in her eyes would make even the dragon shudder. He knew full well she'd have the truth even if she broke their captive doing it.

So the fucking dragon was in on it to. She was going to skin the bitch when she found her and wear her hide as new armor. For now she just had this little dragonthing to drag around. Porting her and the captive up onto Kaal's back, she used her cuffs to bind her firmly and waited for her to wake up as they resumed tracking the trail to this Wither... Wi... Target! THAT WAS THE ONLY FUCKING NAME HE DESERVED BECAUSE SHE WAS GOING TO RIP OUT HIS FUCKING SPINE AND BEAT HIM TO DEATH WITH IT! AND THEN RESSURECT HIM SO SHE COULD MURDER HIM AGAIN FUCK SHE WAS ANGRY!

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I want Vith's heart, Kylie. You may have the rest," Kaal said, seeming to get what Kylie was thinking, or something close to it anyway. "Gag her too, don't want her spewing her poisoned breath out at us," Kaal suggested.

"Which way? Back to the river, and to the trail?" Kaal asked, already heading in that direction, so Kylie could get the trail picked back up.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

... Not immediately, let's find a large enough tree, I want some answers first. Don't want to barrel into this demon summoning Fuck AND her mother at the same time. I need to know what's going on. Kylie finally decided, Very angry about the need to stop. This... green scaly woman had to come first.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I see a hill over there, Kylie. Let us head over that way and find a spot to set down for now," Kaal suggested, heading over to the hill he pointed them towards.

Once they stopped, Kaal set down and knelt down so Kylie could hop down, with the wyrmling girl. Kaal shifted form to his humanoid one, as Kylie set the wyrmling down, and crossed his arms, placing his foot on her tail, to hold her down, as Kylie woke her up. "You want to wake her up? Or rest a bit?" Kaal asked, not seeming to care what Kylie decided to do.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

setting down, Kylie gagged the girl before sitting on her and seeming really pissed off. I'd be happy to burn the world until it learned it's lesson and fucked off. Kylie muttered, starting to slap the girl lightly to bring her back around. HEY! Thing that may or may not be dead yet. Wake the fuck up. she said, glaring down at her.
