Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)
"Heh, and you look as lovely as ever, lady Kalt," Tidecaller replied with a slight bow of his snaky head.
"Alright then, let's go. She dies, unless she's already gone, which is very likely," Giselle said, looking around the third floor, as Sheena, Mara, Lysa, and Asha, along with everyone else, began peeking down the stairs around the corner, looking more than a little scared of Kalt.
...
"I do recognize her, actually. She was... almost inseparable from Emerald when I was there. Her and Ilia both, actually. I'm... incredibly surprised that she saved you, to be honest," Amara said softly, as she worked. "AYA... BOTH OF YOU, GET OUT HERE NOW!" Amara then called out, where Kylie saw both Aya's rushing out, where they helped do what Amara told them to do, while Kylie rushed off back to the house with Seraphina, who was hugging Kylie from behind this time, and using Kylie to steady herself.
"Holy shit you're amazing. Multi stage teleporting? Ugh, I'm so envious," Seraphina said as she clung to Kylie on the way back.
When they returned to the house a couple of minutes later, Bob caught Kylie almost like a princess and bounced her a couple of times, and did the same to Seraphina, seemingly enjoying the newcomer, who flopped into his tentacles happily and giggled as Bob rose up out of the pool for the first time that Kylie had seen him do so, in a good month or more, looking truly fully grown now and like he was ready for a fight, as more things kept being flung through the portal, and giving Kylie a look that basically said. "So what can I do to help?"
...
Back in sanctuary however, Calista saw that the others there that hadn't seemed to have made up their minds yet, were fidgeting a bit, and shuffling their feet. "I don't think they have anywhere else to go, Calista. Many of them have been here for so long, that they simply just don't know where they could go anymore. Same with me, honestly," Nanaya said softly to the demoness.
"If it's all the same to you, we've been talking it over, and... we'd be alright with making a new life on the other side of that portal there," Lelia said, standing up and speaking for the rest, with an arm around Orianna.
Once they had settled everything, Calista was able to see everyone through the portal that was going, which seemed to be most of them there, and after a couple of more minutes, they saw Sheena and the others coming in, with a small horde of about a hundred people, with Sheena sitting atop the shoulders of two of those fallen angels still. Nanaya looked curiously at them, as did Ganesha, before glancing at each other, then to Calista, then back to Sheena, and smirking. "They like to tickle me... we became friends. They said so long as I let them tickle me every once in a while, they'd come with us and help fight Emerald. Said I was their new favorite to tickle," Sheena said, blushing a bit, but looking thankful that they had decided to do so.
"Well my sweet demon. I have everything to bring with us wrapped up and ready to go. I've got the little eggs too, so we can send them elsewhere, at your discretion," Vara said, winking at Calista, who saw that Vara had the makings of the other two spider silk outfits that she'd requested as well. "Do you still want me to finish them? Seems a waste to just abandon them," she asked softly.
...
Upstairs, Giselle had found her way with Kalt in tow, into the trainer's quarters area of the sanctuary, and the few trainers that hadn't either already fled, or left prior to Emerald's return, scrambled away from the two as fast as they could. Kalt and Giselle both spotted a small bloodstain on the wall, where Giselle wiped her fingers across it and smelled it, before Tidecaller looked it over. "It's hers. She's been through here," Tidecaller hissed softly.
"Then this way is the way we're going. How should we kill her? Or... maybe better yet... imprison her again, something that'll terrify her more than death ever could. Lock her in an eternal seal and sink her to the bottom of the astral sea. Death seems... almost an escape for one such as her," Giselle mused as they walked, looking more angry than Tidecaller or Kalt, had ever seen her before... well, through Kylie's eyes, in Kalt's case, for the most part, not including the Garrellia incident. "What do you think? Not that I don't want to kill her. But I want her to suffer, after making Kylie suffer," Giselle asked Kalt curiously.
"It's up to the two of you. I say kill the bitch though, personally," Tidecaller said, moving about as if to shrug.
After a couple of minutes of moving along through the corridors, the pair came across a pair of lifts in a wide vertical corridor. Giselle looked to Kalt, and climbed on and pulled the lever, the magical energies flowing through the place pulling it upwards. Looking around as they got to the top, they saw the blood trail continuing onward through another hallway, that led into Emerald's bedroom. Inside they saw Emerald standing there with her scythe in hand, staring out the windows of her bedchambers, all of the curtains now wide open. "So it's come to this," Emerald muttered softly.
