Surprisingly the soft support wrap braces are not. Those are actually quite comfy.

Depends on the detergent and treatment you use for the possible stain and how quickly you wash it after the fact.

No detergent restrictions really except no bleach. However, the brace is handwash only because it is partially made of foam and that makes it slightly more delicate to the spin cycle of a washer.
