Had the same problem. Probably your winrar isnt up to date. I just downloaded and installed the newest version of winrar and it worked fine.

Yes, most likely... That's why I mentioned it's compressed using RAR5: it's the name of new RAR format introduced in RAR v5.0.

It was compressed using the newer Winrar compression known as rar5 (like others have said). You can download the latest Winrar 5.21 (or something) to extract it, if you use the 7-zip like a lot of us do you can try there newer alphas or betas that have the new compression in them. but those would be your options.

I have the newest version of 7zip and sadly it can't open this file. I'm on the fence about installing winrar for a single partial translation. Would you say your translation is amazing and it will change my life and solve all my problems?

Hey dudes.
Thanks to the help of Elseria who provided me his abandoned translation work, I finished the city of Shiloh, and... everyting until Serah, I think.

So here is an update of the WIP translation, this time in ZIP format (Am I the only one being nostalgic of the 80s at this point?)

If you encounter a dialog I missed, or any translation issue, please tell me!

Damn it, I already found 2 dialogs I missed in Shiloh...
The traveller next to the North exit and the pike/shield merchant in the center-south of the city... it'll be fixed in the next WIP, sorry guys.

Hi guys

And here comes another WIP translation patch for Marionette Fantasy.
I fixed the couple of dialogs I missed in Shiloh, and made some progress in Serah. For this town, the following parts should be done now:
- All the event in the main city map
- The Inn
- The Library
- The Public Hall
- The Weapon Shop
- The Tool Shop
- The Bathhouse
- The Maid Café (except the sex scene)
- The Restaurant
- The Hospital
- The Apartments

As usual, comments or test results are more than welcome.

Hey guys

In my next weekly update, the game will be completable in English,
except a monologue of Satan (I absolutely don't understand what the fuck
he's talking about during 3 pages).

Well, at least 1 (good-ish, but not the best afaik) ending is currently fully translated.

In short... Now (ok, in 2 days...) I really need proofreaders!

Here comes another WIP patch.
This one is pretty exciting, because it's possible to play the whole game in English with only some sentences missing, in very rare places. If I'm counting well, I only have 5 blocks of texts to do, for a total of 8 sentences. As you may guess, this is not a blocker to play the game, and those sentences are really weird which explains I'm taking some time to come with something decent for those.

I also have translated the Gallery Mode, and added a character in it to display the translation credits.

So as I was telling in my previous post... I now need proofreaders.


Here are the contexts of the missing texts: (spoiler alert!)
- The dialog with the old man in the basement of the destroyed Inn near the temple
- The dialog with Satan
- The dialog with the lumberjack near the Lost temple
- The dialog in the Inn after the city is restored

If you find texts in Japanese in another context, please tell me.
If you find typos, translation errors, whatever... tell me too.

Any feedback is welcome, as usual. I'd like next patch to be as final as possible...
I'd also like to know if users prefer to keep the version in this state, or if there's a demand to add the scenes added by X-Calibar in the first town.
I could add them using extra flags, which wouldn't break the game.
