As Teeu and the scout charge down the hill, they can see the skirmish kicks up with Seihydra's entry. The vines from the roses continue to whip and lash about, as the blades from the exalted flash in the morning sun.

Seihydra's lighting strides quickly bring her to assist Elyna. She leaps easily over the violent thorned vines, and swiftly brings her scythe into a graceful glide, slicing a nice cut into the massive rose, lopping off a leaf and a couple of petals. Elyna her self swings manages to barely scratch the flower's waxing coating., Deflect several vines aiming for her body seams to be a bit distracting. But despite their vicious assault, the animate plants are no match for the agile warriors, one losing more foliage to another pair of successful attacks from Seihydra. Elyna's hands strains as she over swings, but manages to keep a grip of Loving Gail to make several gashes in the stem of her target..

Belisera turns her steed and faces the last Shambler. As if to compensate for almost falling off Avitus, she impales her lance directly through the Zombie's heart with enough force to cause it's head to pop off with a nearly comical *Fwump!*. Continuing through with her momentum, she pushes her lance through the corpse, ripping right through and splitting it in two, in one smooth swift motion.

Encouraged by Siehydra's relative success and seeing the gashes from her own strikes, Elyna continues to strike at the stem of the flower. Stubbornly clinging to her original plan, she would at least continue to draw the attention of the vines and create an opening for Siehydra. Elyna's swings become more short and controlled as she narrows her focus to slicing through the already weakened part of the stem.

Bellisera gave a shout of exhaultation as the lance ripped the creature in two. She felt most alive when she was in battle, it was what she was born for. Raising her visor, she took stock of the situation. The other two were still hacking away at one of the flowers, but it was tough and refused to go down. Bellisera was satisfied with her part in the fight. Two shamblers had been dispatched by her and Avitus and that was good enough for today. Normally she would have gone back, but something about the house intrigued her and she was determined to investigate.

She spurred Avitus on again, with a certain amount of disregard for the vines that snapped at her, and steered the ironclad boar in for a closer look.

Siehydra smiled at her success. It was obvious she was taking great joy in fighting, and the vines provided a new challenge for her that she enjoyed greatly as well. She continued to help Elyna fight off the vines. Too preoccupied with enjoying her own fight, she had not noticed the Elf and the human in their struggles against the flowers and vines. Siehydra continued to fight against the vines by Elyna, forgetting about the shambler for now.

Teeu stared at the sight next to the scout. Taking interest in the orb he asked him, while still following him to the other exalted, "What is the orb for?" By now he had drawn his daggers, realizing that the three had fallen into a trap, and he may be required. He thought that the elf would have prevented this, but he saw that he was wrong.

As the swirling melee continues, Elyna and Seihydra continue to hack through the animate foliage, parrying and slicing vines as then continue to lops chunks off the flowers that control them. Some of the swirling vines cease to move as Seihydra hacks open one flower and slices open a sack of glowing golden nectar.

Belisera's guides Avitus through the flower patch, around the lower growing giant flowers and into the ruins. Past the wall, just out of sight is another giant white rose, easily twice of the others, sitting low to the ground, surrounded by a thick patch of thorny vines. Relaxing within the giant rose is a what appears to be a naked young woman, incredibly creamy white skin and golden hair shinning in the sun. She glances to notice Belisera as she comes around the stone wall, but otherwise pays no mind.

Several strides away, the scout runs alongside Teeu. Despite the speed and weight of his armor, he has yet to break a sweat. "Those flowers are meat eaters. They entangle and hook on to flesh with their vines, then bleed their prey over their flower petals."

As the first flower and set of vines fall, Elyna continues to slice her way through the vines to make her way to the next flower. As soon as she reaches the next flower, she begins to slice away at the flower's petals. Whatever it was that spilled from the first one appeared to be vital to the rose, so finding and spilling that was her new objective.

As she hacks away at the flower, Elyna becomes vaguely aware of the fact that Bellisera is missing. Unwilling to risk taking her attention away from the task at hand to look around for her, she simply grumbles to herself. "She was the one who wanted this fight.." Fortunately, there was an evil flower directly in front of her to take the brunt of her wrath.

Bellisera slowed Avitus to a standstill. The great War-boar was not happy at this, and snorted at the new apparition that had appeared before them.

She looked at the young woman and saw no immediate threat, but she was still cautious. There was something off about this scene. Here was the centre, where all the vines originated and all she could see was a seemingly innocent girl. She had no reason or desire to fight an unarmed and non-threatening opponent, her code of honour would not allow it. Still, she remained vigilant as she rested her lance on her shoulder and slowly raised her visor.

"What ho young miss. Might I assume that you are the epicentre of this little garden? You may try to battle me if you wish, but I assure you that I am strong. You may not come out of our duel in one piece. I came to slay zombies, but it seems I have stumbled onto something much more powerful. What manner of creature are you? Do you have a name? Can you even speak?"

Teeu turned towards the scout and nodded at him. His question wasn't answered, but he knew they were in for a fight now. He stared at the continuing battle, seeing that the elf and Siehydra were making progress. At least those two together weren't going to fall so easily. Bellisera seemed to disappear out of sight, and Teeu didn't know what to make of this. She must have gone farther into the flower patch was the only thing that he could think of, and decided that she could take care of herself, although he knew there chances of living through this fight would be far greater if they would actually stay together.

Siehydra continued her battle against the plants. She grinned in satisfaction as the plant finally died. Without thinking she moved on to the next one, ready to destroy it as she did the first one.

Seihydra and Elyna both elegantly dodge and weave among the whipping vines, Seihydra with the grace of a dancer and the Elyna with the agility of a falling petal. They easily lops off chunks of petals leafs and vines from the flower, exposing another gelatinous sac of glowing golden nectar from another of the menacing roses. However, they both lunge for the final blow and end up colliding spectacular, falling to the ground in a tangle of limbs.

(Seihydra and Elyna have both fallen prone. It's not a good position to be in, but they can easily get back on their feet and attack with full force before the vines can take advantage of the situation... Unless you both want them to be vinetacle raped. )

On the other side of the ruins, the woman in the massive white rose glances towards Belisera at her challenge, frowns in boredom, shrugs, then begins checking her nails.

Several strides away, the scout is running through the valley between the hills. His strides begin to quick slightly, gaining a lead. Teeu can see him pull on string on the orb as he says to him between breaths, "This is an alchemical orb that ignites the air around it when it shatters. Those flowers are very flammable."

(I think I'll just get up and see how it plays out. Even if it means more of the "I hit it, with my sword!" posts that I so enjoy. Also, did Oregano die twice? o.o)

"Oof!" With an audible thump, Elyna smashes into the other exalted and immediately rolls away from her and returns to her feet. Despite the shock from the impact, she swiftly returns to the offense as if nothing had happened. Leveraging her speed, she continues striking at the plants before they could get a chance to respond to the mistake.

Matching the other exalted Siehydra let out a loud, clumsy "Ooof" as she collided with Elyna. Prone to the ground, she said out loud, still dazed, "Oow..." In the impact she had dropped her scythe and was scrambling to pick it back up. Siehydra did not think about the vulnerable position she was in and didn't get back up while looking for her scythe.

Teeu watching from far away saw Siehydra's and Elyna's collision and he also saw that Siehydra had fallen down, and was not getting back up. Seeing the vulnerable position she was in, he grinded his teeth. He said to the scout simply, with some urgency in his voice, "We need to hurry." Teeu himself did not feel tired from the run, but he was always able to stand conditions that others could not.

Bellisera did not like to be ignored. The arrogance of this woman had prevented her from having any chance of being shown mercy.

"Very well, if that is how you want it... I charge you with creating these murderous flowers and collaborating with creatures most foul. The sentence for your crimes is death . Weapon or no, I will now deliver justice to you with my lance. Prepare yourself."

Avitus reared, sensing another battle near. Bellisera prepared herself, summoning up her vigor and her imperious gaze to send dread in the heart of her enemy. She had a feeling this would not be an easy fight.

She lowered her visor and her lance.

"Prepare yourself."

And she charged.

Seihydra and Elyna quickly regain their footing, not giving the whipping vines any time to take advantage of their falter. Slicing a vine out of the way, Seihydra quickly punctures the exposed nectar sac, killing the rose and rendering it's vines inanimate. Together they continue their gardening, Elyna hacking several leaves and petals of the last giant thorned rose.

The women in the huge rose ignores Belisera, that is until she is attacked by the mounted lady. Seeing the knight charge, she plant woman scowls as the massive flower raises from the ground. It's vines coil and lash out, slowing the charge. Though it to no avail, as Belisera is easily able to guide Avitus close enough to allow her to jab her lance deep into the massive flower, tearing the outer petals and pouting holes in many of the creamy white ones within.

As the last rose struggles to fend her off with the few remaining vines, Elyna grins as cleanly sliced bits of plant fall harmlessly to the ground all around her. She confidently brings Loving Gail down on the flower, aiming to finish this fight in one good clean hit. Once this was dead, they could figure out where Bellisera had gone and get back to the road.

Suddenly realizing that she completely ignored Siehydra after colliding with her, Elyna calls out to her. "All you alright Sie? I didn't mean to bump into you!"

Bellisera scowled at the sudden defense the girl had raised. He lance had penetrated the surface, but the woman's defense was strong.

"Coward! Come and face me!"

She wheeled away, guiding Avitus past the vines and came around for a second run. She leveled her lance again, hoping this time her charge would rip clean through her opponent.
