It was mentioned in one of the 3(?) threads about these games, but I don't recall which one or which page. Long story short, the dev decided they were trans and stated they were "too busy" to work on games any more. (Not joking)

Actually, from what I remember, didn't the dev say he had scheduled a surgery, and then after THAT was never heard of again?

From what I remember, they were still making posts on Twitter after the surgery. Some time after that, their account was shut down for no apparent reason (according to discussion in the thread, never checked myself).

Given the current state of Twitter, there's any number of reasons why he wouldn't want to have an account there, choice or no.

As for the blog, it's just something he likely didn't feel like maintaining because RL got in the way. I've seen plenty of creators in both the US and JP delete their accounts when they feel like withdrawing from whatever scene they were a part of in their "stupid teen years" or simply because they just felt the need to move on and leave the past behind.

Hopefully people will keep archives around forever, because let's face it, nothing truly ever goes away on the internet.

Guy's probably part of the FIRE in SEA group of people at this point, last we knew was that he had surgery somewhere in Thailand and made a few posts after that before completely disappearing
