Naughty Gaming is pleased to announce our first game, The Traveler: Episode 1. The Traveler is an adult visual novel that drew inspiration from the TV series Dr. Who. The series will feature the adventures of the Traveler and his first companion, Celeste.

Episode 1: The Baron, the Bitch, and the Bathroom features about two hours of game play with a little replay ability. The majority of the game play occurs in Windsor Castle in the year 1154. Days are broken up into morning, afternoon, and evening where the player will choose where to go using map movement.

The game features eleven heroines. From the historical figures of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Rosamund Clifford to completely fictional sisters Sela (Nun), Margery (Seamstress), and Jennet (Maid). All characters have at least three different sex scenes. Adding in a few other CGs and there are 69 images in total to unlock.

All renders are in 1920×1200 resolution with six different windowed modes for monitors of different resolutions. The heroines range in age from 18 to 34 with bust sizes from A to DD. Note that there is no loli content in this game and the 18 year old looks and acts like an adult. There are also no women with gigantic breasts with half their body weight in their boobs. If those are things you are looking for in a game you should probably look elsewhere.

In addition to the virtual novel aspect the game features two mini-games, one inspired by the meet and fuck games and one inspired by the classic game Breakout.

If you are into retro style games this game should be right up your alley. The game uses an autosave feature where the stored save is deleted upon retrieval. But don’t worry The Traveler offers three different difficulty levels for those that don’t want to be hung up on the mini-games (Casual), or those who want to reload a mini-game after a failed attempt (Normal).

While the dialog isn’t voiced, the game heavily leverages sound effects and expressions. It is highly recommended that you play the game with at least the sound effects on as it will be a much better experience.

Currently The Traveler is only available on Windows (version 7 or later) but if there is enough interest this game could be ported to Linux, Mac, or even Android operating systems. You can download The Traveler: Episode 1 for free here:

Edit: Version 1.01 with a bug fix for the brickout game.

Re: The Traveler Episode 1

*History pedantry inbound*

I realize this is a porn game, but if you're going to set a game in an actual historical period, might it not be wise to use costumes that bear even a passing resemblance to that era? It's super easy to find period artwork on the internet.

There. Now you'll never get it wrong again.

*History pedantry over*

Otherwise the game is actually pretty good. I found the first sex scene to be a bit abrupt, but it was well executed. The mini game with the door in the castle bugged out though; the ball decided it didn't want to move so I had to alt-tab out.

Re: The Traveler Episode 1

I know how that happened to me, if you have the "Catch" powerup and you get an Enlarge while the ball is caught, it bugs and won't move anymore.

Uh, overall, I wasn't super impressed. The games of Breakout are far too common and extremely boring (to me) while the powerups really aren't even the types of powerup I would want. Give me a speed and a split powerup to get maximum bounces off in a short period of time! It's so unwieldly that the fireball powerup can actually be more confusing.

I feel like a lot of the facial expressions could also use some work, looking through the art files was kinda scary.

However, what I do like is that you have a very unique premise to your game. I haven't seen something in this setting before, so that's pretty cool.

Re: The Traveler Episode 1

Thanks for trying out the game and noting that bug Sasha. Here is the bug fix for that:

This is version 1.01 with a fix for the brickout game when you get an enlarge power up following a catch power up. It isn't very clean, but it does fix the bug.

As for the period clothes it isn't that I wasn't aware that aware that most of the dresses weren't from the right time frame but the available dresses for the software I was using was limited. I do hope to do better if there is a followup in this regard.

Also thanks for your input thswherizat. There were originally more power ups but as the game grew I had to pull back some things in order to actually finish it.

The art work, particularly the expressions, are definitely something that I struggle with in the 3D software I am using (Daz Studio). I can't draw so using this software is the only real option for me but I am definitely still learning with that. Again hopefully if there is a second version those expressions will come out better and that will be a point of emphasis.

Thanks for your comments on the premise. I was hoping that this game would offer something different.
