:) I can't even hope to compete with him yet, especially since i can't sprite at all yet...
still, I've got a fairly solid concept for a game that hasn't been done yet, a cat burglar style megaman game :) where each stage has the character infiltrate places to steal gadgets, i don't think we've had a stealth platformer yet... throw in a setting with sexy demons and im good :)
demons and science go well together... and I'll be making it with as little text as i can, using icon speech bubbles where possible.

I liked how kurovadis was kinda seamless and naturally caused you to circle back after gaining new powers but i think I'll be going with a map screen with the different areas


edit - i also think we need a thread to discuss games design/mechanics we like... there doesnt seem to be a place for this kind of discussion on the forum...and people hardly check the under construction pages...

Tbh, you might consider addressing core problems like art quality. I don't mean to patronize you as my own drawing skills probably haven't been tested since 1st grade paint class. But if you're looking into making an H-game of any sort, cg quality is going to come first and foremost (unless you do sprite h-scenes, but as mentioned that's different)

I'd focus on just drawing for a while dude, then come back to integrating it all into a game.

They get paid based on not just number of downloads, but size. The DDL companies want people to get frusterated and pay for non-crippled download speeds, so they like people uploading large files.

I really hope people check for torrents on this stuff, or links here first. These scumbags are basically pirating stuff of Share and then putting them up on premimum/obnoxious DDL sites to actually profit off other people's work. Piracey is one thing, this is going into outright theft.

I agree, some torrents are also fakes, this i don't know why they even started faking it in torrents too.

The same idea, perhaps? Torrents are usually very slow, so if you hit a fake torrent, you're going to be insanely frustrated and probably want to switch to a DDL.

However, if people can just torrent it without the fear of hitting a fake, they're going to just torrent it.
