I’ve been actively learning and practicing NoFap and semen retention for over 3 months.
My thoughts?
It does work.
But it’s not that simple!

As everyone in the beginning I was over-excited and the benefits seemed to be crazy good!
  • more energy
  • more positivity
  • increase confidence
  • etc.
It’s all true, BUT!
After a while this progress stagnated and I learned that just stopping masturbating and porn will lead me only that far.
That’s when I invested heavily in reading books and studying all I could about semen retention, sexual transmutation, Taoist non-ejaculatory orgasms, energy rotation etc.

Lots of reading...! Okay, in picture these are not sex books as I was mostly reading Kindle, but you get the idea!
When I learned how to do those ninja things, especially sexual transmutation, that’s when I could really see it as a lifelong practice.
I kept my notes as I went through my own . I wrote an extensive guide explaining the journey and what I learned.

Here’s a quick version of those 99 days:
  • Day 1 - Excited
  • Day 3 - Used the excitement to add healthy lifestyle changes
  • Day 7 - Power, energy, sexual drive increasing.
  • Day 14 - The peak of the experience. Feeling the superpowers, overoptimistic.
  • Day 21 - Trouble begins, improvements plummet
  • Day 31 - Having weird belly pain, freaked out and ejaculated.
  • Month 2 - Active studying of semen retention, sexual transmutation, learning how to rotate my sexual energy, lots of trial and error. Accidental ejaculations.
  • Month 3 - Learned non-ejaculatory orgasm, implementing Semen Retention as a lifelong practice
I actually documented all 99 days of my . After some ups and downs, now it has actually been incorporated into my life. It’s no longer a challenge!

Is 5 months enough to say it was dead?
Maybe it was just hibernating for winter, sleep before the first snow, wakes in spring

I wouldn't say it's dead. As I posted at the OP, this is a thread to track progress and motivate others to embrace the practice themselves. Whether or not someone takes it seriously enough to follow through, that's their prerogative. I've found two weeks has been my max currently, but I'm aspiring from today onward to do the 90-day challenge.

@dainix I've heard that better eating, focusing that sexual energy into gains (weight-lifting, cardio, etc), and having other focuses is pretty crucial. I haven't heard of the stomach pain before, but similar symptoms like testicular pain and such is common after a certain period. It's mostly the body building up semen in that region and, with nowhere to go, it just keeps building. There are apparently things that can reduce the pain and even make it go away, but it's all about self-restraint for the first two weeks. That's where the self-confidence and motivation for self-improvement comes from, too. The more you resist those urges and put them out of your mind, the strong your will to resist urges overall becomes.

I would say if you're experiencing physical pain and aren't working out or otherwise using the excess energy, find a hobby or something that uses it. What excess energy you have will start to increase, so your body will then have excess energy to put towards increasing your pain threshold and making you stronger. It's why a lot of nofap participants focus on building themselves physically.

Nofap Day 1: You realize that all your life you have been fapping along as if you were in a dream. Suddenly, facing the trials of the last few days, you have come alive.

Nofap Day 2: You realize that you are catching on to the secret of success. It's just a matter of not fapping.

Nofap Day 3: It's all suddenly obvious to you. You just have to stop fapping. All the energy and time you've wasted -- it's a sin. But without the experience you've gained, taking risks, taking responsibility for fapping, how could you have understood?

Nofap Day 4: Everything you do is just a bit easier, more instinctive, more satisfying. It is as though you had suddenly developed keen senses and instincts.

Nofap Day 5: You sense yourself more aware, more open to new ideas. You've learned a lot about semen retention. It's hard to believe how ignorant you were -- but now you have so much more to learn.

Nofap Day 6: You resolve to continue NoFap. Perhaps there's more to you than you thought.

Nofap Day 7: The secret does seem to be not fapping, yes, but it's also a kind of blind passion, an inspiration.

Nofap Day 8: You woke today with a new sense of purpose. You're no longer afraid of not fapping. Not fapping is just an opportunity to learn something new.

Nofap Day 9: Being smart doesn't hurt. And a little luck now and then is nice. But the key is patience and not fapping. And when it pays off, it's SWEET!

Nofap Day 10: You can't believe how easy it is. You just have to go -- "I'm not gonna touch my dick". And then, suddenly, it all makes sense, and everything you do turns to gold.

Nofap Day 11: It's the most amazing thing. Yesterday it was hard, and today it is soft. Just a good night's sleep, and yesterday's boners are today's half-chubs.

Nofap Day 12: Today you wake up, full of energy and ideas, and you know, somehow, that overnight everything has changed. What a difference a day makes.

Nofap Day 13: Today you suddenly realized the life you've been living, the punishment your balls have taken -- there are limits to what the testicles can endure, and perhaps you have reached them. You've wondered what it is like to get blue balls. Well, now you know.

Nofap Day 14: You've been too hard, thinking too much. Relax. Trust your instincts. Just be yourself. Do the little things, and the big things take care of themselves.

Nofap Day 15: You may be as strong today as any mortal who has ever walked the earth, but there's always someone younger, a new challenger.

Nofap Day 16: You're really good. Maybe the best. And that's why it's so hard. But you just keep trying, because that's the way of the NoFap.

Nofap Day 17: You'll never be better than you are today. If you are lucky, by superhuman effort, you can avoid slipping backwards for a while. But sooner or later, you're going to lose a step, or drop a beat, or miss a detail -- and you'll cum.
