Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel: HP = 71, PP 71, EP = 148, Status = Pregnant

Dori: ???

Michael would listen intently to Anthriel's explanations, first about Dori and second about the sidhe. Whether he noticed her choice to lie by omission or not, the archangel would nod simply when the Nephilim had finished with her response about Dori, asking no questions, but when she spoke of Nameless' cryptic mentioning of another Nephilim his lips thinned. "That is.... Troubling," he replied calmly, and whether there was something more to his feelings or not was impossible for Anthriel to determine just then. "Wait here," he said, and then vanished without any sign of his passage.

A tense minute would pass before Michael returned, this time with a soft flash of white light and accompanied by Dori, still in his miniature draconic form and still seemingly comatose. "Is this your card?" the archangel asked dryly, and whether Anthriel replied affirmatively or not he would turn to face the dragon that he had teleported from the faerie glade squarely, running his hands over the black scales where they'd been pierced only a few moments earlier. "Mmmm.... Fungal spores? Creative.... And hard to remove, especially since they're enchanted... Normal magic wouldn't get rid of these, at best it'd slow them and at worst it would actually make them spread faster.

"Still, it's not impossible to cure." Closing his eyes, the archangel began to glow, power thrumming through him that grew until it was beyond even what Anthriel could conjure at the height of her desperation, and then slowly that power began to work itself into Dori. Golden light lightly flushed through the dragon, coiling around the area of his wounds, and through them Anthriel would see tendrils spreading from those sealed wounds deeper into the dragon's body, coiling slowly but surely toward his heart and up his neck towards his head. As the golden light followed them, however, it began make those tendrils shrink, destroying the parasitic fungus slowly but surely until only the core bundles of spores left by the spider's fangs remained, the most resilient portions and the last to be burned away by the archangel's magic.

After a few moments it was finished, and Michael opened his eyes and stepped back as Dori began to shrink, slowly returning to his human form, still completely naked and seemingly unconscious. "It is done," Michael said coolly, "he will live, and remain himself."

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel finally let her emotions show, the moment that Michael was gone, getting them all out of her system by pulling her hair and stomping around. Really? She couldn't come back for that mushroom fuck and his heartless horned cohort? Damn them both! But Michael was helping Dori, she didn't grudge the price, just the ruling.

As Michael returned with Dori, Anthriel's emotions went back in their cage for the time being, she didn't want to reveal how attached she was, though she could guess that her asking the Archangel for a direct intervention was all the clue he needed, if he even cared. Still, she didn't say anything, simply watching as she paced.

The wash of power that built up around Michael again wasn't anything shocking, though it was always a reminder that despite all the power she could bring to bare, she was by no means the most powerful Soul. Michael could snuff her out with a glance if he wanted to, which always still confused her. Still, questions for AFTER her child was safely born, the same as the Nephilim she had to find, before Michael did, and that raise was going to be hard to win, but she wasn't about to risk hers and Dori's child with no real leads, she'd keep her ear to the ground for now, nothing more.

As the magic began to take hold, Anthriel refused to avert her gaze, watching each excruciating moment until it was over, and Michael uttered the sentence she had been praying for, the words she had needed to hear, that her mistake hadn't cost her lover his life. And that's when her façade cracked and she collapsed on the unconscious Dori, cradling his head and weeping, the second time today that he had been lightly bathed in her shimmering tears. The shame at the situation shone through everything else as she looked to Michael, and uttered a nearly silent "Thank you." as she rocked gently back and forth and waited for him to wake up.

Dori: ???

Michael stood over Anthriel patiently as she cradled Dori and wept, his gaze speculative but otherwise perfectly unreadable as she issued her near-silent thanks. Not that she was paying much attention to the archangel, of course, as she waited for her lover to awaken. After a few minutes, she would feel him stirring in her arms, and a few moments further patience on her part would prompt the dragon to slowly open his eyes. "Uuuggghhhh..." he groaned softly, his eyes unfocused, but as she issued whatever reaction she wished at his awakening Anthriel would feel his hand close over the base of her tail. One quick yank would send the all too familiar burst of stimulation blasting through her, and at her reaction to that the dragon would grin broadly, "there, much better than crying!"

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel's outpouring of affection for her lover would pause as she felt the base of her tail grabbed, and then yanked, causing her to sit bolt upright with a loud gasp as her entire body tremble, the unexpected climax shocking her, before she glared down at Dori.

"You heartless miserable mischief making bastard!" She cried, thumping ineffectually on his chest for a moment as she blushed a deep scarlet, now perfectly ready to kill the dragon for doing that in this tender moment, let alone in front of Michael. Stopping, Anthriel turned and gestured as she helped Dori sit up.

"Dori, the Archangel Michael. Michael, Dori. He saved your life Dori... a thank you is in order" She whispered, standing and trying to recompose herself desperately, her wings wrapped tightly around her body and her tail safely coiled up around her inner thigh, eye still twitching for a moment as she contemplated her lover's murder.

Once they'd said whatever they wanted to say, if anything, Anthriel would sit back down next to Dori. "Well, the Grove is off limits now... we should probably get a move on to... Somewhere? Or do you need time to rest?" She asked, glancing around their current position.

Dori: ???

Even if he didn't know precisely what happened, Anthriel's reactions, both conscious and automatic, clued Michael in on the results of pulling the hybrid's newly grown tail. His expression soured, and with a frown he folded his arms over his chest. "Uhhh.... Hi. Thanks?" Dori said after the half-angel's anger was played out and she had turned to making introductions. "Charmed," Michael replied dryly, "don't mention it. If that's all you need, I'll be going now." And with that, Michael simply vanished, leaving Anthriel alone with Dori. The very moment that the archangel vanished, Anthriel's words regarding what they ought to do were forced down her throat as Dori jumped to his feet, grabbed her, and pulled Anthriel into a long, open mouthed kiss that held her trapped against his strong form for the better part of the next three minutes.

When he released her, Anthriel felt Dori sigh, and if she returned to talking about what they ought to do next the dragon would grimace. "Well... Can't win 'em all, I guess. Still... Thank you. I'd be dead if you hadn't gone for help. I guess we should continue North, so.... I'm ready whenever you are."

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel only returned the kiss for about 2 seconds before remembering how mad she was at the dragon. Trying to pull away, her nose wound up brushing his mess of hair and she only managed to get away long enough to sneeze...

And just as before, she wound up sharing minds with about a hundred tiny versions of herself, which all immediately flitted around Dori, biting, pinching, and yanking on his hair, flailing around him as a chorus of tiny voices berated him, before one landed on his ear and proceeded shouting at him.

"PULL MY TAIL IN FRONT OF A FUCKING ARCHANGEL!? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GODDAMNED MIND! THAT WAS MICHAEL! OF ALL THE THINGS TO DO COULD YOU HAVE DONE ANYTHING THAT WOULD HAVE EMBARRASED ME LESS!? YOU SCALEY IDIOT! SUFFER!!!" She screamed, though even with her head buried in his ear, Anthriel probably didn't sound much louder then normal, and a great deal squeakier as she continued to flail, scratch, bite, and otherwise torment the dragon to the best of her abilities, chasing him like a swarm of angry bees if he tried to run, and clinging to him at any offered chance. No amount of being charming would save him! She had just CUM! IN FRONT OF MICHAEL! FROM A GOD DAMNED DEMON TAIL!!! AHHHH!

Dori: Fine

The sudden swarm of tiny angels surrounding him had Dori laughing at first, but when she started her assault his laughter quickly turned to an outcry of surprise and pain. He quickly got to his feet and tried to dash away, still laughing between grunts of pain, but when that didn't work he suddenly stopped and began to glow. Without warning Dori began to shift, skin hardening into scales and bone cracking as it changed its shape, and within only a few moments Anthriel suddenly had nothing left that she could torment as Dori stood on all fours in his well armored draconic form. He gave a snort as he stood in the swarm of Anthriels, and then began batting at them lightly with his front paws, like a cat playing with a bunch of toys.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel, confronted with this new enemy, who treated her tiny bitey pixies like cat toys tried everything from holding down his paws and tails, to bombarding him with rocks that seemed big to them, but were really just pebbles. Still, once the halfbreed had burned through her outrage, she starting buzzing around him in a circle, the hive mind landing on the ground in front of him with her hands on her hips, stomping her feet and squeaking uselessly at him before throwing up her hands and giving up.

Flitting about and up into the trees, Anthriel's primary tiny body landed on his face, straddling his snout and looking into his eyes, before smacking it harmlessly and laying down, tired, to give him the closest thing to a hug she could and then skipping up onto his head.

"So, we either find some pepper, or wait it out again. I'm alright with that, I draw enough attention as it is. Let's just go" She sighed into the indentations hidden along his head. Besides, the way the world looked, like this, was so much more interesting, and she secretely loved it. Around Dori, this swarm continued to keep pace, just zipping around until something either agitated her nose again, or something shocked her into forcing the power away. Right now she couldn't care enough to be bothered.

Dori: Fine

Dori would content himself to toy with the army of angelic pixies for a little while before Anthriel realized that she could offer no harm to the dragon in his present form and eventually surrendered. His eyes crossed when one of her landed on his nose, but when she eventually shifted to the top of his head he corrected his vision and gave a wordless grunt. He simply rose back to his feet and started walking, leaving his wings folded as he walked along the ground and Anthriel buzzed around him. The woods were much plainer than the faerie forest they had been in before, but neither of them were greatly hampered by the terrain, Dori in his smaller form sleek enough to slip through the trees and underbrush with ease while Anthriel's individual swarm members were so small that they had no trouble getting through the woods.

The travel itself was mind numbingly dull on the ground, and they encountered nothing that would force Anthriel back to her original form. Eventually, however, she would begin to feel the strain of being in that form for so long, and as night fell she would feel the need to return to her full sized form. They had made good headway to the North, but it would be weeks before they got to Crolia at this rate, and even if they opted to take to the air it would still be a long time before they even got out of Badaria.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

As night began to fall, both parties tired, Anthriel starting to strain to hold her physical body apart In the swarm, she started to think about how long this was going to take, this journey, and decided tomorrow they were flying. And she hadn't even done any of the walking, she didn't want to think about how much her feet would have been killing her.

Rolling off of Dori and reforming into her proper self, Anthriel flopped against a tree and sighed. "Well, ridiculous journey aside, we're both still alive. Banned from a grove, but alive... I'll call the day a win..." She offered, rubbing her eyes and yawning in the dark, not that it bothered her any, she could sense Dori likely from miles away if she gave it a serious try.

"Still, we should start taking to the air whenever it's safe, or we're never going to get anywhere at this pace. We have wings after all and it's not like we're helpless." She continued, watching her companion with her dark gaze, the gold spattered throughout her eyes like tiny gems shining in the darkness.

Dori: Fine

Dori would give only a wordless growl in response to Anthriel's summation of their somewhat eventful day. The dragon would settle where they'd stopped, staring at Anthriel, and after a moment would simply nod and curl his long neck around, settling into a position not unlike a cat preparing to have a nap. They had come to rest in another section of forest, the brush thin and mostly consisting of short grasses, ferns, and mosses that were all buried lightly in the first fallen leaves of autumn and the needles of the many pines that joined their leafier brethren.

The night would pass uneventfully, and they would awaken to clear skies. Dori was still in his dragon form, and Anthriel would need to prod him a bit to rouse the dragon if she got up too early, but after giving a wide yawn that displayed rows of deadly looking teeth he would settle onto his feet and wait for her to pick their direction for the day.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel didn't waste any time in curling up inside the dragons little area, snuggled up against his body happily, never hiding from Dori that she was still happy they were together, and that wasn't something that would change, no matter the day, or the situation. She was easily angered, but the dragon had proven he could take whatever she could dish out, and she'd shown she was seasoned enough to do the same. They were an odd pair, but not one she regretted.

As they woke, Anthriel rousing first before scratching him under his scaly chin before he woke himself, the half-breed kissed the side of his maw before standing and stretching herself, shaking off the morning drowse.

Rather then spend a whole lot of time talking, and not overly concerned with too much today, hoping admittedly for a break that she wouldn't fuck up somehow, Anthriel took to the air, her plans to head true north still unwavering.

Dori: Fine

With hr dragon following her into the air, Anthriel would be unimpeded in her journey North, crossing miles and miles under the power of wind and wing over the course of the morning. Dori would dive down over a lake, scooping a fish out of it and swallowing it down, and would do a few passes over it for another few fish and some water, allowing Anthriel to drink and perhaps to bathe. The rest of their day would pass equally uneventfully, and by the time the sun was going down they were over the Gormoia mountains between Badaria and Crolia. They were safe up in the air, but if she wished to rest Anthriel would have to land in the snowy mountains. It was colder here, not that it mattered much to her, and definitely less populated than the area they'd just left.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel opted to stay In the air as they traveled, Dori eating his fill over the lake uninterrupted as Anthriel freely admitted to herself she wasn't physically strong enough to lift herself into the air soaking wet, and however aided her body was by her untapped spiritual power, she was in no mood to strain herself. She knew full well that creatures such as herself didn't need to eat nearly as often as mortals did, but the act was still pleasant, and no one was freed from the initial pangs of hunger after having eaten regularly.

Pushing the issue of feeding herself away for now, simply bookmarking it in her mind for when they found a place to land, Anthriel was content to ride the air currents until they'd hit a destination she found suitable.

As the range came into view, towering stone peaks clawing ever upwards into the heavens, Anthriel looked for anything eye level. She had no interest in being close to ground, and less interest still in being discovered or bothered.

Circling slowly in the air, looking for where the thermals gave way to rushing cold air currents, and dangerous drag around the peaks, she would guide Dori carefully through the air, his raw physical strength aside... she had to assume he'd never flown in air like this... Moreover, his strength would mean less and less as the air continued to grow ever more wicked in some places, and thin as the whispers of a ghost in others.

No matter how many hours it took, no matter how high she had to go, Anthriel would not land until she'd found a cave, and hopefully a large system behind it, to rest... and hide within... As far as she knew, Michael still did not know of her pregnancy, though he may guess, and however fruitless he thought hiding from his sight was, that wouldn't stop her from trying her damnedest...

Dori: Fine

Dori wouldn't apparently have any trouble navigating the winds despite Anthriel's misgivings about his ability to do so, and eventually they would find a cave from the air into which they could descend to rest. It was an open rocky pit in the ground, slightly warmer than the wintry air of the mountains but still quite cold, and this time Dori would coil around her to shroud Anthriel in his warmth while they rested. Their brief period of relaxation would end again, the pair undisturbed, and then they would be free to continue their journey, or to explore deeper into the cave they had stumbled upon, whichever Anthriel preferred.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel was glad to sleep when they'd found a cave, curled up inside the dragon's ring of warmth as he curled around her. Pleasant dreamless sleep gave way to a cold morning atop the mountain and the howling wind outside the cave was more then enough to bring her around with a sigh.

Gently waking Dori, Anthriel stayed curled up with him for a time, stroking his scaly neck. "Well, this may not be a bad place to hole up for a time. Besides, it's the two of us without another soul. No one is in danger for having us around, I just hope you don't regret leaving with me." Anthriel said as a simple matter of fact, her head tilted slightly in worry but otherwise stern, she was dedicated to keeping Dori away from his family before they were hurt, and with her... for... selfish reasons.

Standing and stretching, Anthriel shook the snow from her wings with a smile, and glanced into the cave, and then back outside. "Keep going? or another dive into the unknown? At least the cave is warm... Just... trying to remember what inhabits places like this... Really no telling. Could be completely lifeless in this chill, but I doubt it. At the very least there might be food."

Dori: Fine

Dori gave a noncommital growl and glared down into the cave, eventually shaking his head. The dragon, even his more lithe form, wouldn't maneuver well in the cavern with his wings holding him back, and Anthriel probably wouldn't fare any better. That wouldn't necessarily stop the mischievous angel from trying to explore further, however, especially if she didn't recall what had happened last time she did that. He wouldn't complain about being allowed to lay around a bit longer, however, settling back down and closing his eyes until Anthriel prodded him into moving.

Anthriel followed Dori's glare, before letting out a held breath and nodding. "Yea, didn't turn out too well last time did it. But keeping a monster like that just... penned up. Gah, I don't see the sense in it. Still, we can lay about a bit longer before we get to moving again. If we find a place to settle though, we'll have to figure it all out or it'll be trouble later." Anthriel said, leaning back in against Dori and looking out into the wind.

Another hour or so and the halfbreed would eventually poke and prod at the dragon until he was up and moving, no sense in staying she could see immediately and there was still ground to cover.

Dori: Fine

Giving off grumbling growls, Dori would rouse and crawl with Anthriel out of the cavern in which they had taken refuge. They would take to the air once more, flying high over the mountains, and would again continue through the day. The Gormoia mountain range was not small, however, and it would take the whole of the day before they even saw the far peaks signaling that they were finally nearing Crolia. Darkness came again, but this time Dori would dive down towards the ground without consulting her, and should she follow Anthriel would spot the cabin towards which he was diving. He would transform just before hitting the ground, turning backing into his human form and now once more fully clothed, and would impact into nearly waist deep snow with a grimace. "Fancy a rest in a warm bed for once?" he said when Anthriel landed beside him, pointing towards the nearby cabin where smoke curled up from the chimney and flickering light shown through the frosty windows.

Re: One in Three Thousand (Courage Wolf)

Anthriel followed, but otherwise did NOT follow his example when he smacked into waist-deep snow, opting instead to hover above him shaking her head and laughing. Her wings hurt a bit, but honestly, this was all pretty good for her, she had always been less on the physical side of things, and this was the most real exercise she'd gotten in far too long.

HOWEVER, nothing would deny that she had no interest whatsoever, cold dulled or not, to walk naked through snow that would come up to her breasts.

"A warm bed would be great, assuming whoever is in there will let us in, has a spare bed, and doesn't freak out the moment they see us. Regardless, lets be careful..."
