Oh! thank, I try your method and it's work :D
But I feel like I'm cleared this game because of bug. No way I can win 5th girl in normal way.
And I'm deleted this game because the battle are too intense to feel fun :(

Anyway, since it seems far better to counter attacks instead of attacking yourself, I see no reason not to use the heaviest sword along with the biggest shield.
Try to counter, if you still have a rush token, use it directly after a successful one as Bobtheme said and you should remove most, if not all, of your opponents health.
If she uses rush, just hide behind your shield until it's over.

That's the dumbest fighting system I've seen. Not that the idea is bad it's just that the execution is awful.

So how the heck are you supposed to do this? I don't want to cop out and use the save but every counter I've gotten has been 100% luck. Every animation starts the same and you can't see the direction until it's too late.

man screw this game. i got the 1st girl down to 10% HP and she rushed and my screen turned white for no reason. it just stayed like that until i died, all the way from 75% HP. i used the save and the sprites aren't even good enough to warrant this difficulty tbh..

Yeah, the window for counters is rather short on some of the enemies.
#1 I managed to beat on my second try, but took about half health in damage.
#2 I countered twice, rushing on the second one, which straight up defeated her
#3 was actually the easiest so far, I kinda feel like she should've been the first opponent
#4 just used top attacks when I fought her
#5 is bloody impossible -.-'
Super short attack animations and the attacks look way to similar to each other...
Doesn't help that the intro text before the fight can't be skipped.

I actually managed to beat every single one by picking the heaviest sword and shield then using a combination of rushing and holding the down arrow to block.

But really, the sprites are all pretty much the same thing, so it's pointless. I should have stopped after the second girl but I figured it would get better. It did not.

Figured out a way to cheat at this.

Click and hold on the title bar with the mouse the pause the action. This will give you the time needed to figure out what to do.

This... omg, you can basically go frame by frame to see which direction the attack is coming from. This worked beautifully, and actually made me get better to the point I didn't always need to slow it down... still almost too damn fast for human reaction time though, pretty sure that the last girl is actually beyond human speeds.

EDIT: Having said that, and beating the game now, the animations don't really feel worth it... and that's coming from someone who normally prefers pixel to anything else really...

The fact you have to cheat to even get through this game is retarded. Whoever designed this game needs to get pushed into the fucking ocean. Assholes.
THEY SELL THIS TO PEOPLE, THE MONSTERS

Welcome to counter attack the game .Shitty game that only preys in the anger generated by the shitty battle system and the sprites that make it even worse. To win this you have to wait until you see the attack, anytime sooner and you get hit. Not worth the money instead by phantom knight that is a game with a way better system.
