The last thing you remember before everything was enveloped by a white light followed by you blacking out was destruction. Meteor's streaked through the sky smashing into buildings and vehicles, the ground tearing apart from the force of the collisions, chaos erupted everywhere as fires burnt out of control and people trying desperately to save themselves.
Who knew playing a video game could be the beginning of the end of the world?
"Thank you for purchasing SBURB2.0, this years hottest new reality augmentation game!" A chirpy female voice announced as you inserted the disc to install the game. SBURB2.0 promised to revolutionise the way people saw and viewed video games, and so like everyone else you decided to give it a go. And boy were they right...
You wake up in your room, the events of what had happened earlier quickly rushing into back into your head; the carnage of everything as you frantically went about doing what you read on some FAQ to try and save yourself, hoping that you were going to make it in time. And as you remember the FAQ you instinctively turn to look at your computer once more. Luckily the FAQ page is still open.
So yeah, this is an interest thread for a Homestuck-esque RP. Prior knowledge of the webcomic isn't needed as everything you'll need to know will be explained to you. Though the ones who do follow it will obviously have an edge. In regards to items created I'll be drawing them all, though until I've set up my PC and new graphic tablet they'll probably look meh. If there is enough interest (I'm looking for at most 4 players otherwise drawing up everything will take forever) I'll give out more information, though most of what you'll need to know is up there already. Also, I'm undecided on how fast this'll run, though I doubt it'll run too fast.

SBURB2.0

So what is SBURB2.0 exactly? From what I can tell it's a program, that
once the user activates it it acts as a doomsday device, giving the user
only a short amount of time to save him or herself from being wiped out.
Unfortunately that means everyone in the vicinity of the player will be
killed by the meteors heading their way. There's nothing you can do about
them now, so forget them. Your safety is top priority. This guide will serve
to help anyone currently playing SBURB2.0, and hopefully you'll have more
luck than I had. I don't have much time left so I'm going to only give you
the information you absolutely need to know.

You'll notice that when you run SBURB2.0 you'll receive a [B]SYLLADEX[/B]. This is
basically your inventory system. It's split into several sections;
[B]CAPTCHALOGUE DECK[/B] - This is the name given to the collection of
cards used to hold artifacts (another term used for items). Each card, once
an artifact is put into it, has a captcha code on the back that can be used
to duplicate the item stored in the card. Players start off with five cards
though I have read people have added many more cards to their deck.
[B]FETCH MODI[/B] - These are the method of which the cards are stored, and
can be retrieved from the captchalogue deck. From what I could tell on
forums everyone starts off with the 'Stack modus' deck, a deck that forces
the player to pick the most recent card put into the deck. It's my
understanding that there are more fetch modi as there's extra storage slots
on the fetch modus case though I haven't come across any yet.
[B]STRIFE DECK[/B] - This houses your -kind artifacts, items used as weapons.
While you can wield anything as a weapon (some guy I had talked to briefly
was using a table lamp as a weapon) I'd recommend finding something
decent before logging it as your -kind. Once you have logged an item as a
weapon you cannot unlog it. Again, I'm certain that you can log many more
different artifacts as weapons as the strife deck has a multitude of slots
though I've yet to find any spare strife cards.
Don't worry about having to lug all these decks around, as is the case with
video games these seem to hide in some kind of 'inventory space' as so not
to overencumber the player.

Item Creation

So what are you to do with all these items that you've just captchalogued?
You're going to create and combine them of course. And to do that you'll
need several pieces of equipment as well as plenty of Grist.
[B]GRIST[/B] - Grist is the currency used to create and combine items which
you'll get by defeating all those monsters the game spawns. And believe me
you're going to need a ton of it to create super powerful weapons.
[B]PUNCH DESIGNIX[/B] - With this you input the captcha code from the
back of the card with an item stored in it into the Punch Designix and once
that is done you insert the card into the slot on the machine. The Punch
Designix will then punch holes in the card so that it can be used to create
duplicates of the item stored. Unfortunately once the card has been punched
it cannot be used to store items in and as such your captchalogue deck will
be one card down.
[B]TOTEM LATHE[/B] - This is used to carve patterns into Cruxite Dowels
(these can be created for 10 Grist) from the punched holes on cards.
[B]ALCHEMITER[/B] - This is used to read the information from the carved
Cruxite Dowels to create new items. Though you will need sufficient Grist to
be able to create the items. Also you can combine items to create even
more wild items however I'll let you work that out as it isn't strictly
necessary, but it does make killing things a lot easier.
This I believe is all the information you'll need to save your ass before your
home is destroyed and you along with it. Unfortunately my time is almost up
but I wish you well and hope you don't suffer the same fate as myself and
many others around the world.
