There are known issues with Windows 7 if it is 64 bit, then it is pretty much impossible to play several japanese games.

It requires for this game several settings to be put to Japanese:

check and confirmed to be understood

The registration key for your installation (explained above).
Your Unicode needs to be set to Japanese.
Not sure on this one, but likely also location to Japanese.

I played the game just fine on a windows 7 64bit (and without using comparability mode etc)

It is not always the case, but over the topics that have been on this and other forums, it is often blamed on 64 bit windows 7 that they just cannot get games to work, what is different between those who can and cannot play is not known.

There has to be something some of us are doing differently. Perhaps using applocale is in some way impeding this... Like, it's missing something on 64 bit PC's that changing the settings manually would not, although I changed the settings manually already as well as use applocale.

I have it runnning using: 64 Bit win7, Jap Language code, without applocale.
Changed the install language using my script. Nvidia GForce 460, recent-ish drivers. DirectX installed. All versions of the .Net framework are installed. I doubt the .Net stuff is necessary for this game, but it's there.

applocal is a "crippled JP mode", using regional settings for JP is the best way to play JP games with least amount of errors (if any).

win7 pro 64bit SP1

only did the registry edit thing from 409 to 411 and game worked without any other problems.

Where can I find the adult version of the game?

To clarify, for those who haven't been following, the beach game is what it is (no monsters, no hentai), and therefore not to the interest of most of you. What should be of interest, is the sequel to the 'To Be Sacrificed', the first of which has its own thread on this forum. The demo to the sequel was released on August 12th, and the full game won't be out until October-ish (according to the DLsite notice).

To reiterate...again... The Adventure Island game seems to be done, and a disappointment to the tastes of this forum. The second Sacrifice game has a free demo out, and the full version won't be released until around early October according to the notice on DLsite.
