The battle begun quite quickly, Shiori managing to get a hit in while Kaei burned most of the slime off, however it suddenely pressed the offensive, surprising Kaei by enveloping her completely, Shiori couldnt pry the slime off as Kaei was suspended in its goo, tendrils wrapping around her ankles and arms and forcibly spreading her legs while her clothes dissolve, SHiori saw the slime quiver, then split, making two slimes, one which hastily attached to a hanging tree branch leaving Kaei looking downwards while the other continued attacking Shiori.

When Kaei rolled her eyes and blushed, Shiori giggled some more as they moved on. A little ways on, they started hearing a lot more noises rustling the bushes and tree branches. Shiori started getting ready to fight just as a slime dropped out of the trees in front of them.

Shiori remembered the slime she fought the day before back in the lab, and prepared to fight, as she didn't want to be grabbed by one of them and find out first hand what they did exactly. They fought back and forth with the slime with Shiori managing to stab it with her spear, and Kaei managed to blast it with her fire magic, but in the end it managed to get hold of Kaei and pull her up into the tree and dissolve her clothing. This left Shiori alone as the slime split in two and the second one came after her while the other continued to hold Kaei.

"Hold on Kaei, I'll try and deal with this one and get you down," Shiori said to her friend.

She then readied herself for round two with the weakened slime in front of her, using the range of her spear to attack it, while keeping it far enough back that it couldn't counter her with an attack of its own. She would make a couple of stabs at it in an attempt to quickly finish it off so she could got and aid Kaei in getting down.

The battle continued with Shiori managing to glance the slime, however in response it suddenely threw itself at her leg area, knocking her off balance for a minute letting it cover most of her legs with itself.

Shiori and the slime exchanged blows back and forth a few times with Shiori only managing a glancing blow against it, with the slime knocking her off balance and nearly causing her to fall down. She managed to catch herself though and prevent that, however in doing so the slime had managed to engulf her legs for the most part into itself.

"Damn... let go you bastard... I can't afford to lose here. Not to a slimy thing like you, I've got to save Kaei," Shiori said, cursing her luck at being grabbed like she had.

Knowing that she had to get loose so she could help her friend, she began stabbing her spear straight into the slime since it was at point blank range, knowing that she was unlikely to fail at hitting it at such a close range like that with an attack. She was hoping her attack would force it to let her go so she could finish it off and help Kaei.

Shioris thoughts were correct as she easily managed to impale the slime on her legs, and a quick flick later it was merrily sailing over the edge of the branch and landing ontop of a hapless fairy, although she still had no idea how to get up and reach Kaei, whos clothing landed on her face, soggy and wet, Kaei was busy having a slimy tentacle in her mouth, ass and lower lips, her muffled cries of pleasure blocking her attempts to scream for help as Shiori saw her juices be absorbed by the slime.

Shiori's stabs struck true on her target as she stabbed downwards into the slime. Once she had successfully skewered it to death, Shiori flung it off the end of her spear onto a fairy that happened to be flying by at the time. She thought to give a shout out to the hapless fairy and tell her she was sorry, but she had more pressing issues just now and looked up at Kaei and wondered how she was going to get her down. Just as she glanced up, Kaei's slimy clothes fell right on her head.

Once she pulled them off of her face, Shiori saw that Kaei was being muffled by the slimy tentacle in her mouth and couldn't talk, while two more invaded her lower holes. She though could climb up there, but it would likely be difficult to do so. so instead she decided to try and reach Kaei's hand with her spear.

"Kaei, here take try and grab the end of my spear and I'll pull you down and catch you, I know you can hear me so come on and try," Shiori called up to her friend, trying to encourage her to do as she said so she could get her down quicker. If Kaei was unable to reach the spear though whether due to Shiori being unable to get the spear high enough up or if Kaei simply couldn't get her arm out enough to grab it, then Shiori would attempt to climb up and release her from the slime. If she couldn't find a way up though, she would be forced to wait until the slime was done and let Kaei down, and would be very angry that she couldn't help her friend down, she'd also try to stab the thing as it fled after that too in that case.

As they climbed higher into another tree they heard a strange metallic noise, which got louder as they got closer to the treeline. "I wonder what that sound is Kaei? Let's check it out," Shiori said to her friend, or as she called Kaei earlier, her new mate.

The sound surprisingly seemed to be coming from underneath them, Kaei hung herself upside down from the branch to see who it was, her response seemed to be intrigue "Woaah....come and look at this Shiori!" she said, pulling herself back up.

When Kaei went over to check and look at what was causing the sound they kept hearing, Shiori followed her when she called out for her to come look. "What is it Kaei? Let me see," Shiori said to her friend, moving to get into a position to look at what Kaei was wanting her to see.

What shiori saw was strange and familiar, she saw mechanical tendrils hanging from the branch, however they were connected to a hanging woman, who noticed Shiori and smiled, waving at her.

Shiori held her hand out once she'd steadied herself, offering it to shake hands with the girl if she wished.
