Hey everyone! We've got tons of fresh updates on Souper Game, and we can't wait to share them with you!
First off, we’ve finally completed the third prototype of the demo, and it’s now fully playable. The difficulty balance is all set, with just a few minor tweaks left. In total, we’ve identified and nearly fixed 119 bugs. The game will soon be ready for the first closed tests—we’re so excited!

Another cool update: the main room has finally come to life—now all animations and sounds are working, and you can interact with almost every object! The immersion is going to be top-notch.

The story is progressing as well: all the demo texts have been translated into English and are already in the game. We’ve spent a lot of time on the dialogues to make every character more unique and expressive. We hope you’ll love how they interact!

There’s progress on the sound front too—all UI sounds are done, and we’ve finished the audio for the story scenes. We just need to add sounds for the minigames and a couple of missing ones. Plus, the music is fully integrated into the demo, so the soundtrack is ready to shine.

Stay tuned—there’s a lot more exciting stuff coming soon!

The updated demo of Souper Game is now available on Steam!

We’ve listened closely to your feedback and improved everything we could to make the game even more fun and enjoyable.

For those who tried the previous version on Itch, here’s what’s new in this update:

What’s New?
- The Troll comes with surprises: not only does he eat your soup, but he also brings unexpected twists every time. Losing is no longer such a bummer!
- Clicking with the spacebar? Easy! You can now click with your mouse or use the spacebar to attack enemies and progress through dialogues.
- Heart tutorial: Sylvie will teach you how to spend this important resource effectively.
- Convenience for everyone: adjustable dialogue window sizes, perfect for those playing on mobile devices.
- Progress bar: now you can clearly see how much is left until your next upgrade. No more guesswork!
- The Troll arrives earlier after Level 5: saving you time with less waiting and more action.
- The boss has moved to the end of Level 19: ready to surprise you from a new position.
- Boss animation: starting at Level 16, the boss will tease you with what's to come at Level 19. Two phases, maximum tension!
- Effects and hints: the mechanics of items and enemies are now easier to understand with visual hints.
