While Rosieta collected herself, Adelle quickly switched to attack mode as the activated sentry reached for the maid. Even with the relative silence and her being unnoticed initially, the busty girl found herself being pushed back as she leaped into the fray. The jumping attack was stumped rather harshly as the straw sentry did an unexpected 90-degree turn towards her while she was still in the air, it's attention turning to her as soon as she came closer than the maid was. Despite the lack of weight it possessed, the animated straw was still somehow able to push the heavier girl back, three of the four limbs grabbing onto her in a few different places as her back was pushed against the wall she had just bounced from. The composite straw appeared to be far more numerous than it actually looked like, coils of the material growing out from the host body as Adelle spent a second or so recovering from the impact, her feet remaining a couple of inches off the ground. The growing straw wrapped around the huntress' limbs and torso a few times, not really restricting her yet, but if given enough time to cover and coil onto her in a manner that would certainly make it harder or impossible to do anything. Like a great deal of things she had encountered, it looked as if this thing was looking to incapacitate and capture her for some nefarious purpose.

Moving in, Adelle did her move, but the straw sentry was ready for her apparently, despite the fact she was as silent as she was in the process. Grunting as she was knocked against the wall, Adelle nearly dropped her sword as she hit, where the thing held her firmly in place against the wall a couple of inches off the floor. Adelle felt the thing trying to incapacitate her and knock her out of the fight by coiling its straw self around her body and arms, but she didn't stop struggling and started hacking at the limbs that were holding her.

"Dammit, I got such shitty luck, and have ever since I started this kind of work," Adelle mumbled angrily as she tried to cut herself loose, not wanting to know what would happen should they be defeated.

Even in her current disadvantaged position, Adelle had the strength and willpower to overcome her opponent and hack at them with adequate force to get released, nearly severing the arm that was clamped onto her own. Even with the hit it had been subjected to, that particular limb still held onto her tenaciously. While this had happened, Rosieta had finally gotten herself into the fray, coming to throw her weight in with her long trench knife prepared. Having seen the earlier blow, the maid cut into the same limb that the busty girl had, severing it completely this time. But even when separated, the limb held on and started to break down into further straw strands that worked their way onto Adelle's arm to increase the amount of straw on her.

For all the abuse it had taken, the animate sentry appeared to be taking it in stride. With Rosieta now in the picture again, it appeared to share some attention to the maid as well, a loud puff of air pushing the maid back and nearly knocking her down onto her back. Thankfully it did not have as much success with grabbing Adelle again, though the busty girl could see the severed limb starting to reform in a rapid rate.

Her slash managed to cut the straw sentry's arm a good bit, though it was still attached a little bit to her. Rosieta though was quick on the uptake and scrambled back to her feet and slashed it with her big knife, cutting the busty girl free, where she landed on her feet as her breasts bounced and jiggled under her shirt. Adelle figured the best thing to do was press their attack so they could take the thing down, especially after she saw it regenerating its lost limbs while the straw on her was trying to wiggle around enough to stop her arm from moving around.

Brushing the strands of straw off, Adelle then swung her blade at the thing again, trying to slice into its neck and sever its head, where she hoped it would go down permanently. if it didn't, then she would stab at the center of the thing, hoping that it had some sort of core that would be damaged by her attack and destroyed in the process, should its head not be its weak point.

The quick brush was of no use against the the clingy straw, which stubbornly remained stuck on Adelle's arm, probably having some magical properties from the host creature. There was still no immediate harm from it, so the blue-haired girl could go on doing her things without any hampering right then. The first swing she aimed at the creature's head went wide as the thing folded it's upper body backward in a sharp and steeply angled motion to avoid the strike, the second one getting intercepted as the sentry grabbed the huntress again, doing the very same thing it had done once before and slamming her back to the wall. Again, she was taken off the ground, and like before the hit almost separated her from the blade she wielded as she had to maintain her grip in the face of the force that was directed at her. The limbs that held Adelle to the wall started to shed off some more straw as well, though it was her sword arm that received it instead of the other one this time around. Still, a bunch of it was added to the left leg and around her waist, making those areas further covered in the stuff. The coils that were around her waist were starting to reach out to the other parts, probably seeking to establish connection and act like a bizarre restraining device. The busty girl would probably need to make careful movements in order to keep the two from connecting too firmly or she might end up being unable to use her other arm.

But much like before, Rosieta was there to grant a relief from the tense situation with a quick double slash at the head that Adelle too had been seeking to hit. The head dropped as a result, but the creature still moved and the straw clung onto the busty girl, though she was once again dropped back to her feet and allowed more freedom than the grapple would allow.

Watching the thing's head bend backwards to avoid her slash at it, Adelle couldn't help but admire the flexibility of the animated straw man, then again though it was just straw, so she probably shouldn't have been quite that surprised at it. When she pulled her arm back and made her stab at the thing's center mass, it managed to grab her once more, where she left out a grunt as it slammed her back into the wall, the breath knocked out of her slightly. She struggled against it as the thing began wrapping her sword arm with straw to prevent her from using it again and it was trying to wrap around her firmly in other places as well.

"Damn, can't let it connect together, else it'll probably tie my hands up behind me or something," Adelle said to herself, looking down at her leg and waist as Rosieta attacked again and forced it to release Adelle once more as its head dropped off.

Adelle slid her blade down around the straw that was around her leg and ripped it off of her as best she could, taking care not to slice her leg open in the process of course as well. Once she'd done that, or tried to at least, Adelle brought her blade up and slashed straight down through the thing from its head all the way to its bottom, hoping that would end it before it wrapped around her too firmly.

Even with it's head lost, the sentry kept on coming and regenerating, the lost head too starting to reform in short order as more and more straw kept on sprouting from the body. Getting rid of the straw was probably a good idea as it kept on going even without any direct contact and enabled the host to operate without needing to guide it, but it proved to be difficult as well since Adelle actually had to bring her arm closer to the body in order to get the blade pointed towards the straw. This gave the clingy straw on her waist an opportunity to reach out and establish a connection with the strands on her sword arm, and the two did exactly that as they hooked and coiled into each other to from primitive rope connections. The situation was still not lost in any sense, but now the busty girl would have to fight against the straw ropes as they aimed to pin her sword arm to her side. Rosieta switched target on the creature after seeing the decapitation being practically ineffective, slashing at the torso of sentry instead as it was probably the last place for them to look for a weak point in the apparently indestructible creature. A lump of the straw was cut off, both of the girls catching a glimpse of some form of glass or crystal ball with a plain metal crucifix inside nestled among the straw that formed the torso. That was probably what they had to aim at.

The sentry itself remained oblivious to the potential threat to it's existence, being far too focused on doing it's job to take any real defense. The focus remained on Adelle of course as she was in a bind already, and the slightly bent-over posture of the busty girl allowed the creature to clamp it's hands right onto her head and pick her up again. The situation was starting to look grim again as the straw coils started winding around her head, possibly seeking to blind and/or gag her to make it even harder for her to do anything. And if that was not bad enough, there was another one of the things coming towards them in the distance. It was not sure if it was aware, but the route it was taking would certainly lead into the ongoing fray.

The damn thing simply kept regenerating it seemed no matter how much Rosieta hacked away at it. Things got even worse for her as its head came back into existence while Adelle got as much of the straw off of her as possible, when the strands around her waist coiled around and connected to the ones on her arm, where it began trying to bind her sword arm to her side like a rope. As it did this though, Rosieta attacked again, this time at its torso, where Adelle caught the glimpse at its interior and noticed what could only be its source of power.

She didn't have a whole lot of time to act though as she was being forced to bend over slightly, her breasts hanging down and jiggling back and forth while she struggled to get free, as the creature grabbed her head and began wrapping her head with straw. This blocked her sight somewhat, and she feared that it would begin trying to gag and or choke her, or possibly smother her instead. She knew though that her best chance would be for her and Rosieta to hit that strange looking thing inside of it, especially after she noticed the other sentry coming down the hall towards them.

"Rosie... go for it, I'll keep it busy on me," Adelle said in a low voice, reaching out with her free arm and trying to grab at one of the straw man's arms while kicking her leg out to maybe try and knock the thing out completely or closer to Rosieta at least, and hoping that Rosieta had seen the thing too.

Going into a desperation plan, Adelle actually grabbed onto the straw sentry and flailed her foot towards the glass orb that she had caught in her vision before. The kick connected pretty solidly and she could hear a cracking sound go off, confirming that she had caused some damage with the hit. The impact also set her free again as the sentry dropped her back down, actually looking like it was affected by the hit this time instead of taking the punishment without any reaction. This also prevented any further straw from getting onto her face, but now her sword arm was helplessly pinned against her side and would likely require either destroying the sentry or someone else carefully cutting the straw to release the hold. Rosieta was not quite as successful, the hit waking the sentry up enough to cause some actual defensive maneuvers as it shifted position away from the incoming slash, one that the maid was trying deliver with the blunt edge of her knife. Again, the sentry showed some remarkable bending ability, folding it's upper body in another 90-degree move to avoid the knife, following it up by flipping over to a headstand, though it was not too much of a hassle to something like it. Switching attention to Rosieta, it reached towards her with it's "legs", but was outmaneuvered by the relatively fresh maid who had managed to avoid the need for any real struggle up to that point.

While it had not looked obvious before, the fact that they had been noticed by the second sentry down the hall was now clear as day. The newcomer would be upon them in seconds, and the current positions they were in would likely leave Rosieta in the middle of two sentries.

Adelle felt her foot connect with the glassy orb inside the thing, where she heard and felt it crack a bit from the blow. Her attack she noticed seemed to loosen the straw man's hold on her head, keeping more straw from getting around her for the moment. She tried to bring her sword up to finish the thing off only to find it was now totally pinned against her side, pretty much useless now. Standing there as the second sentry closed in on their position, Adelle grit her teeth a bit as she tried to help Rosieta to finish off the first one before the second sentry got in there too, as she doubted that Rosieta could handle 2 of them together.

Adelle decided to try a desperation attack on the thing and dove at it, hoping to pin it to the wall so Rosieta could take it out, where she hoped that the straw pinning her sword arm to her side would release her so she could use it once more for when the other sentry got to them, as she knew they'd have to fight it too now that it'd seen them. "Come on Rosie, get this bastard," Adelle said, her voice likely a bit muffled from the straw as she slammed her shoulder into the thing to pin it to the wall and hopefully leave the orb open to attack by the maid.

With increasing desperation guiding her actions, Adelle grabbed onto the sentry, using her weight to spin in place and push it against the wall. The move was successful enough to allow her to avoid any further straw sticking on, even as the thing grabbed her back with all of it's limbs. The opening was solid enough for Rosieta to take advantage of, and the maid thrust her knife through the crack in the glass ball, pushing the crucifix out from there and into the wall behind, applying enough force into the other end of the blade to pierce and break the cross with the tip of of the knife. That move was the final hit needed, and the sentry went limp as it started to break down into an inanimate bundle of straw.

But this was not the end to their predicament though, the destruction of the first sentry barely happening before the other one boosted into the melee, slamming into Rosieta's back and pushing her straight into Adelle, the pair getting squished against the wall as it sandwiched them into it. The creature grabbed the wall instead of the girls themselves with all of it's limbs to keep them stuck there, the slight upward push almost forcing the maid face-first into Adelle's chest. To make things worse, the clingy straw started coming again, now onto both of them at once. And the stuff that was already on the busty girl was not relenting, the new sentry apparently providing it with the ability to move and remain as strong as before.

As she slammed her shoulder into the thing, she managed to have success as she pinned it to the wall enough to allow Rosieta to hit the glassy core that animated the straw creature. Adelle breathed a small sigh of relief as the straw began to fall apart, but it was cut short as Rosieta was slammed in the back and pushed directly into Adelle, where it sandwiched the two of them together against the wall. Adelle let out a grunt as the wind was knocked out of her, where she began trying to maneuver her still freed arm loose to as the thing grabbed the wall to pin them, which was working pretty well. She'd hoped that the straw would fall off once the first creature was dead and gone, but alas she thought wrong.

"Oof, dammit... h-hey, watch where you're nose is pressing Rosie. I'm gonna try and... shift around... so you can... ngh... get loose," Adelle said as Rosieta's face was pressed right into the her cleavage, where during their wriggling around with Rosieta's skin rubbing against her own, Adelle's nipples began perking up from the rubbing against her breasts despite the situation and without her wanting them to. She began trying to shift around to give Rosieta the chance to slip free, as Adelle would likely be unable do much herself against the thing.

Adelle could hear Rosieta grumble something in Spanish as the two were squished together, probably something that was better left untranslated if the tone was of any indication. The shifting around gave the maid a good enough window to move, and she did exactly that, though not in the way that the busty girl would probably have expected. Not going the easy way and simply ducking under the limbs, the maid dropped down by spreading her legs into sideways splits, simultaneously drawing out her 1911 from it's holster. Leaning a little ways back, she quite literally stuck the barrel of the classic semi-auto up the sentry's ass and firing all seven shots of .45 up towards the core in the torso. The fusillade managed the knock the sentry out right away, the second one falling quite a lot easier now that the two knew what to do with it.

"That was a bunch of bullshit... where do they come up with these creatures..." Rosieta pondered aloud as she came back up to her feet by practically going through the same process in reverse, getting some help by pushing herself up with her hands on the ground. She started to quickly reload her mag, though Adelle knew that the maid most likely had another 1911 strapped in some spot of her body. The straw was no longer doing anything with the two sentries gone, and the busty girl found that she could get free from the arm binding with a light pull, though the rest of it still remained and would need to be ripped off. Even so, it was back to the normal consistency of dried straw, so there was no real fight to be had with it.

Hearing Rosieta's mumbling something that she didn't quite understand because it was in Spanish, Adelle shifted her body weight, which caused her breasts to wobble as they mushed together in Rosieta's face a bit. Thankfully though this didn't distract her any and she then did the splits, where she slid down and pulled her pistol out and firing the whole magazine into the creature's underside as she leaned back once down on the floor. She seemed to have struck the orb with a bullet as the thing fell dead to the side moments later Adelle saw.

"Hell I dunno. I've encountered some strange shit since I came here myself. Not just in that factory we went to before, but I've also had a ghost haunt me through town, among other things," Adelle said, grunting a bit as she got her arm loose once again and began getting free from the straw, brushing it off of her body and picking out a few pieces in her hair and some that was caught in her cleavage.

Once she had all of the straw off of her, Adelle looked around and sighed. "Well I guess whoever or whatever else is down here knows we're here now. Best to get a move on before something else comes along and catches us in such a narrow corridor like this," Adelle said as she finished getting the straw off of her, leading the way on down the path they'd been on until the fight.

Rosieta seemed to agree with the idea of pressing forward, though she stated it was more out of concern towards the other two sentries coming after them if they investigated sounds, and the racket that the maid had caused with her pistol would not have gone unnoticed. Since they agreed so readily, the pair made good of the idea and headed forward to the direction that was yet unexplored.

The corridor did not really change size as it went onward, but after some way further in, there was a turn. In addition, the concrete from the floor was missing as they approached the turn, only the usual city dirt making up for the path from that point onward. A thin sheet of water, about two inches, covered the dirt as well, making for a rather curious path.

Nodding in agreement with Rosieta on the matter of possibly the other sentries coming along, Adelle moved on with her companion to try and get away from this area at least before something else came along and started a fight. When they got to the next turn in the corridor, Adelle heard a small splash and looked down to see they were no longer walking on the concrete floor from before and she was standing in a couple of inches of muddy water as it had transitioned from concrete to dirt.

"Huh... guess we're a ways away from under the church now. Let's be careful, dunno what might try and creep up on us in this water Rosie," Adelle said as she led the way into the watery area, her blade out in front of her as she stepped as lightly as she could in the water to keep it from splashing too much so they could hear anything trying to sneak up on them.

The two went onward despite the water and dirt being there, the space behind the corner not really revealing any danger, but the corridor kept going after the turn for some distance. Another corner going the opposite way was waiting at the end of this stretch, not really giving them much in the way of options as it was the only way forward. Going forward was easy, though it was a little bit slow when the two were trying to keep the noises and splashes to a minimum.

Then, a rather wet surprise disturbed the advance as a large glob of sloppy mud landed squarely on Adelle's head, instantly causing a huge mess as it splattered all over her and even caused some of the splash to hit Rosieta. The stuff was heavy and bothersome with this much volume, and just might affect guns if it got too badly into them. The suspect who had tossed the lump was behind the pair, advancing upon them in a ponderous pace. It was another bizarre creation of natural material, a large, vaguely humanoid blob of the same mud that was all over the busty girl. It's features shifted and flowed as it was partially liquid, the face made from a few deeper sockets that imitated eyes and a mouth. Somehow, it had sneaked behind them, most likely having some form of unnatural movement that allowed it to hide and move in the dirt under the water. Even so, it had done a remarkably good job at keeping itself from making any sounds to alert the two.

Moving along into the watery tunnel, Adelle was starting to get a little spooked by the whole dark dank tunnel that apparently was used by people who conjured up magical beings of some sort. While moving along, the going a bit slow thanks to them trying to be quiet and all, Adelle suddenly felt something wet land square on her head with a splat. Finding that it was mud that landed on her, the busty girl groaned a bit as she wiped off a small glob of the stuff and tossing it aside.

"Eww dammit, where did that mud come from?" Adelle said, looking up at the ceiling and finding nothing there.

Hunching her shoulders a bit from the weight of the mud, Adelle immediately began throwing any of it off of her guns first, knowing that any amount of mud would probably hinder their abilities to actually work if she needed them to. Looking back though, Adelle saw what had dropped the mud on her and her eyes widened a bit as she let out a gasp, her arms flailing to throw as much of the mud stuff off of her before the mud slime thing managed to get to them. "I dunno if bullets are gonna work on this thing Rosie, but you're welcome to try if you want," Adelle said as she threw as much more of the mud off as possible before raising her blade to fight.

The mud creature came for them even as it was facing blades, which both of the girls were brandishing against it as Rosie got her trench knife out again. They attacked from both sides in unison, each of them peeling a slice of the flowing mud off from the creature, which did not appear to cause much damage as new mud simply rolled over the bits that had been removed. Even so, the creature did lose a little bit of mass in the process.

Giving some love back for the cuts it had received, the mud golem raised one sloppy arm high before bringing it back down on Adelle, the sheer weight of the mud slamming her down to the floor right away. She was pushed down to the ground in an effort to keep her down, most of the weight right on her back as the mud flowed all over her body. Thankfully she had enough freedom to keep her head raised enough to avoid any risks that came from the watery floor, but it would probably take some serious struggling to get up properly again.

Moving around, Adelle went to the opposite side of Rosieta and slashed the muddy creature, where she and Rosieta both managed to slice off a bit of the thing. Adelle saw that the mud creature was regenerating the pieces they'd cut off, but that while it had regenerating it did shrink a bit. As Adelle stepped back after the attack, the mud creature slammed a large muddy appendage down onto her shoulders.

"Oof, f-fuck me. J-Jeez this thing is heavy as hell," Adelle grunted as she hit the floor, her breasts and shirt getting totally soaked, which weighed her down even more.

Adelle wasn't sure if she actually could get up with the heavy weight of this thing on her, as she could only just keep her head above the water. Adelle began trying to climb up, pushing her shoulders against the parts holding her down and stabbing at them too in hopes of forcing the thing to release her so she could get up properly again.
