Well, it's been a little bit since the 2nd one, but it's looking like the 3rd entry to the Forest of the Abyss series is coming along nicely. Here's SweetSprite's ci-en.

AND, here's the post with the English translation patch. Seems it'll be likely we'll get an English patch when the game comes out? We eventually got one for the second game, so here's hoping.

They've actually talked about it on their ci-en multiple times recently, and I was a bit surprised no one made a thread for it, even mention it in the thread for the 2nd game. But yeah, right now, there's just a demo which is about an hour or two. There's only two bad end scenes, both with in-battle restraints. One's vore with a worm, and the other's tentacles with a mimic, apparently. One's in the forest that is part of the main quest, and the other is in a side forest that you'll be directed to after completing the main objective (or wandering around and finding out you're underleveled for it). Other than those two, I'm unsure what else will be in the full release, but I applied the tags that fit with the 2nd entry in the title just to be safe. When the full game comes out, I'll try to adjust those when I know what more is there.
But yeah, game plays like a normal RPG maker game, though it seems it's a bit more mainstreamed this time. There's a difficulty option, and after all battles, you regain full HP and MP. While manual saving is restricted to specific statues in the world, the game will autosave frequently. It also appears that there will be some big changes from the demo and the full release. I'd suggest checking out the (only) town, as the NPCs break the 4th wall a little bit, and the dev even talks through the NPCs about varying things. It's pretty cool. Though I did learn that they plan for this game to be their last game that they make. But it seems they're putting a ton of effort into this one, if the scenes are anything to go by. The banner DOES say the end of March, but I think I read in their most recent post that they're gonna delay the game a bit longer, though I didn't see to when.
