For unknown motives he has deleted his many threads and posts. Please, if someone know the exact reason of this, please inform us. Meanwhile, if anyone is interested in recover the links from him and his work, we could find the way. But before try this i need to know how much people is interested and if Rrezz would be against this.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

I actually would love if someone can recover some of his partial (mainly the new oneone1 game if thats okay with him), is it possible if he got a warning from some dev for making a partial/translating a game?

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

My only guess is that he was pissed because I uploaded a partial translation for
RJ187698 - Kanade ~ Part-time Job Life.

I posted the translation once I was finished in the thread for the game and he obviously got pissed because he thinks he's the only one entitled to do a partial translation for that game.

He then deleted the whole thread where I posted my translation of that game and obviously after that, he deleted every thread for partials he has worked on.

I already mentioned this on this post so if you're really that interested you can go and read there.

Speaking of missing persons, hyperk2 is missing tooo.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

Rrezz being okay with someone else's translations really isn't a factor here, he has no place to claim some sort of monopoly on translating games and no one owes him anything if they want to make their own translations. It's extremely selfish to think that just because you did something first other people have no right or place to do the same.

This situation is actually just Graciel all over again, someone being absurdly possessive about their activities on UMLF and tearing down entire threads that they honestly don't "own" just because someone else dared to contribute a link. To delete entire threads is ridiculous.

Rrezz's intolerance and selfishness here isn't something I can sympathize with, while his endeavors and contributions will be missed that's no reason to act as if what he did wasn't ridiculous, childish, and pitiable.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

@chiakisan

That's your opinion.

Like I said before, no one has/or should have the sole rights to do a partial for a game. Me doing my version doesn't invalidate his work whatsoever. He can/could have still finished his partial and posted it.

As for the discussion you claim I had with him, I don't even remember having a discussion with him over that. I don't even know the guy and I don't see any reason why should I care about someone's feelings on a forum with porn games.

What are you even talking about here? You're seriously gonna tell me that on a porn forum/internet I should care if someone else is doing a partial for a game?

I do partials for myself because I like playing when a game is translated. I started playing the game, I liked it, I translated it, I shared it. Not my problem he didn't finish his translation before that. Even if he did finish, I would still share my version of the translation and people can then choose whichever they want to play with.

I don't do partials for popularity or do it because people ask for it. I do it because I like playing a translated game and I only translate games I like.

He obviously translates games for popularity and that's probably the main reason he's pissed. Bu-hu, I won't get rep and people won't thank me because kR1pt0n1t3 posted a partial I worked on... LOL

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

These are the PM's he sent me.

His first PM after I posted my partial on the thread

Rrezz - You want it, you can have it.

If you would have asked I'd have told you I was already working on and update for KANADE and the Ecchi Worklife 1.03. Well, now its yours. Have fun with it.

My First Response (Before I knew he deleted the whole thread)

I didn't even know anyone was working on it until I already made it and wanted to post it.

By all means, if you're done with it, post it.

I started playing it two days ago and made the partial in few hours. Sry if I offended you in any way. I just wanted to share with people partial after I finished doing it.

The message I send him after I saw him delete the whole thread:

You deleted the whole thread because I uploaded a partial. If you wanted to make the partial, you would've done it a long time ago. I did the whole partial in about 6 hours and that's because some things were really hard to find.

Anyhow, have fun you douche.

His response:

Rrezz
You're the boss, boss.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

As an outsider, aka person who isn't to invested in forum drama, I feel compelled to add a response aswell.

I do not feel kR1pt0n1t3 was in the wrong in any kind of way. Anyone and everyone should be allowed to translate games, that's a given.
The translations are more often than not an act of generosity, an act which lets us plebbs enjoy the games.
Everyone should be allowed and encouraged to contribute imo. More people contributing = more competition = better/faster translations.

As a finisher, I just want to send out my heartfelt thanks to all of you translaters out there.
I really appreciate what you do for the community and I'd like to think that I never take anything you do for granted!
Looking forward to seeing more of your work :eek:

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

How adult of Rrezz to to have a quarrel with ONE individual and take it out on the whole community.

Bravo Rrezz, bravo.

Anyways from what I remember of him he was always saying "I will full translate this or that" making threads and never ever finishing them, in the end just being another partial. This is counterproductive, if you know you will only do a partial say so, don't go off in your world saying youre doing a full when you are not.

I appreciate the work on partials but maybe with him gone, translators actually willing to fully translate a game will not have to worry about "hurting his feelings" and passing on good games translations that he said he was working on (and never doing).

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

I'm still here. I just want to start off by saying I'm sorry to kR1pt0n1t3 and all of you. kR1pt0n1t3's not at fault here, I am. He had no way of knowing I was still working on an update for Netorare Kanade. He had no reason to believe that the project was anything but abandoned.
Right now I've got a lot of irl stuff going on, and its got me really stressed out. As a result I way overreacted and did something stupid.
I can't undo what I did, but in my signature I've returned all my completed partials. I promise they won't go away. I also uploaded some incomplete partials I've done, and some partials for games I've worked on, but never released. I either didn't release them because I was unsatisfied with them, or I forgot to.
Either way, this is all on me. I acted like an ass and you all had to pay for my stupidity.
I probably wont be active on this site anymore, and I more than likely wont be working on anymore partials.
Again, I'm sorry.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

I must say that was a very mature apology, and I do hope you the best in the future. Thinking back, one of the reasons I started really enjoying translated games was your (unfortunately) unfinished full translation of Bounty Hunter 2. I was just starting to appreciate how full some of these games could be, and how fun. I hope you do know that the work you do was appreciated, and I hope that RL treats you better moving forward...

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

Just so you guys know, I can bring back the threads he deleted, if you all want me to. I'll have to do them all soon though, as I think the time limit for that is only like... 30 days. So if anyone wants to continue any of the works he had been doing, or anything.

If you could I'd really appreciate it. I don't want my moment of stupidity to affect everyone.
Also, sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

It's no problem. Shall have them back up as soon as I can. I've honestly never undeleted a thread before, so dunno how long it'll take for them all. Were they all in the translations section?

EDIT: Oh wow, that was a lot easier than I thought it'd be. I just went to your profile, selected all threads created by you, and undeleted them all with a simple click. They should all be back up now, for anyone that wants to check them all out again. Might have to go through a few pages to find them though.

Awesome, thank you. Is it possible to also do that with posts? Cause I kind of deleted 450+ posts as well :(
Again, sorry. Kind of had a moment of stupidity...

Man, way to be a sexy futanari mindflayer and save the day. <3

Re: The Great Mystery of missing Rrezz's works

Yes, it is possible to do that, Rrezz, I can go through I think, and undelete all of your posts if you'd like.

EDIT: There we go, they should all be undeleted. Might wanna check and see if there's any missing of course, but I basically did the same thing as before, with your threads you'd created, just with posts this time, though I had to go through each page of your posts, so it took a few minutes.

=.=...

Seriously.

Like, dude... You can't just quit your rage-quit like that, man!! No. That's just wrong Dx .....Gaaah, I even typed this up just for the occasion!!
Problem Elaboration (Simple): %Happiness ≈ (-1)standards(conditional_count)
I have some spare time tonight, I'd like to jump in!

What determines who's right and who's wrong is, of course, subjective, but can be decided democratically here among relative equals.

I'm led to believe that the general consensus is that the ones in the right are the ones that allow for mutual/harmonious happiness, whereas those that take away from the others's happiness generally lie in the wrong.

Generally speaking, I see Life as a PvP game with 2 objectives:
1. Attaining as much %Gross_Happiness as possible (from %Happiness/time)
2. Dying with both %Gross_Happiness > X and %Recent_Happiness > 0, where X is the relative standard which the individual aggregates from peers who he/she compares/measures him/herself to.

In the situation pertaining to fan translations, what I see is:

everybody@here == Happy IF:
>>every_game_translated == true AND translations@here == true AND translations_free? == TRUE

translator.Rrezz == Happy IF:
>>unofficial_game_translation_rights_claimed == true AND unofficial_game_translation_rights_claimed == true AND contributions.self*user_appreciation >= 1

translator.kR1pt0n1t3 == Happy if:
>>contributions.self >= 1

random_hero.chiakisan.%Happiness == resource.number_of_translators

freeloader.SFrame == Happy if:
>>contributions.self*user_appreciation >= 1 AND experimental_program.Happiness == program.How_Happiness_Really_Works

The less conditions one has in order to be Happy, the more likely one is to be Happy, generally speaking. However, each condition has its own certainty/uncertainty of its own.

From the bullshit I just listed, this would be how likely each are to attain happiness (disregarding the Time denominator, because I'm hungry and this stopped being fun real fast):
1. translator.kR1pt0n1t3
2. random_hero.chiakisan
3. translator.Rrezz
4. freeloader.SFrame
5. everybody@here

Of course, nobody here's feeling particularly happy on the topic...
...But what I'd like to point out is that $skill.Good_Communication is incredibly useful in keeping others (and likely oneself) happy by minimizing happiness decrements (e.g. negative misunderstandings). It's like $skill.Tax_Accounting - you get to keep more in your pocket.

The point of my nonsense is that I'm here to make myself happy, and I happen to be happier when I'm happy with other happy-but-not-gay people ("gay" as in "socially retarded", not homosexual; I'm super cool with homosexuals so long as they don't dick me). And when I get more porn.

Likewise, you're probably all here mainly in search of epic fap material - to make yourselves happy. With your own hands. For the most part. With the help of our translators. Hope they washed theirs.

Contributors like Rrezz, kR1pt0n1t3, and many others help interpret or provide such sinful goodness that would otherwise be unfathomable or unobtainable - which I like to think is in hopes of motivating others to do so as well, be it through gratitude for the community, or prospects of attaining similar social status and respect. In that way, our Translators are our catalysts. This is all my opinion, of course (since I personally started fan translating in part to give thanks to folks like them, and the perhaps the game authors).

The thing is with contributors is that they put themselves out there (as one other here already said) to bring you your happiness - and when their attempts at contributing is rebuked, or when disrespect is given where respect was expected, they lose a lot of happiness. It's a risk they're taking. And it happens between co-contributors too.

But so long as their motives align (with a positive correlation, that is), the solution is simply $skill.Good_Communication. #Get_Gud.

Also, my math sucks.

Problem Elaboration (Detailed): Time is the Enemy, not her dad.

It's Time that stands between us and that pussy. It's Time that will rot your balls and sag her bags. It's Time that will cockblock you from 99.9% of the vagina out there until Death finds you. And it's Time that keeps my dick from my hand. Not for long though. I can feel it in my balls.

But in this case.... It's Time that caused some of our own to be falsely seen as the enemy. If only Time would be less stingy, we could all be a little happier.

The issue with $skill.Good_Communication is that it has a cast time - like all things in life; life your girlfriend's indefinitely pending orgasm. Not everybody can be arsed with that bullshit - not everybody wants to be arsed to spend the time and effort to tread carefully around everybody else's sensitivities, or the care of how it feels from the other side. It's especially so for our translators, who've spent their precious time instead on providing content. Some, as you've seen, only have the time to drop a quick share of their personal works. Let's face it - only a very small percentage of us actually reads a whole thread these days, unless there's have something we're desperately looking for.

And so sometimes we take shortcuts, and we cut others short of the respect they deserve.

If we are to blame anything, blame $resource.Time - for not being there when we need it. kR1pt0n1t3's just here for the same reason we are. Rrezz as well. It's all in our own self-interest: Happiness.

It's simply more time-efficient to just worry about yourself - you'll be happier caring less about the consequences. However, when you take shortcuts in $Battle_Scene/Communication, you lose potential profits. Sure, it's a community loss. But it's often also a personal loss. Losing somebody willing to work or share for free? Burning bridges that potentially maintain themselves? Even if they aren't of use to you, they're of use to others - other whom may be of use to you. Well, some of us have accepted the risks; accepted the potential loses. This is why we have Black Friday sales. I didn't get shit this year.

Simply understand what's happening - disrespect that comes with rude or careless behavior is usually unintentional. I've offended my fair share from lazy word choice. $resource.Time constraints result in faulty decisions, erroneous thought patterns, and the need for shortcuts - that's how it is for everybody - like you.

And when rude behavior is intentional, such as with trolls, they're doing it because that's their way of pursuing happiness. I personally believe that one has no right to deny another's happiness - but only the right to defend one's own happiness (or another's) from being taken. If you don't see it as offensive, but rather a course of action as arbitrary as 1+2=3, nobody can take your Happiness. Instead, let the knowledge of the social universe bring you pride; that in itself will bring you Happiness. I swear I'm not high.

So what do you do in response? Nothing.

Do not waste time; do not waver from your path.

CKMyKTN.gif

Simply proceed in following what you believe in - what you believe that's right; what you believe that will bring all the 2D girls in the yard to speak English. This is why I'm still on the same project after a full year. Hazukashii desu. Hontoni (/__).

I can translate stuff myself, as I prefer reading in English than Japanese, but my time is precious as well. It takes well over several thousand times longer for me to translate a game than for me to download somebody else's translation. So for anybody here to translate in my stead is a favor to me. We just lose that time-efficiency when we don't communicate. Ergo - to maintain time-efficiency.... "Happiness"-efficiency.... $skill.Good_Communication is key. The one that stands on the side of maximizing happiness and prosperity is in the right.

Again, just my opinion.

Regardless of how translators resolve their quarrels, regardless of who's right or wrong - they all bring joy to our dicks (or vaginas). I have my own opinion on who's in the right, and who's in the wrong, and who's both/neither.... but that's not as important as giving thanks to them.

Alas, I'd like to say my thanks to these two translators - regardless of what's to come or where they go: Thank you for your service. Thank you for not building a paywall. Thank you for Hillary 2016. Oh wait. Didn't vote; #NoRegrets.
