The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

-> Enigma

Auralice smirks at Enigma's remark, as she apparently didn't find the idea completely revolting. She lifts the elf up and places her on her back, slithering out of the boutique.
"So, any wishes on where to go next? I'm all out of ideas at the moment."

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

"A place to read perhaps, that or a simple stroll. Something to ease my mind before our 'generous' host decides I should participate in not two games, but three in a row."

Not opposed to the offer of a free means of travel, Enigma opts to make herself "comfortable" as can be for now on the Naga's back, as well as she could. After all, prejudice was a poor thing to maintain, at least when it comes to accepting things beneficial to her.

"Hm, I've never been much of a reader, a trip around the surroundings could be good though, maybe we'll meet someone who's open for some... fun"
Auralice does so and slithers off to scout out previously unvisited areas.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

For a while, Enigma would opt to say nothing on their trip, choosing to simply "lay back" (either in a figurative or actual manner)...mostly as for a while, she believed it best to simply let the Naga upon which she rode to explore for herself...perhaps in hopes that the snake would find something of...interest, to both herself and a inquisitive necromancer. After a relatively fruitless stretch as to that effect though...it would be then that the elf opts to pipe up, once again...so as to offer a "suggestion".

"So if I'm correct...you seem to have a taste for the more...promiscuous things, no?... If so, rather than wandering about endlessly, I could perhaps offer a suggestion as to an...interesting place to go."

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Auralice's search around the island resulting in nothing but getting her passenger restless, the necromancer conveys an interesting offer.
"Well it certainly can't be any worse than getting sand stuck in my scales, care to explain more?"

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Her face hidden from Auralice's view due to her present location, a faint smile would begin to etch itself upon Enigma's visage as she began her proposition.

"As you may be aware, there are many...unique places on this island. Unique places that serve to all different kinds of needs. If you would care for it...I know of a special place that may satisfy that little desire of yours, make you lose yourself in it perhaps. Interested?"

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

"Sure, I'm getting tired of slithering around aimlessly anyways, and the sun's starting to irritate my eyes."
Agreeing with Enigma's offer, Auralice would follow her passenger's instructions on finding this mysterious place.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Guiding Auralice along, Enigma would opt to lead the naga to a rather...secluded area of the beach, one where the otherwise hot sand, inexplicitly became cold to touch, and for some reason, and a dark grey that seemed to almost devour the sunlight, despite it being early in the day. There, amidst the strange environment, would be suspended what appeared to be a purple "window" of sorts, hanging in space, comprised entirely of energy... As they arrived, it would also be then that Enigma opted to dismount from the naga, so as to offer an explanation of sorts.

"And here we are~...Beyond that portal is a space where people are able to lose themselves in their desires, should they choose. As you've been so...generous, to me in that department already, I find myself preferring to decline a visit into there at this time... but should you wish to enter~..."

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Auralice finds herself once again led through the burning hot sand and gazing sun, pondering if this idea was a good one at all, after a moment of enduring it the atmosphere suddenly becomes pleasingly cool and shady. Letting the elf dismount her she fails to notice anything nearby until Enigma points out the oddly looking portal right next to her. Auralice feeling sorry for Enigma who declines joining her inside, as she jumps through the gap, finding herself in an oddly lit room with equally strange walls.
"Is this a joke? I don't see anything desirable in here... surely she's not taunting me out there for falling for such a cheap trick"
Auralice examines the walls to try and find a hidden door of some sort as the lights suddenly start to flicker, seemingly dimming with time...

Re: The Island

"That I will. I do not consider this a vacation. Me suddenly being here is not cause to rest. I need to explore here, see what this place is all about, then move on. There is a desire within me to see all there is in the world, and this locale is not exempt from my interest." Tomoe replied, getting up as Vira moved to her tanning spot. Seeing the other girl get naked instantly set up her awkward-meter to the highest setting. Such an improper behaviour...

"Maybe we'll see other again. Goodbye for now." the miko bid farewell to the night elf, moving away from the spot and heading out to find some out-of-sight spot to possibly bathe herself in peace.

After some more time spent on travelling around the beach, the eastern warrior found herself a nicely secluded, private little lagoon among the rocky cliffs going along the coastline. Once she had made a few checks to confirm no-one else was around. Tomoe finally dared to undo her belt, letting her robe and hakama loosen. Folding up the clothes into neat pile, she followed up the undressing by unrolling her bandage-wrapped chest and taking off her extremely tiny panties. Even as she was sure that no other person was looking, it was somewhat awkward for her to go naked. Taking the bundle of equipment onto a rock near her, the miko started to have her private bath at the lagoon's shallow waters. No-one would pester her during this refreshing dip. After having soaked herself for a while, Tomoe started to swipe at her near-perfect body with her hands, to get what little dirt she had gathered off from herself.

"Oh, my apologies! I didn't know that anyone else was here." Nadia said upon spotting Tomoe, neither obviously bothered nor obviously flustered by the priestess's near nudity. Shifting awkwardly in her simple white sleeveless robe, the red-haired angel looked down at the other woman for a moment before conversationally asking; "What's your name? I am called Nadia."

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Tomoe -> Nadia

Upon seeing another person appear, Tomoe immidiately stopped her rinsing, sitting down in the water to conceal her naked form the best she could with the lagoon's water. "How did she get here....?!" the miko thought, not quite sure what to make from this winged woman. This was one of the situations she least wanted to happen, but somehow this person calmed her a bit with her calm demeanor and angelic appearance. Not getting up, she took to addressing the woman in her current seated position. "M-m-m-my name is Tomoe." the miko replied, immensely bothered by her own exposure.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Tamonten -> Enigma

"Er..." Somehow, the mention of being a heretic, the word sample, the events from the arena, and the general oddities of the elf didn't make Tamonten very comfortable with the prospect. "You can take a look if you want, I guess...just don't damage the seal." Despite the offer, her blackened arm had slowly crept back from the table, almost plastering itself to her side once it was back in 'safety.' "I kind of need the arm to remain intact too. I'm too rusty with anything but my greatsword to make due without it. It might not be the most cooperative arm but I'm kind of attached to it," she joked nervously.

Tamonten -> Anyone

Too large, too small, too crooked, Tamonten tossed another branch over her shoulder into the growing pile. It was hard enough to find any branches at all in that place, let alone one suited for her needs. Needs? Nay, her demands! After she had collected a pile of discarded wood large enough to make it seem as though she was trying to build an escape raft, the lithe woman finally found what she was looking for. A surprisingly smooth stick, the perfect length and width for her machinations, with just the slightest of upward curves. The possessed swordswoman would have taken the time to whittle it into a more appropriate shape with an easier grip but she didn't have the equipment -- or the patience, for that matter. Perfect! The pale-skinned girl mentally exclaimed with a grin, though certainly not out loud, she wouldn't want anybody to find out what she was up to with her new-found rod. With her search completed, it was time to find a more secluded spot on the beach.

She made her way onto the sand barefooted, choosing not to risk any damage to her fey garments on the trip and instead using the swimsuit provided for her. It wasn't like clothing was going to really matter anyway. Tamonten's feet tingled with the warmth and texture of the sand, which only made her grin wider as she traveled. The beach would be the perfect place for her alone time once she had found the right spot, she was proud of the idea. Indeed, it seemed her choice was approved by fate itself, as she found a nice section of the beach secluded by rocks and small cliffs. Once she was on that more private section of sand, the pale-skinned swordswoman gripped the wood in anticipation. "This is the perfect place to practice my left-handed swordsmanship!"

The pale girl was eager to start at the basics, trying to maneuver her improvised sword with some measure of the grace she could manage with her right hand. It wasn't often that she got to open a door with her left hand, let alone take up a sword with it without needing her right hand to guide it. If nothing interrupted her training, Tamonten might remain at it for the better part of a day.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Nadia -> Tomoe

Still smiling down at the woman despite her nervousness, Nadia stretched her wings and back, and then replied; "Tomoe, it's nice to meet you! I guess that you were taken here by... Whoever did this as well? Also, you don't mind if I join you down there, do you? I was just looking for a place to bathe myself. I won't peak, if it bothers you." She was utterly sincere in that promise, or at least seemed as such from her tone.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Tomoe -> Nadia

Curling herself up to cover herself as much as possible, Tomoe looked up at the woman, the second bright blush of the day already covering her cheeks. Seeing Nadia stretch, the miko was assured by her words, they seemed trustworthy to her ears. "Help yourself out if you want, I'm not one to dictate what you do. And yes, this is as sudden to me as it seems to be to you..." she replied, not having a hint about her random appearance in this hot place.

Under her politeness, the eastern warrior was going through serious awkwardness attacks. But such was her nature, and the best she could do now was to try and cover her naked form somehow while trying to keep civil with this seemingly pleasant, angelic woman.

Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)

Enigma --> Tamonten

The elf's smile seems to become more of a smirk as she notices the obvious hesitation in the white-haired warrior's...reluctance. Though rather than rise from her seat to take what she has claimed to wanted, she chooses to merely muse for a bit...as if in good humor.

"I was merely jesting dear. The facilities provided here, the seal on our abilities to improvise, would not allow me to properly examine your arm beyond what I can already see now. Even if I were to desire to remove it presently, I would lack the means to. So fear not, I have no current intention of separating you from it."

Setting her cup down and reclining a bit however, it is evident that the strange arm remains on Enigma's mind as her eyes pan over to it again still...staring at it, as if to bore holes through it with her gaze alone.

"A pity really though, given how curious I am now of its nature... I believe you mentioned a seal? Could you perhaps elaborate a bit more on that aspect of it?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enigma ---> Auralice
As the naga entered the portal, she would find her elf "companion" indeed did fail to follow her into the white room, at least...so it seemed at first. As the lights became dimmer and dimmer however, she would hear the necromancer's familiar voice from behind her...though uttering the strangest of words.
"My my? What have we here?...A serpent in a hunter's den?"
Should she turn to see, she would indeed find the said individual before her...only for some reason, a bit paler...and utterly bare of any clothing or the likes. Yet before she could respond, or take advantage of what she saw...she would hear the same voice again from behind her, then from her side...then from above even...
"A serpent indeed!~... What does the serpent seek?"
"Does the serpent seek joy?..."
"Enlightenment?..."
"Pleasure?..."
"Madness?..."
Everywhere she turned to look, more and more...clones, copies?...More..."Enigmas" seemed to be appearing out of the blue, from early corner, every shadow...each bare, and with a set of glowing red eyes, some carrying "things" , but all beginning to move upon the naga regardless. By this point in time however, the voices had begun to become synchronized, and each word spoken seemed to reverberate in the room almost...endlessly.
"All roads lead to eternity, all roads lead to madness. Tell us, serpent Auralice, what do you desire and what do you fear?"
Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)
Nadia -> Tomoe
After stretching some more as Tomoe delivered her somewhat impolite response, Nadia said; "You seem uncomfortable, Tomoe. Is something the matter? Your cheeks look like they're burning up." Nadia loosened the straps on her robe, and then allowed it to to slowly fall down. The angel wore a bikini underneath, somewhat skimpy and white with blue dots spread evenly across it. Taking the time to fold her robe up on the rocky outcropping upon which she stood, Nadia left it there, and then jumped down, several flaps of her wings allowing her to hover above the water for a moment before gracefully lowering herself into it with only a minor disturbance of the water.
Lowering herself like Tomoe had into the water, Nadia took up a position similar to the one Tomoe had been in when bathing herself. She kept her side facing the other woman, so that she could see her out of the corner of her eye but without seeming like she was staring.
Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)
Tomoe -> Nadia
Even more awkwardness was brough on to the table as Nadia inquired about the miko's clearly visible uncomfiness. "N-n-nothing, nothing at all..." was Tomoe's answer to the question, her usually vigilant gaze shifting away once she realized that the winged redhead was going to strip in front of her. Even with her vision elsewhere, the warrior could feel the wingbeats as tiny gusts of wind. "Those wings do work, not for just decoration.... thankfully she's not as lewd as that elf was..." she thought, taking a quick look at Nadia again as she seated herself in the shallow water.
Still not sure how to react, the miko nudged herself a little bit further away from Nadia, doing it carefully as not to awake any suspicions from her bathing buddy.
Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)
Nadia -> Tomoe
Noticing, but not commenting on the way the other woman seemed to try to increase the distance between the two of them, Nadia continued to bathe. She spoke, mostly out of curiosity and kept her voice conversational; "So, what did you do before you were brought here, Tomoe? You don't seem to be of the human's of the empire, and are too fair of skin to be from the Western desert."
Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)
Tomoe -> Nadia
Keeping her gaze down in the the water at the front of herself, Tomoe heard Nadia speaking to her. Somehow, it was a thing that eased her mind somewhat. "I'm from the East, a middle-ranked shrine maiden. I was taken by a desire to see what the world is like, and thus left my shrine and sisters behind to wander until my mind and heart would be satisfied. I'd provide people with help if they had the need along the way, until the day comes for me to return back into the fold of my sisterhood..." she replied, not being too secretive about herself. The eastern warrior had a good feeling about this other woman, perhaps her seeming holiness and angelic figure was doing it.
Re: The Island (The non-combat IC thread)
"A shrine maiden? I heard good things of your type from my kin, and what you say only confirms their high opinion. You could say that I chose the same, to wander for a time and see more of the world. It is something common among my kind to do so when we come of age, actually. Is the same true among shrine maidens, or are you a special case?" Nadia said as she rubbed water over her breasts, the tips of which hardened visibly as the cold water spread across them.
