Re: The Klub 17??
Wait, did you guys have some alternate "Klub 70" forum up and going somewhere this whole time, or is that a euphemism for razl. . . .org?
As for whether to require newbies to earn their admission, as a total newbie, I have to say I'm fine with the idea, as long as the bar is set realistically. I've had to earn my way onto closed forums before, and as long as the reward is worth it, I've never minded.
I'll even go so far as to suggest a model for what that might look like in this context. Established members can maintain a "request" thread. Moderators can assign a point value to each request, depending probably on difficulty. Newbies, by doing this "grunt work" and posting their efforts on an "audition" thread can make real contributions to the community and thereby earn their way in. What kind of stuff should go on the "request" thread? Well, for example, anyone who uses the coffeebar room will probably at some point wish for a pose of someone sitting and drinking coffee. Even if newbies don't have the latest version that includes the coffeebar, as long as they have the PoseEdit room, they can still put together a tolerable pose of that which will eliminate a lot of tedium for established members who can then take this basic pose and fine-tune it to their needs. And so forth. Just spitballing here, but that seems like a fair way to do it.
