It was like that, except the coders decided that they wanted to make it a democrasy. And that's when things went from "downhill" to "freefall". A few good things still happened after that but as far as I know, it has been literally years since the last big feature has been added.
They gave the choice- Democrasy now and elections for who gets to lead the project, or we all quit!

I just dropped it and moved on, because that's too much bullshit for me to dedicate my time to without getting paid for it
Of course, they then elected 3 different people with 3 different opinions and none of them listened to these elected people either, and these people had exactly 0 plans on what to do, with one disappearing about a week(?) after being elected. I've heard just last week that they're now threatening eachother/a related project with court and being sued because something with the license, and many of them have quit the project because of bullying and full on smear campaigns against them/their opinion and ideals for the game

Really glad I got out of that when I did, yet I still feel disappointment in how it could have been great if people could have just not been assholes about it

I've found I'm not great at actually making things but in the process of making things I'm pretty good. I'm a soundboard for bouncing ideas off of. Most of my ideas are never used but the things those ideas inspire sometimes are. I've tried making my own game but... I think too big.

Those are actually good qualities for a story-writer. Try jotting down the ideas that come to your head, then make an outline. Trust me, it helps.

This is a good idea and try making goals for yourself. Try doing little things and finishing them, when you feel comfortable enough go to the next stage. Short stories before the complex ones. Dream big but be Realistic.

You are lucky the Hentai Gods are merciful. If it were up to me you would be impaled on the Great Dildo for such blasphemy! Or at the very least be thrown into the Pit of Tentacles for about a week or so.

It wouldn't have been the first time Pervy imitated someone else's writing. I still have that PM in which he describes in words how he managed to write a repmessage "Zepheral-style". Among other phrases, "a lack of subtlety" was used. XD
