"I guess I got lucky. You carry it back to the camp." Once back in the camp, Cindy helps Helena skin the animal and clean the meat while Aqua starts a fire.

Helena obediently does what she's told, wagging her tail excitedly as she got the carcass back to camp and sat, watching Cindy clean the animal and commit everything to memory. It really was like a dissection actually, just with a little less finesse. Pondering that, she waited like a good little pet for her master to finish.

Cindy throws Helena a cut of raw meat before pulling out some spices from her bag and starting to grill the rest of it with Aqua.

Helena caught the meat and looked at it before looking at Cindy and smiling wide, letting her see her teeth turn into pointed canines and fangs before tearing into the meat, savouring the taste as something new. And to be honest, it was pretty damn good.

The meat tastes of fresh kill, and her extended canines cut through it with relative ease. She's long finished by the time first grilled meat is finished, and though Cindy doesn't say anything, she seems surprised that Helena actually ate it raw.

Helena licked her lips and wandered over to Cindy, curling up nearby and relaxing. This was actually really nice, although the smell of grilled meat was heavenly, Helena was already full, that wouldn't stop her from being annoying... "really that shocked mistress?" Helena asked innocently.

"You're being a good pet, Helena. What do we do with the rest of the meat?" Cindy answers with a smile, starting to eat the hot meal with Aqua.

Helena yawned and looked up. "Cook it and be grateful we have friendly spiders. The cooked meat will keep in silk since we lack the salt to preserve uncooked meat. Would you like me to handle it Mistress?"

Cindy nods. "Do that, will you?"

"Yes Mistress" Helena says standing and stretching, Calling Strike over for a hand. She knew the Spider would probably not want to, but Helena needed the hand as she picked up the knife and started trimming the meat to set over the fire. Everything was cut free and trimmed down quickly before it was set over the fire, or banked in the coals, each finished piece of meat held by Helena's fire resistant hands as she cooled it quickly and had Strike wrap it in silk in a tight bundle and set aside. The entire process would take a couple hours, but Helena would dutifully see to the task until it was complete, the meat safely bundled.

Strike and Flame come to Helena and follow her instructions, though if they could speak they would be grumbling. After eating, Cindy and Aqua help Helena, and the entire thing takes only an hour.

Meanwhile, the sun is setting in the horizon, and the forest grows silent.

Helena hugs the Spiders, thanking them for the help, knowing it was probably annoying before shooing them along. As night fell, the forest grew strangely quiet, and Helena immediately became nervous, curling up next to Cindy near the fire, not used to the quiet. It really was strange...

Cindy scratches Helena behind ears while absentmindedly staring into the flames. Eventually she stands up and goes to the tent, going to sleep. Aqua follows soon.

Helena follows Cindy back to the tent and curls up with her, making herself as soft and fluffy and snuggable as possible as she drifts off to sleep, fur was nice, so warm... To say she had any deep thoughts before falling asleep was a blatant lie as she slipped into goofy dreams and with an odd craving to play fetch.

The night passes uneventfully, and as the first rays of the sun creep over the horizon, Helena wakes up, first as usual.

Helena wakes up and grins, still fuzzy, and curls into Cindy, murmuring and kissing her cheek. "Good morning Mistress" She said smiling and wagging her tail.

"Mmm..." Cindy blinks a few times before opening her eyes with a smile. "Good morning." Cindy wraps her arms around Helena, hugging her.

Aqua yawns as she wakes up as well, turning to look at the other two.

Helena giggles and cuddles into Cindy grinning and looking at Aqua as she woke up as well. "Good morning Aqua~" She said happily. Thinking for a moment, Helena wondered if she could do that... Be like a slime, and gave it a shot randomly.

Though Helena can feel something changing, her form stays disappointingly solid. Cindy kisses Helena lightly, appearing unwilling to get up.

O well, it was worth a shot, Helena thought randomly as she returned the kiss gently, more then happy to be lazy as well for the moment, enjoying being warm and snuggly. Eventually however, she rose and stretched. "Should I make us some coffee Mistress? Maybe some stew for breakfast? Or did you have something else in mind" She asked pleasantly, her tail lazily wagging back and forth.
