The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Destroying the faces of the remains and gathering the guards' worldly belongings doesn't take much - neither has much of interest beyond a few silver, though she finds a wedding ring in the hand of the guard whose form she has chosen for herself. The mist outside the alley has grown thicker as well, though not too thick for her to see the way back to the mansion, or wherever she'd choose to go. In distance, she sees a lantern approaching along a street.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Spying the lantern, she backs away further into the mists, this was just fog as far as she could tell, there was a harbor nearby. She put on the wedding band and just starting walking, poking his captive soul for the tiny pieces of information she would need, his spouse, his home. Small things while she looked around the city.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Something leads Helena to the bay and then to an aging, paved road known as the Widow's Walk. The moon paints the bay with silver. He had liked to come here to remember. It was here his sister had vanished.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Memory of your sister huh? That's a shame really. No struggling now, and I promise not to eat your Wife. I know you're in there... She muttered into her own soul, while she walked Widow's Walk, Helena looking out at the bay and finding the sight itself fairly relaxing. What wasn't relaxing was the Ghostly Bead sitting in her damned currenly inaccessible womb. She was CERTAIN that... That THING was to blame for her losing control. It would not do to have her changing like that every time she fed and giving herself away, she'd need to be careful. For now though she had a good disguise, weapons, armor, a little bit of coin, even an identity, she just had to play it for a bit until she found an even better one.... Maybe this fools superior.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The road seems all but abandoned tonight, and certainly there are no characters who would approach an armed man, so Helena is left to be at peace. After a while, a memory of a house manifests itself - though the poor live in squalor, the guards are paid more than many, and his small apartment is in a building at the edge of Quartier Ouvrier, where the buildings at least give appearance of decency, unlike many others that would be seen barely fit for livestock in other places.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena nods, turning to head back to the major streets and looking for signs to point her in the right direction, or even just the architecture. She couldn't fly like this, wouldn't risk it. But now she had a target to find, an apartment.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The chilly mist and the creaking buildings make the place seem creepy, but with familiarity not her own, Helena finds the apartment building at the edge of the quarter, where the construction suddenly turns shoddy, marking the end of the merchants quarter and the beginning of the worker's quarter where the poor and downtrodden live. His apartment was in the third floor, and the building has great many apartments marked apart by thin walls that do not offer much privacy. His wife would be asleep right now, due to get up and go to work in just a few hours.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Finding the place, Helena slid inside and went to find this... Wife, curious now, was she cute at least? She promised she wouldn't hurt her, so she wouldn't. Fuck her? Probably.

Heading on in, keeping an eye on the surrounding emotions, Helena moved quietly and carefully, wanting to get a feel for things before Wife woke up.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The apartment is small but tidy, with two rooms that are only big enough to be comfortable in because there isn't much furniture. His wife would be going to work in a few hours, but for now the apartment is pitch black, with not even a window to let in light. The bedroom hosts a single bed, barely big enough for two.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Ever Decided you Hate this place? Helena purred to her souls, grinning to herself as she stalked around the apartment, before doing the normal thing, and stripping down, to slip into bed carefully, looking to get some sleep. We'll see how long I can last... see if I can drag this whole city to Hell... she thought, purring.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena soon falls asleep. When he wakes up, the woman is gone, but there's a fire in the fireplace, and some still-warm flatbread on the table.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena yawns as she wakes up, and sees a fire and flatbread, definitely can't complain about that. Getting up, she got dressed and rearmored up, before eating and leaving a thankyou note on the table because she could. Once that was seen to, she'd head out and become familiar with the surrounding area. Trying to stalk this place without knowing where she was would be dangerous and stupid.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It appears to be close to midday, and save for some children running on the streets, the place looks mostly abandoned. A few blocks north, however, Helena finds a large workshop district, where the poor work for meager pay. Most people seem intent on avoiding her.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Well... seemed the poor were poor here... She could chew through them like a chainsaw, but she'd already learned her lesson about cheap easy food.... It was Bad for her.

And useless

Wandering the district though, she was curious as to what all was going on here, this place had had professions she hadn't even known existed and she'd benefited, her hand straying to the collar she'd finally had to remove to work her disguise, resting out of sight as she looked around, curious.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The area has a wide variety of industries: weavers, tanners, weaponsmiths, potters and just about every other kind of manufactory can be found here, with rows of peasants working hurriedly and with rather mediocre results. People seem naturally averse of her, and she doesn't see other guards here, either.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Hrm.... no one wanted to be around her in this district, she stuck out like a sore thumb. She finally lost her patience with that and instead turned her Manly as FUCK face to the first person she saw that WASN'T trying to not be seen by her. what is going on here? I didn't beat anyone savagely recently did I? I think I'd remember that... she asked, looking around, trying to figure out what the attitude was and actually checking the emotions because this went a little further then "Avoid the Police" She wanted to know why.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Ye dumb or just playing?" the rat-like man says, stopping to peer under Helena's helmet. "Ye don't get to wear that uniform and play all innocent-like."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Grabbing the man's shirt, she pulled him straight up against the helmet. I can play, Whatever the fuck I feel like Filth. Now answer my fucking question or me and some friends are going to play a new musical number on your freshly exposed ribcage. she growled, trying her very best to be menacing as well as evil.

intimidate at +9 apparently
Any bonuses for BEING A MEMBER OF THE ELITE SNOBBERY THAT PUNISHES SUCH PEASANTRY!?!?

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The man merely grins, his eyes void of sanity as he gazes into Helena' face, and Helena can feel a knife pressing into the gap under the breastplate. "Hey, no hard feelings, yeh? We're just kidding around, yeh."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

This looks familiar... Hey, I'm only into another kind of stabbing. Helena said, looking around before feeling the knife and getting angry. Yeah... sure... Kidding. she muttered, pushing the man away and continuing to glare around, looking for emotions like... well, if it were her, she'd be Amused.
