Helena doesn't find anything at first, as the rug seems to do magnificent job in muffling any sound.

well, it had seemed a good idea in theory, but it seemed she had two choices left, try to touch the mind of an unknown with no idea how to do it. or start setting things on fire again... Trying the former, Helena reached out specifically to the "it" as gently as possible. If this worked then great, if it didn't there was always fire. Fire had never betrayed her...

Helena gets a... sense of some monstrous being, feeling only hunger, but that doesn't help in locating it the slightest.

{Jasmine... I found something, and it feels bad... See if you can get here in case I need a hand...} Tossing out this little message Helena immediately moves to the simpler tactic of Fire and begins burning the carpet and anything else flammable in the house. Never letting the heat die down until everything was reduced to ash...

Helena, snagged by the carpet, points both of her hands down at the offending thing and tries to kill it with fire, the twin bolts launched at close range...

The carpet seems to shrug of Helena's blasts as it pushes her down to the floor, wrapping around her ever tighter.

realizing that the current tactic may not work Helena tries to blink anywhere out of the things grip, getting worried as it wrapped her further...

The blinking seems to work as Helena disappears from the monsters grasp, only to appear next to the upturned table, with the carpet between her and the door.

"Shitttt..." Seeing that she was actually trapped it was unsure whether the smart play was to try and blink again or to try attacking again. Fire didn't seem to be working very well, Raising her hands a pair of icy shards crystallized before they were launched at the carpet, maybe knocking holes in it would make more of an impact...

The ice shards seem to do at least some damage as they pierce and cut the fabric, but it seems to shrug it off as it gets closer, trying to corner Helena. *Didn't I tell you not to get into more trouble?*

{I didn't think it was alive! o_O} Fire wasn't really working, Ice was only half effective, Well, that left Lightning. Reaching a decision Helena fired to bursts of electricity at the carpet hoping this was more effective.

The lightning bolt causes the smell of burning wool to rise from the carpet as it wraps around her again.
(derp, accidentally only gave a single attack last time)

Helena tries to fry the damned thing with electricity which seemed to actually worked despite being wrapped. She was happy to be close as long as it didn't get her into too much trouble...

The shock goes through the monster, hurting it more even as it wraps around Helena tighter, pulling her legs together.

Helena is further restricted and is annoyed at having to spend the time trying to get loose. She could probably blink loose again but like last time there was no real telling where she would end up, No, she'd try to just wriggle loose this time before returning to the attack...

Helena manages to tear herself free, before sending another bolt through the carpet which is starting to look quite worn.

Helena, now loose, returns to the offensive, sending another pair of bolts streaking at the smoking rug...
