The guard respectfully lifts off his helmet before stepping inside. "Hello. I'm here on behalf of the prince. He's arranging a party, and there's need for...entertainment."

Helena reached out with her mind and kept an eye on his mood, looking for anything that would indicate deceit such as fear or anxiety. Sitting down, she gestured for him to join her. "And tell me, What kind of entertainment is the Prince looking for, if you don't mind my asking. I mean, it's a high honour." Helena said, reaching for the wine and offering the guard a glass.

"I still don't know your name either good sir, and to be honest, I don't do business with people I don't know at least that much about."

The young man seems quite nervous, though he manages a composed demeanor. "My name is Garius. As for the entertainment... the prince has rather peculiar tastes. The specifics depend on what you're willing to do and how much does that cost."

The man moves to takes a seat, hesitating before sitting down and placing the helmet on the table.

"Peculiar Tastes? Well Garius, Me and my sister have very peculiar tastes ourselves, and what we're willing to do depends on the cost. That said... You can't blame a girl for being careful. I'll go with you right now to negotiate with him directly, as that seems the most forward and easiest method. We can negotiate terms there" Helena says, standing and moving towards the door.

*Jasmine, I'll go and make sure everything is on the up and up, but to be honest, if this is a trap, and it's still making my skin crawl, I'd rather have the more powerful of us free and able to act*

"Please Garius, The sooner this is taken care of discreetly, the happier everyone will be."

Garius shakes his head. "That's not possible, I'm afraid. The prince is always busy, you understand, and granting audience to a... commoner, even one he's hiring, would be unusual. And there's a delicate balance with the church to take care of, as well."

Helena puts her hands on her hips. "Then I'm afraid business is not possible. This is non negotiable. If he really feels so strongly about hiring us, then he can make time for this simple request. I know he's a busy man, But I'm also available at all hours of the night. If he decides to agree to this term of mine, then I know he's serious. He can send a runner to fetch me if he decides to. Good Day" Helena says opening the door for Garius.

Garius sighs and gets up, leaving with a nod. Shortly after, Jasmine blinks back into view. *That could've gone better.*

*It could have, But this smells bad... And no amount of coin is worth our lives... The very situation makes my fucking skin crawl* Helena sent, closing and locking the door. Moving to the tube, Helena called down. "No one is to be admitted to see us unless it's Tom, a messenger from Master Oleg Vishnek, or a runner from the Prince himself, for the rest of the night."

Moving back to the chair, Helena quaffed her wine in a single pull and ran a hand through her hair. "Something fucking reeks about all of this..." Helena said quietly... "That man was jumpier then a jackrabbit, and he shouldn't have been if he thought he was simply procuring entertainment."

"Why would the prince want to kill us?" Jasmine seems surprised by Helena's conclusion, while Cindy is juggling again. "And he could've been nervous for any number of reasons. Maybe he has a jealous wife, for example."

Helena sighed. "You could be right, but still.... I don't trust this, and you know what they say about an ounce of prevention. Think about magic, we're not even from this plane. We have to be ringing a god damn alarm every time we cast something!"

Helena took another drink, finally starting to calm down, not sure why she was reacting so strongly. Still, the terms had been set, and there was nothing to do but wait.

Jasmine picks her cup and pours more wine, as well. "You think he will send for us? We've had enough trouble getting to see Oleg, and he's just a minor noble."

"I think that if he's telling the truth, that One, he isn't going to like being snubbed like this, and two, wants the best. I'm certain our reputation has gotten around. More importantly, if he's like every other self entitled person I've ever met, he's going to want to chide me in person for my arrogance."

Helena said after thinking for a bit, her mind buzzing.

"You're probably right, if Othmar sent for us. It might've been Garius' superior, who was just told to get the said entertainment, and happened to know of us." Jasmine retorts, taking a gulp. "Well, guessing won't help us, we'll just have to wait."

Helena nods and takes the time calming her nerves and waiting. Looking over her bow with a critical eye and becoming more familiar with the weapon, as well as checking the arrows for any faults. It was a calming thing really, going over a tool. When it was time for dinner to roll around, Helena really didn't care what was ordered, having Cindy handle it.

Finishing her cup of wine, Jasmine goes to sit next to Cindy, and Helena can feel the two discussing about something for a while before Jasmine starts meditating and Cindy resumes her juggling.

A few hours pass with no sign of a runner or the prince and Cindy orders dinner, which turns out to be a pie of some sort, filled with pork.

Helena eats her dinner quickly, and then retreats to a corner to meditate herself, wondering what the hell had her so on edge. Falling into the trance, this time she tried to look outward, looking for anything that may have had a connection to her as she sat staring into her flame. She would keep up this attempt until she was interrupted or something broke her trance. She was still spooked rather badly and had no idea why. If this revealed nothing at all, then she would drop it and toss it up to paranoia.

Helena can sense lots of paranoia in the air, permeating from nearly everyone in the area along with the more normal emotions of the daily life. She can also sense presence of a number of unusually strong willed people, seemingly filled with barely contained rage.

Helena had no idea what to think about the rage. It could have been righteous anger from the papists, or fear and indignation from spell casters in the area. Being far more careful then was normal for her, she reached out slowly to the nearest one. Careful to carefully cloud her own thoughts as best she could and hide her location. If anyone tried to find her location using her mind, they would find her thinking very hard about the african savannah...

Helena finds the mind somehow shielded from closer examination by the combination of strong will and... something else. It wouldn't be hard to bypass that, though.

Helena pushes through it as gently as possible, doing her damnedest to make sure nothing confused her with Hostile. *Please, I just want to talk...*
