The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

A cool breeze blows through the town from north as Helena heads towards the forest. As Helena wanders in the forest, she suddenly notices a sweet smell of fruit coming from nearby.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Lifting her nose as she caught the scent, she was vaguely reminded of a certain rose bush that had tried to eat her, but it wasn't the same. Interested and confident, she followed the scent, looking around for it's source without a care in the world.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The smell comes from the fruits of an odd-looking tree with wide reaching branches covered with vines and fungi.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Well. That's new. she said, peering up at the tree, reaching out a hand to feel the bark and moss that covered it. She could smell the fruit, she couldn't name the fruit but she could smell it. But what kind of tree harbored sweet fruit, fungus, and moss?

Overwhelmed with curiosity, she peered up into the tree while her hand explored the trunk.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Perception: 22 success
Attack: 11, miss
Entangle: 13, save

As Helena touches the tree, the undergrowth bursts to life, trying to grab her.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena's first motion as she hopped out of the way was to set herself hovering above the ground with a slight Eep! before righting herself and staying slightly in the air.

Well that's unfriendly... If this was another place I'd say it was likely fun, but the LAST plant tried to EAT ME! she said, floating back and keeping an eye on the undergrowth, ready to dodge again as she regarded the tree from her new position, reaching to pluck a fruit.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Attack: 12 miss
One of the vines seems different from the others and indeed, it quickly swings towards Helena again just as she plucks out the fruit, missing by several feet.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Floating away as the tree swiped at her again, her prize in hand, Helena got herself a bit out of range and regarded the fruit, pulling it apart in her hands while she snorted at the vines, curious as to what she had found, slimebaby hiding against her back.

Status: Helena HP 18/27
AoO: 25, 9 damage
Grab: 12, fail

The vine makes a last swing at Helena, latching onto her leg and tearing away some of her skin as its grip fails to stop Helena from getting away.

The fruit feels soft, has a thick skin and smells kind of like a mix of peaches and almonds.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Hissing in pain as the vine took a chunk out of her, Helena moved well out of the way while sniffing the fruit, before shrugging and taking a large bite out of the meat, never knew unless you tried.

Admittedly, if she didn't have the fruit to puzzle over, she'd have already set the vine on fire. But life continued as she grudgingly used a spell on her torn leg after tasting the fruit. Now she Needed to properly feed.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The fruit tastes good, but leaves a somewhat bitter aftertaste and unless Helena wants another go at the vine, she is once again left with nothing to do.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The vine was a no. Blood was a nono, that plant was not interested in anything Other then eating her. Sighing, Helena finished the fruit before tossing the rind away and pondering her own hunger.

Heading back towards down and settling herself back on the ground, Helena looked around for a suitable meal, she sincerely doubted she'd fine something perfectly suited to her tastes, but not every meal had to be extravagant.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena's instincts lead her to a sleazy club that seems suspiciously empty on the top side, with a pair of customers and a lone bartender sitting around eventhough Helena senses large concentrations of lust nearby.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Her instincts led her straight to what she needed. Time would tell how flavorful she found the meal.

The club itself was an oddity, she could feel the lust, taste it on the air and in her mind, but it was in hiding. There was more here then met the eye. Moving towards the customers, Helena tapped one on the shoulder, leaning in.

What is this place? she asked curiously, looking around.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The customer - a white-haired elf with purple eyes - turns to look at Helena appraisingly, his eyes lingering on Helena's beltpouch just a fraction of a second too long. "Depends, human. What are you after?"

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

A good time, a really, good time. she answered, contemplating his eyes. She'd probably have to charm away any harm to her pouch... Or an open attempt to take it, who knew.

Still, violet eyes... Don't see that often at all, even among elves.. she said, fully appraising the man who had given her an answer, letting her own body do the talking in return. She was sexy, and she knew it. Crazy to, but they didn't know that.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The elf seems more amused than aroused by the situation. "And what exactly makes you think this is the right place for that?"

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

And what would lead you to imply that I'm wrong? Helena countered smoothly. Or that I'm human. Assumptions will get you in a whole lot of trouble. She continued, catching his eyes properly.

She could SMELL the lust here, there was more to this place.

But it's a shame you're not smart enough to play this little game properly. You were outmatched the moment you opened your mouth and revealed how lacking in perception you really are. she said, willing to meet him on what he thought was a ground of his choosing and show him just how out of his depth he really was.

And then she raised the bar to where he couldn't follow. With her mind. *Or how deeply my eyes can see.*

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The elf mutters an oath in a guttural, very un-elflike language that Helena hasn't heard before, reaching for something in his pocket.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Don't. she said simply, not making any moves, tilting her head. I'm not here for a mess, I already told you why I'm here. Relax.

Besides, before you do anything you'll regret, I certainly wont, Think really, Really hard on whether you have the stones to upset me. she added, her eyes narrowing sharply, simply opening a hand at her side.

As I said, you're out of your depth. I came here for a good fuck, not a fight. That really bother you that much?
