Resting there, Helena just stays where she is for awhile before Jade stands and hands her her clothing. They seemed to be fine and since the leash was still clipped to her collar, Helena scooped it up and unclipped it, handing it back to Jade as she pulled her cloak back on. Since speaking was out she just tilted her head and smiled, starting to look around the little clearing they were in a bit more closely.

The fact that the forest was normal was so fucking strange to Helena that she had to marvel at it for a moment while she stroked the face and neck of her own mount, before swinging up onto it's back smoothly, taking the reins gently and warming him up gently by having him walk slowly around the clearing, stretching out.

After a while, Claire joins Jade and Helena again, and the men get mounted up. Just enjoying the day, Claire leads the trio through the forest and around the country side, taking a few shorter breaks to let the horses cool down as needed.

By the time they get back to the city, it's long past lunchtime. Exchanging a few words with Jade, Claire parts ways, leaving Jade and Helena to make their way to his house on their own. At Claire's house, a servant comes to open the stable doors and take care of the horses.

The men don't take too terrible long to join her, and a short while after that they continue their ride through the countryside. It was relaxing and without any real rushing about. By the time their ride was up and they were back, Helena dismounted and helped lead the animals into the stables, handing them to the servant and saying goodbye to her own.

It was long after lunch and Claire parted, Helena waving goodbye cheerfully before saying it without thinking and meowing when he did before they arrived, which was a bit odd but eh, he had shit to do apparently, Helena flailing for a short moment before looking to Jade wondering what the plan was. it'd been a good day regardless.

After dismounting and handing the reins to the servant, Jade exchanges a few pleasantries with him before snapping the leash back to Helena's collar. Giving her a kiss, the merchant leads Helena back to his manor.

Once there, he takes Helena to the dining hall, where a maid soon brings them food and mild beer. The food turns out to be bread baked this morning, thinly sliced meat, rich sauce and potatoes, and Jade digs in, letting Helena eat on the table as well.

As Jade releashed her, Helena eeped as she got tugged, not paying full attention and giggling as she was pulled along and into a kiss. Returning it, she was soon following Jade back to his manor where food was waiting for them in the dining hall. Being reach was nice apparently.

Seeing her food laid out on the table she just pulled up a chair and started eating her meal and drinking beer of all things, something she hadn't actually had in quite awhile. Finishing the meal quickly enough though with Some show of basic manners and grace, the latter not being difficult, Helena leaned back in her chair and sighed. The sauce and meat had been good but the bread had been delicious. She made a point to bake all her own bread fresh if she got back to a time with a gas or electric oven because she was never getting that bagged crap from a grocery store ever again.

Jade finishes eating after Helena, and with a tankard in hand he turns to regard her, apparently wondering what to do next. As he is wondering, the maid brings him a folder of papers. After glancing through them, he takes a look at the clock and sighs. Finishing his beer, he stands up, gently tugging on the leash before heading outside again with his papers in one hand and leash in the other.

Walking halfway across the city, he takes Helena into a busy office. Taking a seat at a heavily engraved table, he starts talking with clerks, issuing orders, reading papers and doing other managerial work, all the while leaving Helena on display like a trophy.

Grinning at Jade as he seemed to be wondering what exactly to do with her, she giggled when the maid showed up. Buuuut it didn't seem to be the best news and with a short tug, Helena finished the rest of her beer before they headed out again.

Walking once more Helena had to accept the fact that either Other people saw him walking a Cat, OR that no one gave a shit in this city which would be odd considering she hadn't seen anything like this anywhere else so far.

Considering the length of the walk though she had to assume one or the other and paid close attention to the other people, what they did, how they felt, trying to puzzle it out because she couldn't ask. most Men at the very least Stared at her with lust and women with Envy.

Regardless they seemed to be headed to Jade's office and once inside he sat down to work while leaving her to stand there like a trophy. Or because he wasn't sure what else to do with her. Curious about that, she just stayed quiet, for all of about 5 seconds, before starting to make little lights dance on the tops of the various clerks' heads just because she could.

As it turns out, most people apart from other nobles avert their eyes when faced with a nobleman behaving oddly. Still the lack of reactions suggest that this isn't the first time people here see something like this.

While Jade manages his business, Helena is left to her own devices. The first time she makes lights appear, the clerks are startled, but Jade manages to calm things down to the point where they merely sneak glances at her while working. Seeing that Helena isn't just going to stand there, Jade removes the leash, letting her wander around in the office at least.

Helena leaned down and kissed Jade's cheek when he removed the leash, before wandering around the office quietly, looking at things, but she was nice enough to make the fairy lights vanish as she did.

The clerks at least seem to be thankful for not having flames hovering about, however illusionary they might have been. As Helena wanders around the office, she gets some idea of how things work around here, with most actual decisions being made or at least confirmed by Jade. It doesn't take too long before someone bumps into her, his hand accidentally sliding onto her ass. Well... it MIGHT have been an accident, for all she knows.

Well, she was getting a handle on how things ran, before she bumped into something and they MIGHT have copped a feel. She ignored it unless it happened again in which case the next guy would get a knuckle sandwich. While she enjoyed the attention, and she really did, she found it easier to avoid it by keeping an eye on emotions, and steering herself away from those that were lusty enough to try, using her dexterity and grace to stay just out of reach, now on her guard because she didn't want to cause a ruckus here while Jade was working.

though.... she was getting more and more tempted to annoy him just to see what he'd do.

The clerks are not among the most forward people, so when Helena starts showing signs of evading any who might try to cop a feel, they just start more or less ignoring her. After a while, one of the clerks brings Helena a cup of tea.

Taking the tea, Helena smiled brightly and nodded, saying Thank you without thinking and sipping on the warm drink, sighing happily as she continued to wander. Eventually though her curiosity was satisfied and she commandeered a chair, sitting down next to Jade and leaning back comfortably, enjoying the tea and just waiting. Oddly enough she was already formulating a plan to have Jade use his influence to help her in her job rather then those 3 stooges she'd received folders on. AND this was a much more enjoyable way to go about doing it so far.

Still.... she was getting more and more curious to see what he did if she deliberately misbehaved, but she was going to wait until they were back home and away from prying eyes to avoid embarrassing him at his workplace. So for now she was content, humming a song softly to herself.

Helena soon notices a squirrel just outside the window. It appears to be nibbling on an acorn while spying on her. Jade, meanwhile, seems to be experiencing some frustrations from the clerks.

She was being watched.... by a squirrel. She was the Squirrel High Priestess! Had to be! or she was very very wrong about most things. On way or the other, she noticed Jade's frustration and immediately moved to his side, actually gripping a clerk who was in the way, and urging him aside, hissing quite angrily if he resisted, before looking at Jade with a look on her face asking how she could help, if at all.
