The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Most of the windows appear to be open because they open to bedrooms with someone sleeping inside, but one of the rooms is empty, and Helena easily slips inside, easily vanishing from the room before its occupant returns. Apart from the bedrooms, the building appears to be unoccupied, leaving Helena free to roam and plot, as long as she didn't make too much noise...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena roamed about silently within the opera house, looking for things that caught her interest and simply bowing slightly to anyone she passed, playing up her costume. She was planning alright, but she needed a bit more information, mainly when the next play was due to start, and how she could sabotage it and cause as much damage as possible.

She'd turn their performance into hers, with fire, and bloodshed, screams of panic and forced pleasure. She'd show them a nightmare, lay the blame at the feet of the poor, let the two parts of the city tear eachother apart while she kept fanning the flames. She had to enrage both sides. After she was done here, when she was done here.... She'd torch the poorest section of the city and lay it at the feet of a certain horse raising noble... And all the while continuing to take souls without a single thought any longer to the consequences.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The rooms where costumes are kept are locked down, but she does find one unlocked storage room with supplies like rope, several bags of flour and other things an enterprising pyromaniac might find use for.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena grinned when she found everything she needed to set this place to a firm and impressive Torching. She gathered up the rope, and gathered a bag of flower up to use as a dust bomb later, you didn't need alot. She dug through the supplies, looking for anything she recognized and anything of open interest to her new hobby.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Alongside the flour, Helena finds sheets of cloth, bottles of oil, and various well-worn props made from papier-mâché, including skulls, swords and other things that might see use in a play or opera.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Oil....... That was something she wanted, and more of, gathering it up quickly, along with the papier-mâché, anything she could hang as a decoration. Using the rope, and the props, she started to drift through the halls, hanging them in the hallways as she went. Some she soaked in oil, others she did not. She was humming cheerfully to herself as she worked. She had no interest in putting on an actual play herself but she would give them all a spectacle to enjoy.

She made sure to save at least one bottle of oil purely to soak the front doors with later, it wouldn't do to have too many survivors, and she was always on the lookout for more, turning the opera house slowly but surely into a tinderbox.

When she had simply run out of paper to decorate the halls with, she started to drag out the flour... Carrying more of it with her. The first bang would be impressive. And the nobles seemed to so love their plays. It would be Fun, to Steal away that pleasurable activity for them, raise their stress, take away their outlet..... Turn them towards the impoverished. She would start with them, it would make turning the impoverished into her own mod so much simpler. Maybe they could pay a visit to Jade's later, hang him in the streets. He was their Better after all, he should Hang above them... from a lamp post. She found herself enjoying the idea of publically executing him in this way more and more appealing the more she thought about it.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It takes nearly an hour to "decorate" the place just the way she likes it, but finally there are paper props hanging everywhere to Helena's satisfaction. As she starts dragging the flour sacks, the succubus hears someone moving upstairs.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena pauses as she hears someone above her, tuning in her senses sharply, hunting, prodding at the available emotions while she headed upstairs herself to see. She looked honestly like something out of a scenic nightmare. It was not something most people wanted to see in the middle of the night. But it was shocking enough to perhaps cause curiosity or give pause...

She looked forward to the reaction.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena senses a nervous youth, full of mischief. As she gets upstairs, Helena sees a young actor working with a pair of lockpicks to open a door that seems to lead into an office of some kind. He doesn't seem to notice her approach, too enthralled by his efforts to get the lock open...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena, spotting the youth, waited for him to finish with the lock, he was trying so hard in getting it done, and she was filled with her own mischief at the moment.

Once he'd opened the door however, she'd slide up behind him. Ooooo~! Now aren't you just Trouble~! But not troubling... Now what would draw you out here, to pick a lock, in the middle of the night? she asked him quietly, always keeping a look out with her mask for magical auras, using it to it's fullest abilities to keep her a little safer, and to keep her aware of very Theft Worthy items.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The youth spins around to look at Helena, angered and afraid. "Who in the mists are you?" he demands, enviously eyeing the clearly valuable mask she is wearing.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Comedy~! Though I could quickly turn this into a Tragedy if you'd prefer... The better question is why you're picking locks in this place.... Though.... I don't care... Rob the place! See your lady love~! I'm looking to tip the world on it's head, you could be the noble and the noble could be wondering how he's going to feed himself tomorrow. she said, stretching slowly and tilting her head.

I am Veeerrrrry Curious though... Anything good to be found in there? she asked, staying on her guard, she was not about to have her mask stolen by some little dipshit.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The youth angrily turns and slips into the office. "Just money, alright? And keep quiet, I don't think either of us would like it if the others woke up." The office is rather sparse, with two bookshelves filled with folders, and a messy desk. It is the desk that interests the youth, who quickly digs a small lockbox out of it and starts working on that lock in turn.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Money~? That's all? You broke into this place....
just for money? No.
Helena said, tilting her head the other direction, before slaving the youth's will to her own in an instant. Go Home, find a better way to make money.... and learn to run away from fires, not haplessly wander Towards Them for Gold. she told him. And stay quiet or I'll use you as kindling.
Off you go, that's a good boy. Shoo.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The young man looks at Helena, then at the lockbox, then back at Helena... "I can't believe I'm doing this," he says, taking the lockbox with him and starting to climb out of the window.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It's because in your gut you know you'd like to live longer then 18 and this will eventually get you Killed. Wouldn't be the first I've seen. Be safe. Helena said, watching him go, before looking through the office herself nonchalantly, curiously. This place would go up like a fucking tinder box when she wanted it to, and the thief couldn't finger the evil jester for it without that same jester pointing him out as a thief.

He was safer, she was free to continue, sometimes things didn't go immediately sideways. Maybe there was something interesting here, like information she could use before she burned this place to the ground.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The office has all kinds of information needed for running the opera, like practice schedules, number of seats sold for each showing and scheduled shows. Little of it is of interest, unless she was planning to study the economics of the place or postpone her arson.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

She was hoping for something a little juicier then that. Ahh well. There was one last thing for the cloaked demon jester to do, which was start setting fires.

Setting the bags of flour she'd taken around windows, she knew the heat would shatter the glass and air would rush in, scattering the flour into the air where it would immediately ignite, set around places where she hadn't managed to set up incendiary Piñatas, cutting the bags in certain places to make them easier to scatter, and likely to tip over if disturbed.

She saved about half of it to simply scatter behind her as she suddenly started flying through the halls, trailing a cloud behind her while she lit oil soaked paper and carpet as she passed, before taking her time to make Sure the fire took. She stayed far enough away to protect her outfit, hurling flames behind her and continuing to viciously ignite the building before leaving through the same window she'd entered through.

After that she acrobatically tumbled to the ground, flying without flying, and dominated the first guard she saw, and putting his partner to sleep, bringing the dominated guard to stand next to her. Go tell the others to just let it burn, form a line,
keep the people from entering, or helping, when they ask you why, tell them it's Orders. And tell the common folk the Nobles didn't like the last opera.
she told him plainly, the command simple and easy to follow, nor outside anything the guard wouldn't normally do. Following Orders was Specifically what he was paid to follow. When he was away, no matter how many fucking times she had to Try and put the other to sleep, she'd drag him to the steps and wait with him, stroking his cheek, letting her influence constantly seep into his mind, all the while holding his loaded pistol just in case it Still didn't work and he turned into a dickhead she had to suddenly shoot in the face.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

In a few short minutes, the entire building is on fire, and screams of surprise and agony echo from the bedrooms, as the actors and staff wake up in the fiery building and try to escape. Few of them would manage to do so, fewer still without serious injuries.

Helena manages to surprise a pair of guards. One of them falls asleep and the other under her thrall, starting to obey her orders as best as he could.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

She waited for the guard to do his task, gathering the others to stop the city from trying to save the opera house and it's inhabitants. She paid the burning Food in the building little care or concern while she continued to Force a charm on the sleeping guard, waiting on the steps and holding a gun, her mask always seeming to smile, despite the gruesome scene behind her.
Who says I can't laugh during a Tragedy... Not Shakespeare~ she said to herself, laughing maliciously to herself.
