Within the law I will accept it. outside it the only thing they deserve is a violent and public death. He muttered, stepping forward and slamming his foot into the old wood. The Jam splintered and it opened into a hallway with a door that seemed to curl back into the throne room, and then further back into the rest of the dungeon.

Three imps eeped and scrambled away from the door, the hallway just large enough for two to stand shoulder to shoulder and lit by active gas lamps that sputtered and hissed while Gerald seemed to growl. They recovered quickly enough, hurling flame their way and Gerald seemed content to front line this battle by blocking them with his body in this tight space, giving Lieze an opening to surge forward while the fire sputtered and splashed across his breastplate and pauldrons, his hair singed and a light burn on his cheek as he simply kept walking forward as if he did not care.

Going on, the door was quickly made work of as Gerald decided to go barbarian on the thing, kicking it down instead of simply opening the thing up. There seemed to be a path there, but more immediately there were more imps there as well, their attack quickly getting intercepted by tank Gerald who ate them like hot peppers. Deciding it was not the best decision in the world to just hope that he was going to last until they got to the imps with their swords, Lieze looked for a good spot before making her way past the sturdy tankman so she could get into attack range and swing away.

Gerald actively tanking the damage. Gerald is starting to Glow!

Rushing passed Gerald the imps were surprised and scattered away from her while Gerald laughed as Lieze's blade whistled through one, cutting the small demon clean in half and spraying black blood across the wall. Being struck twice more, Gerald's breastplate started to glow and still he made no active move to attack himself, instead gritting his teeth and actively catching the two firebolts on his armor and shield, each blow making the light magical glow of his armor all the brighter.

Pushing her attack, Lieze initially made less of an impact that she had hoped for, making Gerald take more attacks than was necessary onto his armor and shield. He was starting to look a bit glowy, so halting the oncoming attacks would probably be a decent thought, lest he be forced to discard his armor and become the local barbarian. Keeping it up with her barrage, the halfblood swung wantonly at the tiny demons in an effort to end them quicker.
