Yup, my bad!

According to DLsite v171114 added the sprite gallery, and the savegames being from 17/11/12 had me jump to false conclusions.

That said, there were supposedly two further version ups, one -according to DLsite update info- fixing some things in the gallery?
Why they don't actually use version numbers or reference updates in their text documents, is beyond me, though. (or I'm blind lol)
Makes life for an honest pirate much harder, y'know?! xD

Does this require Japanese region settings to extract properly? The "Game_v881" application doesn't run the game for me.

Don't think so, I believe that just using the emulator should do it. If not the next two reasons are usually:

1. Not running as admin
2. The file path being too long
