I'm curious what you guys like in a good hentai visual novel. Do you enjoy secrets to unlock? Minus the fact that you play to unlock the H-scenes... what are other things that have been done before, that you really enjoy?

I think I'm confusing Visual Novels with Text and CGI. What exactly is a Visual Novel?

Same thing. Basically just a digital picture book. Also known as ADV.

@Vuki's question: No. Sorry, I can't stand ADVs. Before I knew hentai came in actual game flavors, they were okay (I went through a few of ZYX's visual novels like Horny Bunnies and Tsuki Possession), but even Fate/Stay Night couldn't hold my interest for very long once I discovered games like Eiyuu x Mao, Sengoku Rance, and Thunder Warrior Raidy.

Sometimes I feel like a light story.

As long as it's funny and I like the characters, I'll enjoy it, when I'm in the right mood for it.

I need to steal more anime from my hosuemate's computer.

Have any of you ran into many visual novels that contain alternative forms of gameplay? For example: Hitozuma Sentai Aisaiger. In that series, there were cards games and a fighting system, however I think they were laid out as a visual novel?
