I've mostly been playing on consoles, so I am wondering about what kind of controller I should use for PC. Playing platform games using the keyboard just doesn't cut it these days.

The best answer I can give is..... if there's a brand of console you don't own, use a controller from that. That way, you'll have less problems syncing your console controllers with the actual consoles and the PC and controller have a 1-to-1 connection.

Cheap, wired and can be used for both direct input and x input with a mode switch on the back so it'll work with any game that supports a controller.

Seems like I was able to get my Dual Shock 4 working using .

But after playing, I need to physically connect the controller back to my PS4 and press the "PS" button to sort of reset it.
Otherwise, buttons like Options don't work.

Watch out if you're using the cable regularly, the port on the controller is designed to fail instead of damaging the cable itself.
