Re: What the hell are you listening to?
Feh. I'm getting bored with all the music I have. I still haven't found that quintessential blend of flavors including a really powerful brass section in a full orchestra plus talented opera-trained female vocals plus one or two low-medium key metal instruments in order to create truly epic music. I've still only found bits and pieces in the bands I listen to; Rhapsody of Fire is still the closest I've gotten to what I really want, using actual REAL instruments and incredibly epic lyrics, but there's something about male vocals that really turns me off. Unless they're Frank Sinatra. If I could just take the lead singer from Nightwish, or better yet Amberian Dawn, and slap her in the place of Rhapsody's lead, I'd be in paradise. Alas... my search continues...
