Eleas arms wrapped around Sables master, the Su-Ku-Ta man didn't even seem to avoid the elves grasp. As she did so, Sable issued her command to the naga queen, who simply nodded and turned toward the three who were still reeling from Ashleys spell. The powerful creature wrapped around the blond elven woman, her powerful coils squeezing the woman until the already injured woman went limp in her grasp. The naga released her, and she lsumped to the ground, either dead or unconscious as the powerful summoned creature faced the other two recovering thralls. They both attempted to strike at the naga as Sables master had against Elea, but the agile being avoided their strikes by weaving through their attacks.

The cat-man suddenly twisted in Eleas grasp, and the elf was violently twisted around, one arm held tightly behind her back while the other was forced out wide. Her back was now to the Su-Ku-Ta man, who began dragging the helpless elf toward Natalie and her black shield. He paused and glared at Sable as she stood in his path, but he didn't yet try to pass her even though she was clearly in a highly defensive stance.

Ashleys spell hurled the orc away from her, the beings formidable and demonically enhanced strength not allowing it to avoid the powerful wind that she summoned. It slowly rose to its feet, but even as it tried to get back on its feet, Tsuki roared and blurred past him, leaving only a glowing red line where her sword passed. The orc fell in two pieces, cut cleanly from his left shoulder to the right side of his waist. Two of the five thralls were down, but Natalie still watched the battle impassively, a broad grin across her face.

With the orc very definately dead, Ashley took a moment to see how the battle was going. Somewhat to her surprise, the summoned naga seemed to have held the attention of all three of the thralls she had hit with her first spell, taking one out of the fight.

That left three targets before they could attack the demon, and at least two were injured from Ashley's own attack at the start of the fight. Those could both probably be taken out with one more attack. The last, though, was a Su-ka-ta and appeared to have one of her allies pinned. He couldn't be allowed to take her beyond the shield, but it also seemed that he had some sort of relationship with another of her allies, so it would probably be unwise to bisect him, and difficult to hit him without endangering his captive.

Ashley decided to leave him for the moment. The other mage was right in front of him, and the one who knew him was close enough to decide how to deal with him on her own. Ashley instead turned her attention back to the two injured foes. With a gesture at the nearer of the two, she focused her mind to the familiar task of creating a punishing wind, hoping it would prove enough to knock the possessed captive unconscious.

Sable began to whimper a bit, this probably was not her best idea, she began to think to herself. Leaving her summoned creature to deal with the others, it was down to her against her master, a battle she could win if she unleashed her magic upon the man, but that clearly was not an option... Even if it were, he was so fast that the few times they sparred, he had always outpaced her casting ability.

Mewling pathetically like a child of her race protesting eating their veggies, Sable braced herself for something she didn't want to do, before she gave up her stance of simply trying to block her master from reaching the demon queen, and rushed forward, grabbing at her master's arm and tail and giving a hard yank, attempting to force him to give up his hold on Elea...

Since hand to hand grappling had never been something the rangers had done much practicing in, Elea found herself surprised at how handily she had managed to take hold of Sable's master. The surprise turned to shock when the catman spun her around and one arm forced painfully up by the wrist to her shoulder plates. She made a quick yelp of pain, before shutting her eyes and focusing on how she could escape her new predicament. For a second she considered attempting to stop Sable's master with her invisible chains again, but a fresh spike of pain made her realize that she would never be able to concentrate long enough to make the bindings materialize. Instead, she could only attempt to struggle out of his hold, twisting her arms and wrists to get free.

With her target now in two pieces on the ground in front of her, Tsuki turned her attention to the other slaves barring their way. Charging at one of the two still fighting the naga, she again tried to kill, rather than subdue, one of them.

((Attack one of those two slaves, doesn't matter which. If Ashley's spell doesn't take one out, then flip a coin. Should be the same attack and damage as her last attack.))

The naga slammed her tail into one of the thralled individuals who had tried to strike her, and sent the blond elven woman flying away to smack right into a wall. She crumpled, and lay very still upon the stone floor. Tsuki, meanwhile, rushed forward and cut another of the thralls in half, the last of the ones Ashley had weakened falling before her in two pieces. That left only Sables master, whom Sable herself had grabbed on to. Despite her masters obviously superior strength and skill when compared with either of them, Sable managed to help Elea free herself from the hold she had been in, and the three of them remained in place, the male Su-Ku-Ta alone against Sable and Elea.

Natalie watched from behind her shield and simply shook her head, sighing. "Really..... You can never get good help these days. It looks like I might have to deal with you myself after all. Now, all you have to do is kill him."

Ashley looks at the sole remaining thrall, then to the demoness herself. Mathias had said that knocking them out would be enough, and Ashley tended to believe the daemon more then the demon. If the man had claimed her as a slave, she would have burned him alive even so. But it wasn't her call, or even her place to comment. Better, perhaps, to take this moment to ready herself for the real battle.

Spells for enhanced strength, speed, and similar always felt wrong to Ashley, like someone else was controlling her body with magic. The fact that the someone was herself didn't help. Perhaps she just wasn't very good at them, and with practice what currently felt like something physically moving her limbs would eventually just feel like increased strength. But that wasn't here and now. And the strangeness of physical enhancement was magnified a hundred times for mental enhancement.

But while she hated doing it, and avoided it whenever possible, she had worked the necessary spell, and it did work. She started working it again now, drawing in energy and focusing it inward rather then outward, and constructively rather then destructively. She pushed as hard as she dared, because while it felt like something wriggling around inside her head as the spell took hold, she would need every possible advantage in the coming fight. She had barely touched her power since leaving hell the last time, foes going down like butterflies in a sandstorm. The demoness wouldn't be so easy.

Sable gasped as she managed to struggle her master away from Elea, panting softly as she backed away with the other woman, giving a slow nod to the naga queen nearby, the massive figure that so easily helped take out many of the others. "Just don't hurt him too badly." was all she said as she stepped back again, drawing one of her swords defensively and wielding it to force her master to stay back... or suffer a hard crack with the bluntside of the blade against his noggin'.

At the same time, drawing a second blade and holding it in an unusual two handed fighting stance, she began to motion to the others of her group. "Surround the demoness... She will surrender if she realizes she's outmatched. As soon as her shield goes down... prepare for her to attempt a counterattack... and for goodness sake, stay out of range of her nastier magics if you can avoid it! Keep your distance from one another and from her until she pushes the fight!"

... Sable... had a plan... And after seeing her companion's attempts to hold her master, everything had finally fallen into place...

Ashleys spell succeeded, allowing her to increase the power of her mind, though it would cost her some energy as well. Meanwhile, Natalie watched on in amusement as Elea and Sable manhandled Sables master, Elea holding him while Sable kept the struggling man at sword point, and held him still so that the naga queen could attack him. Her tail came about and slammed into the Su-Ku-Ta males head, and he went limp in Eleas grasp. The elf gently lowered him to the floor, and all of them turned to watch as the shield around the demon queen quickly faded. She smiled at the four women assembled against her, her arms slowly lowering to her sides as she began to glow softly. A dark violet light filled the room, and her eyes began to glow a soft blue as the demoness softly chuckled to herself. She quietly muttered; "Good luck."

It was all the warning any of them had before the glowing women blurred suddenly, and disappeared. Sable suddenly found herself unable to breathe, and was flying rapidly backwards, but just as she was about to slam into the wall some fifty feet from where she'd been standing before, she halted in midair. It was only then that she noticed the purple glow around her had intensified, and Natalie appeared, her right hand locked around Sables throat as she turned to face the rest of them, putting Sable between herself and the group. "You've bitten off a lot more than you can chew, you know. But we'll get to that in a moment. I've got to have some fun for myself, after all." The demoness grinned lewdly, and her free hand softly stroked Sables belly as she stared at Elea, Ashley, the naga and Tsuki, all of whom were clustered some fifty feet away. "Your master remembered how wonderful you felt.... How eager you were to please......" She whispered quietly, so that only Sable could hear her. "Your friends will get their turns.... But I think I'd like to taste you first." Despite the fact that Sable was probably struggling wildly in her grasp, and that Natalie was actually shorter than she was, the demoness lowered Sable down and kissed her fully on the lips, though she wasn't so bold as to offer her tongue to the struggling cat-woman.

Her master went down... still breathing... it was a relief.

She barely had a moment's rest though as the demoness rushed at her with those unnatural powers.

Dropping both swords as she was driven back so quickly to the far side of the room, Sable's body reacted instinctively to the force at her throat, claws out, slashing to free herself, her vicious paws digging violently into the woman's hand as she held Sable there, "If it's more than I can chew, then I shall have to rend it limb from limb first!" she managed to growl out through the hard hold on her throat.

The hand gently across her belly, those words of her master's memories of her, her own flashes of memories, serving faithfully, lovingly, doing anything as desired, as ordered, it brought a soft blush to her cheeks.

"Abandon your ways then... join us as equals, as allies... I am... very kind... and eager... to those who are not my enemy."

Sable gasped as those lips struck hers, her feet on the ground once more, due to the shortness of the demoness, as her eyes went wide, one hand freeing itself from clawing at the woman's hand and roughly grabbing at her body, trying to dig in shallowly, while squeezing at her breast hard and pushing away... Even against her master, at this distance, she knew it was a hopeless struggle... and this demoness was clearly stronger than her master. She only hoped her summoned naga would arrive soon to help her break free from the hold, as she squirmed in the woman's grasp...

If that kiss held forced, Sable would begin to react instinctively... used for... dubious purposes before, her tongue would dart out and try to caress Natalie's, returning the kiss despite her resistance, and firm struggling, eventually trying to slam her knee into the woman to force her away...

When the kiss did finally break, Sable's words were uttered in a harsh growl, "It's not too late... you don't have to surrender... we can be equals... Just accept that you cannot just attack our world and try to take over... and we will put an end to your dark god's plan... Even Matthias may yet be spoken with, to spare the life of your god... but only if this is truly the end of this foul plot..." her voice dropped lower, and she almost whispered back to Natalie, "Please. I just want my master back... and my world to be safe... then you may taste of me all you desire... and I am far sweeter than any stolen kiss can know..."

It was a plea for the fight to stop, it was a bargaining chip thrown into the pile, and it was a distraction she hoped she could stall the demoness with, if she refused the offers, as long as this woman was being boosted by her dark god's powers, Sable could not face her down on even terms... Magic to Magic was not an option until someone restrained her from this kind of brutal physical assault...

Ashley raised her hand, ready to summon low-pressure death on the demoness, but before she could focus her will, the demon moved in a blur of speed. The blur ended up grappling with one of Ashley's allies, and Ashley let out a curse of frustration as she quickly re-focused her will. It wouldn't do to kill one of her allies, after all, and this might even push the two apart. The familiar gust of wind formed, made even stronger by the enchantment strengthening Ashley's mind.

Natalie pulled away from the kiss after a moment, as Sable slammed her knee into the demons stomach. Natalie sighed, and said; "You just don't learn, do you?" she was interrupted from anything else she might have said, however, as Ashleys spell went off. But, even with her power magically augmented, her magic didn't seem to do much to Natalie, as the demoness simply stood there through the powerful gale of wind. Seeing Sable still hanging by her throat from the womans hand, Tsuki charged forward, her draconic form flying across the ground, and her sword cutting through the air. Natalie stepped away from the blow at the very last second, only receiving a minor wound from the blow. An arrow, shot from Eleas bow, streaked out and struck Natalie in the shoulder.

From the concentrated barrage against her, which would have killed most beings outright, Natalie simply sighed, still holding Sable by the throat, and said; "That hurt a little. About as much as stubbing my toe, maybe even pulling off a scab." She turned her gaze to Tsuki, who immediately locked up, unable to move, as the demoness invaded her mind. After a moment, Tsuki suddenly became unbearably aroused, her blood suddenly rushing through her body for reasons other than the adrenaline of combat. Natalie smiled, and said; "Since you're still being so difficult, I think I'll try her out first. She looks even more delicious than you do!~" Something suddenly sprouted out of Natalies womanhood, growing into a foot long member before Sable and Tsukis eyes in under a second, and she eyed Tsuki with almost sadistic glee. "You clearly know exactly what to do with this!"

A wall of violet light suddenly appeared in front of Natalie, interposing itself between the two groups and leaving Elea, Ashley and Sables summoned Naga on the opposite side of it. The wall went from one side of the room to the other, and the naga tried to hammer herself against the wall to no apparent effect. She turned and looked over at Ashley, saying; "Anything you can do about this?"

Ashley cursed under her breath, at the odd wall that had appeared between her and the demoness. Surely there was a spell that would help here. A pity, then, that she knew little outside her own discipline of wind, plus a little of her old master's discipline of healing. Neither was of particular help here.

"No promises, but I can try."

Well, even if she couldn't simply dispel the thing she could attack it. Her gun would do little good, that much was obvious, but bringing enough force to bear on the wall might break it, or at least force the demoness to pay attention to it instead of attacking Ashley's companions. Either would be a positive change. She raised both hands to bring the force of her will to bear on the barrier.

Against the demoness she had been forced to limit herself to avoid hurting her companions, but here there was no such danger. The naga likely wouldn't feel anything, being a reptile, but Ashley felt her hair begin to stand on end as she focused on the ground under the wall, turning it into not only a target for lightning, but something that would veritably pull lightning from the sky. The weather here might be strange, but those lights dancing in the sky said that the energy at least was there, even if the clouds weren't. Ashley felt her hair lift itself slowly off her neck as the electrical potential reached a maximum, and she jabbed at the wall with one finger extended, releasing her spell.

Sable winced as she was still held firmly, closing her eyes and beginning to chant again, struggling against this demoness was hardly an option, but maybe she could convince the woman that it wasn't in her best interest to hold so many targets all at once...

A small static charge began to run through her fur, as she build up her spell, trying to cast the most simplistic magics she knew first to give her every edge when the final conflict was pushed, the static buildup swelling as she struggled to maintain and control it despite being held fast, "Let me GO you demon whore!"

Sables spell caused electricity to crackle across her skin, and the demoness glared at her, a look of irritation more than pain. It quickly turned into a grin, however, as she said; "Now that's the spirit! Lets see what you've got, sorceress. I'm sure I'll enjoy taking every last bit of it!" She giggled slightly as Tsuki sank to her knees, still under the demons mental control, and prepared to give herself over to the demoness, her already nude body moving to bend over like a meek whore in offering. Then, Ashleys spell went off, and thunder cracked the sky above. Natalie looked up in confusion just before a bolt of lightning, not much different form one that Sable herself might conjure, came down from the sky and slammed into the wall that Natalie had put in place between herself the rest of the group. The wall of force cracked, crumbled, and then disappeared altogether under the force of the bolt, which also caused the ground to shake and Natalie to wince in pain.

As her summoned naga surged forward, bloodlust in her eyes, an arrow streaked out form Elea, slamming into Natalies right shoulder with a low thump and drawing a growl of pain. Tsuki seemed to have recovered due to the bolts effects, and the dragon-woman shook her head in confusion for a moment before her gaze became murderous once more. Taking up her greatsword, Tsuki slashed across at Natalie, her body a blur of motion, and a fountain of blood appeared from her throat. Her growl became a gargle, but the effect was only brief, as Natalies supernatural healing once more took over. She spoke, her voice at first a croak before returning to normal mid-sentence; "That's it, I was going to make this nice on you, but now, I think I'll just have to punish you." Her grip became iron hard on Sables throat, and she glared enraged at the dragoness in front of her.

Ashley, still frustrated that she can't use her more powerful attacks for fear of destroying her allies, sends another concentrated blast of wind at the demoness. Her will focused and she gestured imperiously in a practiced manner, and the wind howled as it sped at its target with force enough to knock the air from her lungs. Or enough force if she had been mortal, which she wasn't, but still a great deal of force.

Ashley's wind hammered once more against Natalie's body, and this time the demoness tossed Sable aside in order to dodge another arrow shot from Elea. Her wounds seemed to be catching up to her, however, as another slash from Tsuki landed, this one cutting into the demon queen's belly and practically disemboweling her before she could pull away. The summoned naga made good on it's promise, and slammed it's massive, powerful tail into the demon's body, sending her stumbling back. Natalie backed away from her attackers as the naga and Tsuki advanced, moving toward the wall whilst issuing a threatening hiss, her wounds already healing and her eyes glowing bright, but Sable, still lying on the floor, raised a hand toward her.

Lightning smashed through the ceiling of the prison again, but this time it was brighter and wider than what Ashley had conjured. This lightning slammed down directly onto it's target, the demon queen, and all four of the assembled women smelled the sizzling of flesh as it burned her. Even though it seemed like it should have been impossible, with the bright bolt of lightning still striking down upon her, Natalie screamed. It wasn't like anything any of them had ever heard, a cry so filled with rage and impotent fury that suddenly turned to soul-searing agony, it's volume enough to drown out the sound of the falling hellblast and the damage it was doing to the stone.

Once it was over, the lightning had abated, Sable promptly threw up, but after a moment or two, the Su-Ku-Ta managed to regain her feet, however shakily. Natalie was a burnt husk on the floor, and not a one of them thought that she could possibly regenerate from that. All of them were left wondering just what they were going to do now, when the voice of Matthias issued into their ears, the daemon appearing in their midst without any dramatic sign of his arrival. "Time to leave."

And with that, they and the thralls they had fought, or at least the ones that were still alive, vanished. Darkness took them all for a moment, but then....

They reappeared within a warehouse with a hole in the side. Elea recognized it, though none of the others had ever been there. Darkness surrounded them, pushed away only by the glow of the daemon in the middle of them, the light containing a slightly crimson bend to it. "Good work. And goodbye." Those were the last words any of them ever heard from the daemon, and as the light vanished, and the world began to quake. A violet glow that had been unnoticeable while Matthias was present from outside flashed for a moment, becoming almost blinding even through the walls of the factory for just a few seconds. Then, it vanished, leaving them in almost total darkness.

Each was left to pursue their own path, after that.

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Ashley left Artmirst behind, spending one more night in the manor house and in the morning starting a new journey. It was time to stop wandering. It had been a long time since the death of her teacher, and if her time in Artmirst had taught her one thing, it was that she still had a good deal to learn. And after that... well, maybe a good teacher could help her there as well.

Perhaps she could find another wizard living in a tower. Or better yet, she had heard of a school for magic, an Academy. That would be a long journey. And while she had been born not fifty miles from this hill, the top of which gave her last sight of the ruined city, she had still come a good deal further then she had left to go. But there was no rush.
