Due to her quick retreat, Zeyra manages to evade the group of angry eels who rush back to their springs when the water becomes too cold for them. They still, however, seem to be waiting near the edge of their springs for her to get close enough. Standing in the cool water, Zeyra must consider what she is going to do: she could probably retrieve her gear and continue washing it in the cooler section of the pool, or she could take it and leave probably having to wash it in one of the icy pools later.

Well, either cold or colder water, zeyra would heve to get her stuff first. Her plan is deceptively simple: go over there, grab her stuff, and make it back before any of those eel things have the time to catch her.

Zeyra manages to grab her stuff and flee back to the cooler parts of the pool, but not before 4 of the eels catch up and violently ram themselves into her. Back at the cooler section, Zeyra can already notice the large bruises on her legs where the eels broke blood vessels under her skin. She can also feel the squirming of the eel inside of her as it seems to make itself comfortable.

Zeyra takes the hits with a wince for each one, and wriggles around with the one inside of her. She has all of her stuff though, and she decides to wash it in the colder section, as she really wanted clean stuff now. If she ended up having to put dirty clothes on, she'd have to wash herself, and that would be horrible in the ice water she's found everywhere else.

Zeyra manages to wash her clothes and gear without further incident from the eels, who mostly watch her from their area of warmth without risking entering areas that are too cold for them.

Now that all of her stuff was clean, she went to work making herself a new article of clothing to cover her legs with. She tore a strip about two feet wide off of her winter blanket and wrapped it around her waist, tying it off with some rope to make an impromptu dress. It wasn't the most fasionable thing, but it gave her her modesty back, and that was important. That done, she carefully picked her way along to one of the dry entrances and climbed up, put on her clothes, armour, and backpack, and set off once again.

After about half an hour of navigating the twisting passages, Zeyra comes out in a new chamber. This one, like many others, had a stream of water running through it. The water flowed in on one side before following the outer edge of the chamber to the opposite side before going off into another passage. Aside from that, the only other entrance into the room was the passage that Zeyra had come through. The most striking thing about the room was not anything about the stream, though, but rather several small pools of blue liquid that filled in several indents in the floor. The few near the stream occasionally rippled, but those nearest the dry entrance which Zeyra had come through, were motionless. As she views the room, Zeyra does come to realize that she has grown rather hungry as her last meal was the plant seed yesterday and that her waterskin is near empty.

(Although I won't presume for eating, but I will presume that if you have been drinking from your waterskin as most people tend to drink quite a bit per day, especially when hiking about)

((Makes sense. Also, I tend to only eat one meal a day, and this tends to follow through with my characters subconsciously, so I tend to take forever to go through rations fairly slowly. Water though, I drink like its... Well, like its water, I guess :p ))

Zeyra takes another sip from her waterskin, noticing the low level of it as she scans the room. The blue pools of liquid drew her attention, but the only ones that did anything were close enough to the moving water to be explained by the occasional spray from that, so she chalked it down to a strange mineral in the water and started to pick her way around them, going for the stream.

Zeyra seems to have no trouble reaching the stream. If there was anything in the pools near it, either they couldn't leave the fluid, or they weren't interested in her.

Zeyra drinks her fill and tops off her waterskin, pretty much having to leave it up to chance whether or not the water has any dangerous minerals in it.

The water is the same icy cold from other places in the caves, leaving Zeyra with a somewhat unpleasant choice: when she wanted to leave she would either need to go back the way she came, or wade through the freezing water.

Having had enough wading through ice water when she arrived here, Zeyra picked her way back around the blue pools on her way back the way she came.

Walking back along her previous passage, Zeyra notices something she missed before. Right at one bend in the passage a small crack led a short ways into another chamber. Previously the angle she had approached the bend at had hidden the passage, but now she could see both it and some of the chamber beyond. Surprisingly enough, the roof of chamber on the other side was apparently high that the sourceless light that filled the caverns didn't reach it. It might even be that it had no roof and was a way out. Still, Zeyra had to decide if she wanted to take this new passage or head back to the eel room.

Not particularly eager to wade across that pool and get any more bruises, Zeyra chooses the new path, wandering in staring at the darkened ceiling.

Looking up as she enters the room, Zeyra notices a few clumps of something higher up where the light doesn't reach that seem to be trailing vines, but nothing that seems to be moving around. The room itself, however seems to be rather large and crossed by streams several times sometimes with the streams even meeting or diverging. From where she stands she can see several of them have either natural stone arches above them which she could probably use as bridges or fallen stones she could probably hope across, although if Zeyra wants to go to the other side she will need to wade at least a few of the streams. On the other side she does notice quite a few passages one of which actually having a light glow coming from it.

Spotting the glow on the other side of the cavern, Zeyra begins making her way across to it, though she stops at a high point to cast a small light spell and send it up as far as she could, more out of curiosity than anything else.

Unfortunately for Zeyra, the light not only reveals, but wakes up what she might have wanted to avoid. Seen with light, the clumps in the darkness above her are shown to be large bags of some sort of floating gas trailing tentacles below them, presumably to grab their prey. Woken by Zeyra's light, the creature above her makes what sounds to be a sighing sound as it releases air from it bag, letting it drop swiftly towards her to stabilize only a short distance above her. It then immediatly sends out two of its larger tendrils out at her only one of which she manages to avoid. The other one grabs her around the waist and begins to lift her into the air.

((E gads, remind me again why I didn't bring a slashing weapon along on this little adventure o_O ))

Zeyra jumped when the thing attacked her, but she somehow kind of expected it anyways, and managed to keep a cool head, swinging her morningstar at the tentacle that had a hold of her before she was lifted too far into the air to risk being dropped.

Although she manages to hit the tentacle holding her, her morning star only hits it with the ball and not the spikes cause the tentacle to merely bend out of the way slightly. The creature directs its other four large tentacles and the one that Zeyra dodge before at her. Apparently either not wishing to duplicate its efforts or simply not bright enough to make sure her arms are secured first, only one tentacle is sent at each arm, both of which Zeyra manages to move her arms out of the way of. The other three, however, are more accurate as Zeyra feels two of them shoot beneath her improvised skirt, one thrusting into her pussy with only a little force and a small jolt of pleasure and the other into her ass which mostly results in pain. The last wraps itself around Zeyra's throat and begins to squeeze it making it difficult to breathe.

(2 points of non-lethal damage)

Zeyra struggled some more, surprised that the creature would try to strangle her. It also had the unfortunate side effect of cutting her off from her spells for the time being. She swung again, this time aiming for the one around her neck.
