why i cant see the chat
and not the hp ? and no the status and insted of how much dmg i did i see [.P]
All thing considered, I was hugely disappointed.
Personally, I enjoyed Sangeki most so far, though I do prefer Rhodes (I think that's her name) because it felt more like an RPG and had a LOT more locations - though I didn't much enjoy having to grind to have a chance against the stronger enemies. It does have one or two things I like more, though:
A main love interest that isn't dependent on mind breaking
Utterly gorgeous main character without boobs that go "bloop"
Lack of grinding (which, in this game's case works but feels more like a bizarre mix between ARPG, TRPG and ADVRPG)
Having to think about my attack and defense
But as for what I didn't like:
Scale Garden's modus operandi of "You're gonna get raped. You've been raped, now go do whatever". I think the next one needs a hard-to-find way out of being raped.
Less emphasis on the discovery element of RPGs
Feeling trapped in the fort even during Free mode
Not being told how to use special skills
One weapon upgrade and one only - there's swords all over the place
Needing equipment to made evasion more likely
Lack of choice *
Ugly-ass villains **
Moronic childhood friend
Scenes that could have had more but didn't ***
* I'd have liked the chance to go back to castle and confront the King about what Lord Wolf said.
** Seriously. This has to change. What about a handsome, dashing, charismatic and well-dressed guy that happens to be the main villain? That ugly bald guy in this game made me want to make the game world more beautiful - though he's not all bad, just mostly. It seems to me that there's always some kind of oily bald guy in SG's games. Change is good.
*** Voyeurs at the lake comes to mind, so does hide the clothes instead of taking them. He could have looked the hero, too - by staging a confrontation with the other guards to return her clothes. That would have been more interesting.
What I never understood is why she doesn't just hole up in the woods for a while instead of jumping into bed with the main villain.
Given that there was nothing to do in the fort besides repeat scenes over and over, it got dull quickly. I never really understood why there was a brothel stuck where it was. If it wasn't a brothel, then what was it?
So much of this game seems "tacked on". I wanted to buy this, but I'm actually glad I didn't.
That room full of skeletons - wtf do I do the get that open? Seems like there's a lot of blind alleys like that that were left out for some reason.
Did you use a translation program? Did you go back to goblin village and fight cyclops?
Found the earring to raise evade kinda late. Started over and got them as soon as I could. Godsend.qs1988 said:I'm pretty sure there are:
hints that appear and instruct you about skills and how they can be learnt and recovered
equipments that raise evasion
can't deny the part about ugly villains, but they are villains afterall and their looks are pretty standard in scgarden's previous games
Rhodes chose to be Wolf's woman so that he would spare Alfred's life. She don't need to hide in the woods, she can just return to her home, but Alfred's life will be gone by then.
if by brothel u mean the cult's hideout, it's a place for the cult to use "divination" as a mean to pull people into their cult. it's slightly different from a brothel since they operate in a secretive way
About the ugly villains, I'll not change my standpoint on the fact that it needs to change. Next time I might see someone who doesn't make me want to hurl.
Can someone provide a new mega link for the translation patch (or a translated copy of the game)? The previous one is broken. Thanks.
You have it in my sig. (Middle one)
Your OS doesn't mean anything. I'm running Win7 as well, and oddly had no problems.
* Working from memory, don't have this glorified KN anymore
But I just want to ask a couple of things:
1) Have you Overwritten files that the patch asks for permission?
You have to.
2) Have you moved/deleted the RGSSAD file?
This is a must, as well.
If you've done both of these, switch your computer to Japanese Locale. Applocale isn't really that good. There are some games that actively hate the thing. NTLEA I just couldn't get to work at all.
If, after the reset, your still getting nothing but box shapes in the text box, change it back to RGSS104J.
This is really all that I can think of that would be any help.
I have that problem only when I put RGSS102J. With RGSS104J I have it all works perfectly. The only difference I can see is that you probably have English locale or maybe some other and I have Japanese locale. Try downloading APPLOCALE("h**p://www .microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13209"]LINK) program and starting the game through it with Japanese locale.
Here's a link for my 104J. It should be the same as yours, but you never know.

EDIT:
I just read your post to the end...
I see you have been using applocale, but are you sure you did it right? In Applocale you have to select the last one... h**p://i57.tinypic.com /24ycn04.png
Yes, I used the last from the list in applocale (although applocale doesn't bring it up himself like it usually do).
As for the .dll I got it from madman3237 link a bit before in the thread.
As for the local, it's in French (although it would be suprising if that the reason - but you never know)
Out of the lurking once again I go.
Damn it has been some time since its release already. Does anyone think about picking it up for translation? Sure, some guys didn't like it as much as his last work.
But damn. I dunno. Rhode grew more on me than the other heroines.
