    Re: Chaos (Glenn;Ryu)

When they landed, Aurine noted his words. "Such a shame, drenched is a good look for you." she said, before she'd raise her hand and Glenn would feel like he was being dried with hot air coming from the mermaid from behind.

Meanwhile, Isabell would perk up at the mention of a colleague. "... I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm curious as to how you learned about her so quickly, considering how fast the news reached me." she stated. "Yes, you see... This colleague of mine happens to be that useless Magi technician I mentioned to you so long ago. While you were busy neglecting to keep your creature in check, that mimic went to my technician building and made contact with her old mentor. The same one that caused her frame to be broken, allow her soul to slip out, develop sentience, and then fall into the damned ocean." she cursed. "Then, that's when Shiva appeared, kidnapping your pet mimic and taking her here, even fighting and threatening the former Magi technician when she tried to keep it. Since it seemed like Shiva was getting out of control, I have come here to arrest her. Now you arrive once again to contradict whatever path I take that I'd think aligns with yours. Do you EXIST to infuriate me, Glenn?" she said with an angry huff. "I swear, if something happened with this new guest as well... I'm not sure if my patience could withstand it." she sighed, a hand on her head.

When Glenn seemed to assume Shiva was captured, Queen rose an eyebrow. "What makes you think I captured her? Can't you see that this is still a crime scene in progress? It's my 'colleague' as you called her that has secured Sona, if that's it's name. She's not allowed to do any tampering further in the name of science since she performed so poorly, she's yet another third party that moved on her own while I'm trying to keep the peace. I seem to be getting a lot of those lately. Either way, I didn't command her to do it. I wouldn't send someone in alone anyway. Not with the lunatic just over the horizon. I'm sure she sees Sona as her redemption. But that's far from my concern right now." she stated. "We're currently ready to open fire at Shiva. We've sent in a group of six, but lost radio contact. Their life signs are stable, so we're holding out since we assume she has them as hostages."

Then, a scream came from the shack ahead. "BACK THE FUCK UP, I HAVE HOSTAGES!"

Queen turned her head, looked at the path ahead, blinked, and then looked back. "So, she has hostages. I think you're right though. You're the perfect defusal for this situation." she said, before turning to her armed security. "Let him through. He's going to go negotiate." she declared, before they nodded, allowing Glenn to pass. "Failing your approach, I'm going in with force. Come hell or high water I will make Shiva kneel. You're welcome to try your method against the lunatic." she stated firmly, as if not too interested in playing games anymore.

Displeasure ran across Glenn's face when he heard Sona's old owner was the colleague that had been seen, which ran even further when the news she had acquired the mimic was given. "That's who that was? Why was she anywhere near one of your departments? You know what... I don't want to know. Can you get a group together to separate the two and retrieve Sona, and then bring Sona back here and send her in after me? It'll help the efforts." He insisted, before nodding at Isabel and then moving past the security detail just enough to be visible. "Shiva... let them go. If you want a hostage... if you want to be mad at someone... I'm right here." He declared as he called out, walking forward slow enough towards the shack while keeping his hands up for the mad merc girl to see as he approached.

Isabell rolled her eyes. "Most likely got the info from Moei, and headed over to her apartment." she stated, then sighed at the request. "... Glenn, I..." she looked frustrated. "We're going to have a talk after this. A desperately needed talk." she said, looking stressed out.

Then, approaching Shiva, once he was visible he barely got a word in before a bolt flew right past his face. Then another right across his opposite cheek, barely missing both times. "The second shot was to show that I didn't MISS!" she declared. "You, of all mother fucking people, are being sent to negotiate with ME!? With Sona resigning herself to being a fucking soulless golem to that freakshow, to you literally almost making us crash right into Anubis! The only reason I didn't put a bolt in your fucking skull is because I'd deprive myself the satisfaction of SQUEEZING YOUR FUCKING EYES!" she growled. "She was a good girl, Glenn! You were her world, and she does one bad thing and you fucking send her into a depression!? She was actin' like you never wanted to see her again! I WON'T STAND FOR THIS HORSESHIT, YOU HEAR ME!?" she roared. "I'M THE ONE OUT THERE PROTECTING HER, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU!? Off being an asshole to someone else I imagine!" she assumed with her voice cracking from her high pitch. "Now you're here to be an asshole to me again! You know what? BRING IT! Come on in, Glenn! I'LL GIVE YOU A FIRST CLASS LESSON IN MOTHER FUCKING KARMA! You awful sonovabitch!" she said, sounding like she was crying near the end.

          Re: Chaos (Glenn;Ryu)

He flinched as the bolts flew by, fear rising in his chest at each pass, and then felt the rising unease of the air in his chest as Shiva screamed bloody murder at him. The muscles on his face twitching as he tried to keep a straight face. An act that became all the more harder when the merc girl's talk shifted to Sona, and the apparent hopelessness he had inspired in the girl. Thoughts of his own outburst that caused it feeding a feeling of shame onto him that sapped at him from within. If only he hadn't lost his temper then. He cursed inwardly that he reacted that way, and more so that he didn't think anything of it then. How stupid he had been. By the time he reached close to the merc girl's shack her tirade was at it's end, and it wasn't lost on him how cracked up the girl's voice became. He really had left more than one impression on her.

He was dangerously close to the Shiva, and in her crazed state he doubted there wasn't anything she couldn't do if she were up to it. He found it hard to muster a voice past his lips, but he eventually managed. "I'm n-not here that Shiva. I'm here because I d-don't want you to do anything else that you'll regret. I don't want to see you get hurt and because... I was wrong..." He admitted to her, letting out a quick breath. "I s-should've trusted you... like you did with Sona and I... and that you knew what was best. But after dealing with things that used their scent and fluids to control me... I know that's not really an excuse but damn it Shiva! If you're gonna take us off somewhere you got to give a guy a little more something to work with than 'it's important go get it'. Maybe if we were further along but now? You gotta go into a little more detail about things!" He exasperated, feeling blood from the cheek wounds at the edge of his mouth.

"And Sona... " He flinched visibly as he fought to keep himself in check. "I knew she didn't like what I said but this... I just wanted her to cut it out. Not leave forever! She's the last person I'd ever want to see just vanish... I'd see her old master kicked into the sea by my own foot before I would ever want her gone!" He said with a mix of frustration and anger, followed by another bout of that airy pull. He went to wipe the blood off his face, not even realizing something strange about him being upset until it dawned on him what it was. It wasn't all blood on his cheek... there were tears too. The realization of this seemed to startle him fiercely, as he took the time to remove his gloves to inspect it with disbelief. And he found himself questioning then whether it was wise to stop it or not. 'I'm... crying? I don't cry anymore... not since...'

Shiva let out a sigh. "Sweet words, but you're missing the point. It's not about trust, it's about seeing the results with your own eyes. I showed you skill, I showed you knowledge, and you gave me credit for neither. Your problem is that you already have it all worked out in your head. You think you already know how things should be, and how things are going to go. The moment something deviates from what you like, you lose control. You have no adaptability, no responsibility for the unseen. That's why I left you behind. You can't handle a bad situation." she announced. "You were too focused on your ideal wants to realize that this is reality. A place where you can't always get what you want, when you want it. Are you actually sorry, or are you just trying to get my mind to commit to rhetoric that will serve your purposes?" she inquired. "Just like how you let her go? Did you assume that in her suffering, she'd find a path that aligned to your desires alone? That it was FINE that someone you cared about was hurt? If that's true, then you don't love her. You only love your ideal image of her, and if you come to learn more about her, that love will fade. People like you are always the same." she declared.

"Come inside. I'm not letting my guard down either. Move so much as a single thread around me, and I 'will' drop you." she said. When he drew near, he'd see her poised with a handbow, aimed at his center. Her eyes were cold in the dark shack, and there were various magi soldiers bound by arms and legs laying on the floor, with fetish gags around their mouths. "I will quote, tell me how true all of this is. Apprehend Shiva. Don't let her into my room. And then what... Something about asking those foot soldiers to manhandle Sona for you?" she inquired. "You're a real Kingpin, huh? You don't seem to have a clue. Does all that come naturally to you? I bet you don't even have a clue why I think you deserve a bolt in your chest. I bet you think I'm wrong, or crazy. You might be right, but I know being wrong never crossed your fucking mind." she said with venom. "The more I get to know you, the more everything I leaned make sense about you. You used to have a chosen soul, right? It's becoming increasingly clear why it was taken away from you. At first I sympathized with you, thought, he's just like me. Someone misunderstood and down on his luck. We'll be best pals." she said with a grin, which quickly faded.

"... You're not my friend." she said with a monotone voice. "You never thought I was your friend either. Wish I had known that sooner, would have saved me a heartbreak. But as we both know, you LOVE springing bad news on people." she chuckled, a half smirk on her face. "The reason you're afraid right now, stuttering, is because you don't know if I will kill you. Which is ridiculous, I made the important fact known that only if you crossed me, would I put you down. Now, I don't quite know how you did it, but you found an interesting way to come so close to crossing me without me being able to justify turning you into a man counting worms... But you know what I think?" her eyes became wide, like an owl looking at it's prey. "I think that I'm a dead girl when you have that shard. I think that fish girl you spoke about is gonna die to you as well. How far am I from the truth?" she inquired. "Not that I can trust the answer, but humor me." she chuckled. "I think that Isabell is fucked when you have that shard. I think a lot of people are going to suffer, except for those whom you favor. I mean, look at what you've done so far. If you actually had power over people? That's really fucking scary, man." she laughed.

Then, she only laughed some more. "... I'll tell you right here, and right now... I can single handedly get you your shard back. And believe me, I know very well that it's gone. I'm not sure if it's the lack of a tumor in your soul that's turning you into a sociopath, but hoo boy..." she giggled. "How does that make you feel? And what if I told you right after, that the last thing I'm ever going to do is allow you to get a shard? Tell me, Glenn, because this is more important than your ass can comprehend... What are you going to do, knowing that I'm in the way? Do you still trust me? Are you still wrong? Or is this white haired bitch in front of you suddenly got a gravestone with her name on it?" she inquired, her eyes veiny and filled with bloodlust. "If you tell me honestly that I've got to go, I will allow you a fair chance at stopping me. That I promise. This fight has been coming for ya anyway. Show me what matters the most to you."

              Re: Chaos (Glenn;Ryu)

Glenn continued to tremble through Shiva's tirade, gaping somewhat through a number of her more impassioned responses while visible shaking his heads at her words. His heart aching horribly at the tone of it all. "It's true that I asked for those things but it wasn't to... I wasn't going to..." He stammered in hurt disbelief at Shiva even implying he'd do more than simply sort things out. And when she implied about her own fate as well as the others if he were to receive his shard back he visibly twitched that she would even think that ill of his intent. He wanted the thing back to help people not hurt them!

When she spoke of being an obstacle his trembling grew less, and combined with what she wished him to humor her with her grew more silent and calm than he had been. Taking his eyes away from the merc girl that he had ceased to calm when they had entered the home. What would he do he she were an obstacle... "It makes me feel... angry... and hurt. I don't want you to be in the... no screw that... I don't want you or anyone to think of me that way!" He expressed throwing his hands in the air, a few trembles returning to him. "I'd never even consider wanting to kill you or Isabel or Sona or anyone unless I truly had too; an absolute last resort. And yet you think I'm gonna do it at the drop of a hat when it's convenient! I don't want you to get hurt or to die Shiva... either to the Magi outside or as a 'sacrifice' to the lord of the dead. I thought to go alone to meet her so that she wouldn't even had the opportunity to consider doing that to you..."

He strengthened up then, steadying himself as he glanced at her crossbow still trained on him. "And even with what Aurine has done from the start... with as crazy as she is about me... unless she tried to truly hurt others I wouldn't take things that far. People... they deserve to be able to live their lives in peace without fear of villains showing up to bring ruin around them. That's something I believe in, completely and utterly. If I had that power... I'd wish that I'd only have to use it to make people's lives better like I used to. Back before I knew what it was like to take someone's life. But I'd still be prepared to use fully if I had too. Perhaps you don't believe that... I suppose you have a lot of reasons not to. If you still truly feel that I'd be that horrible and that much of a threat with my shard and things would be better without me then... shoot. I won't stop you... I don't think I could honestly. Though if you don't want to fail aim right here. My heart is this side for me." He revealed to her, tapping his right breast. "Before you do though... just promise me one thing... that you'll protect Isabel. That you'll protect the Magi..."

Her eyes were half-lidded through his explanation, and at the mention of shooting him, she rolled her eyes. "I suppose english isn't your first language. I'm not going to kill you for shits and giggles. I wasn't going to kill you even if you attacked me." she sighed. "Just shoot you in the limb and then knock you the fuck out. Honestly, you truly don't have a clue." she chuckled. "Hah, well, despite that heartfelt speech, my opinion remains the same. You simply aren't worthy of it. But let me say this officially, since now's a good time. My name is Shiva Fyre, step sister to the one you know, Cynthia Fyre. I don't worship Fate though, I just help my little sister out when she asks. You know what you can do though? Instead of sending grunts to go do your fucking dirty work, you can solve your own fucking problems. Go to One-eleven Emperor Drive, that's where that freak lives. Don't let Sona see some foot soldier show up and try to explain that you want to see her. Don't let her think that that's how little you care. Show up your own damned self and show some humility. Or I'll kick you in your balls. Now go back, tell those fucking cops to get lost, and head up the mountain a bit. My bike will be ready when you're ready to take responsibility. Though if you do want me to help you, don't ever fucking touch my handle bars ever again. You lost that privilege." she said firmly.

"Unless you chicken out, then I'll be gone, so don't fuck around." she ushered at him with her handbow. "Go."

                  Re: Chaos (Glenn;Ryu)

The man looked dumbfounded at the girl before the name finally sunk in. She was the Crow's sister? If he had to guess anyone to be somebody's sister he would have imagined them to at least look the same. At least in terms of the limbs they had. Shiva certainly didn't seem very bird like in that regard. She quickly spoke of the soldiers and what he needed to do in regards with Sona, and hearing this the man nodded with taking steps back towards the entrance. "I'll be very honest... if there is someone who I might actually want to kill it'll be Sona's old master. I've got about as much love for them as you do for me right now. I'm not going to kill them of course but I can't promise that they won't get ruffed up if it comes to it. I'll be back..." He said before turning and leaving the shack.

"Everyone stand down. There is nothing to see here." He dismissed of the crowd of enforcement Magi, before approaching Isabel herself with his distraught appearance. "It w-would be best if you called off your forces I-Izzy. Shiva's agreed to keep helping. But first there is something I have to do. How close are those soldiers to retrieving Sona? I need you to call them off... yes I know Izzy..." He preempted the Magi leader before she aired any frustrations. "I'm going to go handle this my mess on my own... like I should have before." He then let out a heavy sigh, trembling a little before he brought himself close to Isabel, hugging the Magi leader with a suddenness. "Thank you for everything Izzy. I know it hasn't been easy... and we'll still talk if you want to. Somewhere private perhaps over lunch or... ah well you decide really..."

Pulling away from her, the man regarded his surroundings before he spotted one of the vehicles from the motorcade. "Which way to Emperor Drive?" He asked the cyclists, and once he received an answer he'd give his thanks before atypically jumping one of the bikes and pouring his energy into it. "Sorry! I've got borrow this! I'll bring it back!" He shouted before racing off up the mountain with the vehicle, finding it quite different than Shiva's rocket of a bike. Mainly because he could actually control the thing much better. 'Alright Glenn, just get there and get Sona back. You can't let her get taken back by her old master like this over a misunderstanding. Who knows what that fool will do to her...' He prepped to himself in thought.

When he finally reached the building in question the man rode to a stop, practically jumping off the bike and rushing into lobby of the residential building. "I'm looking for someone. A mimic with blue hair with twin-tails?" He asked before rushing off to search for her. Calling out to her by name if need be. He just had to find the mimic girl before something terrible happened... and if it did...

"Relax, killer. Your opinion will probably change. She still has all her limbs for a reason." she declared, before Glenn left, seemingly with no interest on bringing Shiva along to help.

Going outside, his requests were met with the dead gaze of Isabell, who stood there as if she'd been sapped of all willpower. Though his hug seemed to bring something out of her. At first, all it was, was silence. She let out a hum of thought, before looking at him as if he had become crazy. "What did she do to you in there?" she inquired. Though she wouldn't get much of an answer, before he took to stealing a hoverbike. Flying it was awkward without Shiva's help, but her crash course made him understand enough to move where he wanted to. Just not with any accuracy. "No! My bike!" called out a male magi soldier... Leaving Isabell and the others in the dust. As she watched Glenn sail off, Isabell looked to her Sargent. "Call my therapist, tell him he's a rich man." she concluded.

                    (Music Used - Window Licking)

One spotty trip to Shiva's destination later, with directions in hand, he found he would have been fine without them, as Emperor drive was plain in view, leading to a lot of smaller houses that looked like metal bricks held together by bolts. This area seemed a bit different, as if an area for the more wealthy. Those who could afford to live without being in a residential building. Either that, or they were placed here to remove them from being nuisances. Such as it was, it was a neighbor to the area that he was questioning. "Hrm?" hummed a woman with white, long hair with only slight wrinkles to show her age, but her timeless eyes gave far more away. She still looked firm and attractive as well. But it was somehow clear she was at least sixty. "Why, yes. There was such a girl following that hermit into the house next door. Why do you ask, young man?" she inquired. "They seemed like friends. Tis good to see that shut-in next door talking with people." she stated.

Assuming Glenn just ran off straight to the house, he'd find the security very lax. In fact, the front door was unlocked. He was able to charge right in. There seemed to only be two rooms in sight. one was the one he was in, a very large room with it's own kitchen, living room, and bedroom, and an assumed bathroom in the corner. It seemed like the most basic way of living. Though, the house was mostly barren, a fridge, stove, bed, and laboratory like the one he had in his room present, with an android very familiar to him laying on the bed. One a computer screen, he got his eyes and on what seemed to be a loose schematic of what she was building.

Inside the room, was the inoperative android, and a girl, who gasped at his entry and fetched her coat. It hardly hid anything. She looked at the intruder in silence. She looked flustered, and defensive at his sudden appearance. It seemed like she was someone who didn't talk much. "... Glenn?" she inquired with a faint whisper. No sign of her vocal cords being used at all. She called out his name with a murmur alone. Sona was not in sight. But his mind's eye told him that there was no doubt. Sona's power was coming out in a powerful rainbow aura around the golem.

After calling his name, it seemed she did nothing else. He couldn't detect an ounce of hostility from her. She struck him as a total vegetarian. Someone who wasn't used to dealing with people, let alone upset ones. The ball was casually rolled into his park it seemed.

Glenn wasted no time in barging into the unlocked home, gazing around at the bare necessities that it was furnished with. The place barely looked better than the room he was using back in his own residence. Unlike his own residence there was a very familiar looking golem laying stretched out on an operating table. One that he recognized instantly as the golem design that Sona was based in, and that he opted to change when designing Jill. Despite being inoperative, he could sense the threads of a soul leaking from out of it in a rainbow of color. It had to be Sona's! He wasn't alone he found, and though he braced himself to be facing Sona's cruel master he wasn't prepared for their appearance. Where he expected someone rough and gruff, it was instead a soft murmur spoken girl who, had he not known of their history, may have been just another cute face among the crowd to him.

She wasn't hostile he could see, despite him being the intruder. Still, it would be better to be cautious for the moment. "Yeah... yeah I'm Glenn. If you know who I am then you know why I'm here." He spoke to her, before turning his gaze back to the Sona golem. His fingers trailing over her check before he felt a pain of regret stab through him. "Oh Sona... how could I be so stupid... I just wanted you ease up on a few things..." He whispered sadly, wetness returning to his eyes once more. "What were you planning on doing to Sona? Were you going to try to fix her again? Like you did last time?" He insinuated with some anger before a moment passed and a realization came to the man. "No... you aren't trying to fix Sona now... you're trying to fix yourself. You're trying to make up for what you did before?"

Shooting glances between the girl and the golem holding Sona, Glenn shook his head. "I'm sorry but I can't let you do that with Sona's soul. A new soul perhaps... and I'd even be willing to help you do right this time if you'd like but... not with Sona's. Not to the mimic I couldn't bare to lose." He insisted to the girl before looking back at Sona with concern. "I don't want you to be another mindless golem Sona. You irk me sometimes but... I... I love you the way you are. Your bright and bubbly self... who always thinks good of people. Please Sona..." He pleaded with the inanimate golem housing the mimic girl's soul, hanging his head when it seemed like she wouldn't be saying anything.

Thoughout most of what Glenn said, he was only replied to with silence and at best, stammering. It felt like the social implications of yelling at a child, that's how little presence Glenn felt from her. When Glenn came forth, she reached out a hand in weak protest to stop him from doing anything. But it didn't stop him at all as he felt Sona possess a far different cheek than he'd remember. Before, Sona felt like a cloud, so obviously not real that she had her own texture. Now, it felt like he was touching a real cheek. Made of flesh and possessing bone. Asking his questions to her, the girl stood, arms folded over herself as if to hide how she was dressed. She shook her head on both accounts. Then, at his plea for her to release Sona, she shook her head slowly. "I'm... Fixing her..." she declared. "She... S-she found the power of Fate. The... Goddess' power flows through her. Before... Before it fades... If I can harness it... I will be forgiven..." she declared. "If it was you... Thank you... But..." She shook her head, looking flustered. "... Her soul... Is constantly fading away... Emotional trauma strengthens the decay... She... Was going to die within the day... Like a ghost of a human soul. She needs her body back..." she seemed like she needed to stress that issue. "She told me... She wanted to be controlled. Her choices caused her great pain. To have love and feel like you lost it... Please... Just give me some time... C-137 must recover, she isn't ready to be awoken until The Dream has passed. I-If you persist... I will be force to... S-stop you..." she said fearfully, as if unsure if she should go to such lengths, but looking rather adamant about her position.

"I don't want... to hurt anyone, so please, let her sleep. This artificial soul is proof that... That the Theory of Sentience is correct. She is precious... She might hold the answer to the beginning of creation." she tried to appeal in a most Magi way. Though she still looked meek, Glenn could see it in her eyes. She was ready to scrap. In her own way.

Knowing now who actually possessed his shard of fate, and given the agreement that was done the man could only conclude one thing. That Aurine had been keeping Sona alive the whole time. If what the former Magi said was true she had been in a state of decay from the moment she had been cast away. And between getting power from Aurine and draining his own, she had been sustaining herself. Whether that kind of existence, or how extreme it may be, was the same for other mimics the man didn't know for sure. The revelation left the man conflicted. His gut instantly telling him the girl must be lying... and yet if she was telling the truth Sona really was in dire straights. And had been the whole time without him even fully realizing. Those long ago comments she said to him about how she might just die leaving an eerie impact now...

"Well it wasn't entirely me but..." He began before shaking his head of the comment. "What is this... Dream going to do? How is it going to change her? Will she not be a mimic anymore... or will she just have a hard body to anchor herself to now." He asked, curious as to what she was actually doing. It had occurred to the man before to potentially make the mimic some kind of new hard shell to inhabit but... he had never thought to ask. She seemed rather happy how she was. "She has a name you know... I... think she'd prefer to be called by it. C-137 is a pretty sad name for sapient don't you think?" Glenn softly chastised her, before turning fully toward the meek girl. "If this will help Sona... if it will prevent her soul from just... rotting away then... let's do it. But I have a request... if you're going to need any more energy for this... use mine. And you'll understand if I don't want to leave her side in this right?" He didn't know what this dream business was cracked up to be, but maybe if she had his energy now she might just dream about it.

The girl looked a bit relaxed when Glenn seemed to lose a bit of his edge. "The dream... She wished for a way to cope. The dream is to help with pain by showering one in happiness. Everything she wishes will come true in The Dream." she explained. "She will... Still be her. But this body is required to keep her alive..." she said, before Glenn said his piece. "I have my energy in ample reserves.... It's fine... Just... Can you please go outside? I'm not decent..." she ushered, showing her discomfort at Glenn wanting to stay while she was in rather revealing clothing.

Glenn was relieved to hear that this dream wouldn't alter Sona for the worse. He tilted his head in confusion though at the girl's insistence that he leave, not understanding at first. "You look pretty decent to be." He insisted back with an unintended compliment, glancing his eyes over her form more readily. When he did and really noticed just how tight and form fitting her attire was, it finally dawned on him what she meant and a blush broke out upon his features. "Oh... oh I'm sorry! I was so focused on Sona that... ah haha of course miss." He apologized while rubbing the back of his head. "I'll be just outside. Please, come get me when you've readied up. I'd like to be by Sona during this as you know." Glenn would leave the girl to her own devices then, lingering a look on the dreadful still golem body before heading outside. Waiting just outside the door while he tried to shake the now perverted image the girl had now filled his head with.

At his first words, she just blushed and looked a bit upset. Perhaps angry? It was hard to tell, but she wasn't pleased. When he went outside, he'd be waiting there a while in silence as the sounds of a metal city rumbling with the hissing of steam, the roars of engines, and the stomping of golem boots. It created a pattern-less cacophony of noise that filled Glenn with an odd sense of focus.

That is, until a bike suddenly roared up the street, and came to a halt in front of him. A woman in a red shirt and red ballcap dismounted from the bike, and took off what seemed to be a somewhat flat square box from the back that was strapped down. She approached Glenn. "Here's your pizza sir. That'll be twelve C." she declared in a monotone yet business like voice.
