RPG RPG Maker [DEVIL'S OFFICE] SHRIFT (RJ209839)


Currently stuck at the first Iron maiden fight. No vlue as to how to beat her, do I have to wait for her to open up to shoot her? But then she just endlessly binds my arms and legs.

And for future reference, how to best her second fight?
 
Get naked and struggle your way out first. After that keep attacking her. Remember to punch yourself because of the seduction debuff.
 
Speaking of English patches, I made a new one.
It contains everything from the previous patch, plus translations for almost all (new) items, skills and status effects. It should also take care of the script that keeps spamming 00:00:00 to text hookers, but I have not confirmed that it doesn't break the 2 (?) places where it's used. I also cannot make any promises about the accuracy of the translations as my knowledge of Japanese is rather rudimentary. I am quite confident in them, however.

NOTE: This patch will only work for the latest (at the time of writing) version of the game, released on July 30th 2018. It cannot work for any other version. If you have made any other alterations (including the script patch and any other translations), you'll have to restore the original files first.

Make sure to read the instructions. It's somewhat complex.
I would appreciate any feedback.

I believe that was the only one, yes. You need a completely fresh copy of the game to install this, though. I will add in a note making it explicit that that includes other translations.
 
So how do you gain experience if you avoid killing monsters?

You don't, but you don't need to either. I beat the first two chapters quite easily (with the exception of the 2nd Iron Maiden fight) on normal difficulty without ever using a magic skill.
The lack of magic is also (partially) compensated by the fact that you get some powerful items by forging good relationships with the monsters in "My Room" (マイルーム - the place where all the monsters you 'recruit' go)

Figured out what went wrong with the Mermaid girl, I had to click on the notes before touching the pumps and then do the pumps in alphabetical order, while ignoring D and going straight down to the body to be able to read the final note which will trigger the event where you holster your weapon and talk to her. At least, that's what I did to get her to show up anyway in chapter re-select. I still don't have an option to go back in time or whatever for the snake girl, not sure if the option even exists for me anymore. Maybe it's because of the choices you make with the guy in the cocoon, I choose the second option. Can't go back and pick a new choice now.

By the way, you can craft a ring now to give to your waifu of choice if you have their affection maxed out at 100. Best save beforehand to see all the different waifu dialogue, no scenes though for now.

i dont know after Haru,Liz, spinx and M.bunny................you know i will not be a surprise if everything ends in a pseudo-harem or MC just forget about his gf to live with his real waifu as option.

or maybe genocide route leads to the true ending ? :cry:

Awww yeah, chop 'em up and use them as material. Now that's what I call a badass protagonist. I hope the final boss in genocide is Sans worthy of a fight.
 
We all know who is Sans but I'm somehow worried the only difficulty will be RNG.

You can also make a gauntlet with still-bloody Barghest claws attached to them. And I thought the Lampas' premise was dark...
 
Looks like the patch doesn't fix the snake girl; so I guess going back and redoing all of chapter 3 on an older save is the only way to get her. Sigh... guess I'll go message the developer for a save hehe. Also it seems the patch broke the title of Chapter into Capter when you start 3-1.

just to be sure, can you explain the bug? i need to check if my sav its bugged.

Not sure if it can be called a bug, rather just a move by the developer to not have contingency plans prepared for his cockblock maneuver. If you don't leave behind an old save before you start Chapter 3, you can't get the snake girl and have to start a new game from scratch or ask for someone to provide one. As it stands, there's no way to restart from chapters with a clean slate.
 
So because of Machine Translator I don't quite understand how befriending monsters works. Can someone run it by me? I'm in Chapter 1-1, so I'm trying to figure out how to befriend the Dog Demon.
