Can someone tell if this little thing is actually useful ?

Walking odd places, I've stumbled upon a little thing called RPGVX_Reader.

Contrary to the name, its docs seem to say it supports all three ruby makers.

Yet, it's a shareware, so I'm not sure what are its limitations.
Also, whatever went as its homesite seems defunct.
For the moment, AFAICT, it can view the archives without unpacking them to the disk first, view some of the databases (armor/weapon/item) as tables, in a very limited way view dialog strings in maps, view scripts and do some very limited savedata editing.

Would someone who actually knows Japanese take a look and tell more details about it ?

Then again, given that the link seems to be already of of date by years, you might get your wish eventually.
