So i ran into a problem with the English translation thing, as soon as i tried to run it, my malware bytes picks it up and quarantines it...are you sure the English translation tool is safe?

from "English translation thing" readme:

- This patch is built and uses parts of Cheat Engine application, which
means that it will most likely require administrative privileges.
- For the same reason as above, some anti-virus software can detect it
as a potential threat - I you're afraid that it is, dont run it.

If I wanted to take over the world or something, I think I could do better than "English translation thing" for a porn game .

I had the same problem my protection said it saw a trojan on the so called "english patch" so what going on here? i want to know if you the maker of the english patch has a virus on your pc and it got on the patch, that only thing i can think of.

I use AVG, which, last I check, is considered a pretty good AV, at least detection wise. Besides, if I had a virus, various MATM executables people are running would trigger AV warnings, and I had no such reports.
I just ran VirusTotal scan on the patch and 29 out of 64 AV engines tagged it, but weird thing is how it is detected by some of them... looks like using part of CheatEngine is in fact one of the reasons for detection.
Anyway, I am a programmer working on a game, and good name and reputation is very important to me, and Eromancer... spreading viruses wouldn't be good for either one.
I can only give you my word that I made everything possible to make sure that the patch is clean, but I'll repeat what I've been saying from the start... if you have doubts, don't run it. Internet is a cesspool and anything can be dangerous and not always caught by the AV and similar software.
IIRC, someone was able to figure out how to decrypt game data some time ago, but since then there was no word about anyone trying to make proper translation, which would be best for everyone. If I had the time, maybe I would try, but I'm up to my ears in MATM stuff for a foreseeable future.

Been quite a while since I've played this game. Firstly what's new with the 2.0 version?

Second, and more importantly, the English patch isn't accessible for me. Clicking the text file link tells me that the file was moved or inaccessible, or something along those lines. Can I get some help with that?

Translation looks like it works on 2.1, for items and options at least. Still can't read the signs and such, but since this is my first time hearing about the translation I have no idea if they're supposed to be english as well.

Considering the error only show gibberish and not letter / jap symbol, I'll suggest using japanese local setting or using local emulator to run the game.
You may also make sure the path to the exe is short and avoid any jap letter in the path name.

Just hope you don't get corrupted file with gibberish name caused by uncompressing the game archive without japanese local setting.

i have the same error. it says something about an internal error(12) and happens when i try to save.
the savefile is created but i have to restart the game and patch it again, quite annoying.
i tried admistrator privileges and compability mode, but it didnt work.

If you got an error when you save, make sure the whole folder(s) set up is not to "read only".
Also try removing jap from the folder name / exe if you're not using japanese local setting.

new link btw, the sad thing is, that I don't have a savegame with all the items anymore, but you can go check my comment with pictures that detail how to get most of the items, it's the comment #758
