Re: The Love Thread (Or Just Warms and Fuzzies)
I got into the Elder Scrolls series way back when I played a demo for Daggerfall. Now I'm running across the land in Oblivion and loving it. Morrowind was great as well. Really, Bethesda has done a lot of good work.
As for Bioware not making a really great game, I'd challenge that. I felt more immersed into Mass Effect 1 and 2 then I did Morrowind or Oblivion. It was hearing my character have a voice, the dialogue trees, the character expressions and movements during those conversations. I loved it, it took me in. Dragon Age was closer to Oblivion conversation wise, though I will say that the voice acting was much better for the NPCs in my opinion.
I also got into KOTOR 2 much easier than the original. It pulled me in more than the first, in which I hadn't even completed the first world.
I will say that I think Dragon Age and Mass Effect are both great games, and I'm eagerly awaiting Dragon Age: Origins Awakening in March.
